Tesla still needs to concentrate on edge cases… Chuck Cook’s FSD crashed on a routine road trip and he had to reset the DAS system to get it going again! His unprotected left turns are still too slow and cause oncoming drivers to brake. It still cannot reverse out of dead ends reliably. On narrow roads with oncoming traffic it just stops instead of backing up. The sun shining directly on the camera results in an FSD abort. This is on FSD 13.2.4. The FSD team really need to ramp up training on edge cases. I’m all for FSD but these edge cases really raises doubts.
Jumping in at 46:00 the semi $$ is definitely not just 50,000 semis x 400k each equals. There will be money to be made with the charging infrastructure, each company is going to want on-site charging solutions that will be sold and maintained by Tesla.

Bot autonomy is easier to deploy than cars because of the safety factor. If bots make a mistake, the failure is not as serious as an automobile mistake. They can continue to refine the bots as they are deployed. Not true with cars/FSD.
FYI: In March 2022 Elon said that he’d be shocked if his company’s Full Self-Driving technology wasn’t “safer than a human” before the end of the year. Maybe that accounts for his current behavior…
