Jonas Hediger ram supports cpu... fast rams ==> your cpu can handle with better gpu (ofc that doesnt mean that if u will oc ur ram to 5k then for example your r5 3600 will be able to handle with 3080)

I believe this video was also released prior to RTX 3060 launch. Something fishy is going on here. In some games 3060 performs either on par or within 2-3fps ahead.. while in other games it's barely faster.
Not if you aren't using it explicitly for video editing. There is absolutely no reason for having 12Gb on a card that isn't much faster than 2060 Super. I think the 3060Ti will be worth more in the long run. Good thing I am not planning on building a new PC any time soon as I'm only a university student with little money and different priorities (since I already have a decent RX 580 rig).

You wasted your money if that's the case... it's more like a very minor side grade. Look at legit reviewers reviews on 3060. Like Hardware Unboxed is a really good source which only are unbiased and only tell the truth and run each benchmark of every game at least 3 times and then calculate 1% lows and average fps. 3060 Ti is the best bang for the buck if could be found for MSRP. You basically get a 3070 for $100 less and it's a beast of a GPU.

But now it will be a bad time to buy used GPUs for more than few years due to miners abusing them and running them at full speeds 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. They absolutely destroyed GPU market for gamers and scalpers aren't helping either and these console launches... only making the situation so much worse. When bitcoin mining first happened in like 2017? 2018? It was bad but it was NEVER this bad. At Nvidia and AMD had stock to buy from. If it wasn't for the current situation we're in, I would be playing around with an RTX 3060 Ti at least or RX 6800. But by the looks of it.. I'll be skipping this gen of GPUs since new GPUs will be around the corner even if things stabilized in half a year. There's usually a new gen GPUs coming out ever year and a half to two years. And often there are refresh of GPUs half way through their life cycle, sometimes even closer to their life cycle. It's always best to buy the best GPU you can afford at the time and if you get a decent enough GPU, you can skip a gen easily. If you get an overkill one and you only play at 1080p or Ultrawide 1080p then it can even last you 2 GPU gens without having to buy a new one. But higher resolutions look much crisper picture wise. 1440p 144hz/165hz are the best bang for the buck monitors. I have a 32" 1440p monitor and I love it and the size of it. I got my first 1440p monitor back in 2014 but it was a 27" and wasn't big enough for me. I'm on my 3rd 1440p monitor because I always have the itch for an upgrade and I love building, re-building rigs. It's like an addictive hobby.. but not a cheap one unfortunately. Although just half a year ago before all this mining, scalpers and console launches, you could build a monster of a rig... even if you were on tight-ish budget. You could build a monster rig out of used components. It's sad to see a GPU market in this condition. I've never seen it this bad, ever

There are rumors of 3070 Ti 8GB and 16GB variants and 3080 Ti 12GB. We'll see if it's true. It would be nice if they also released a 3060 Ti 16GB for like ,$450. That would be the GPU to get. But knowing Nvidia they will probably try and screw all of us with prices and it's sad that in my local Microcenter the ONLY GPUs in stock are GT 730... if you can even call that a GPU... more like iGPU for CPUs that don't come with iGPU.
