    We haven't had a guy like this in ages. He's a Mickey Mantle. He is much more valuable than Judge IMO. I love how down to earth he is. Always interacting with the fans. It makes him seen like a human, like he's just one of us when he's a freakin machine lol. Question is, is cheap Hal gonna give him the $400M its gonna take? Cuz that will be almost a billion dollars tied up to 2 outfields which is insane🤷‍♂

    • @JSK95
      @JSK95 Месяц назад

      It's going to take probably $500 million for 12 years ($40 mil per year; same as Judge) with likely the Mets trying to outbid. Remember Soto turned down a 15-year, $440 million offer from the Nationals, so he's going to want more money than that.

    TBH I'd heard of Soto since he came on as a teen with the Nats.....but not really paid that much attention to him. Never on my team, but when he came to the Yanks I thought this might be the making of something big. Now in the space of a few weeks, he's ingrained within this team. They might as well just start printing money because by the end of the year it's going to take Ft. Knox to keep him here. Boras will make back all the money he lost this year.

    Huge Yankee fan, grew up watching Mantle. Soto an enormous asset. BUT, Mantle would NEVER stand and gaze at his ball going over the wall. He would not show up a pitcher. Love to see some of today’s guys try that against Gibson or even Drysdale. Cheers all.

    • @MikeP_
      @MikeP_ Месяц назад +2

      Why can't you let the guys have some fun and excitement in the game? I swear baseball is the most annoying sport as far as unwritten rules and oldheads hating on young players enjoying their success are concerned. Soto wasn't showing anyone up, he was living the moment.

    • @PeteHob
      @PeteHob Месяц назад

      @@MikeP_ all I was saying was that guys like Bob Gibson would have had another view on that situation. The next time at bat Soto would have gotten one in his ear, as the old timers used to say. Not hating, just observing.

    meaningless now, since judge no longer knows how to hit well. They would have won the ws this year with soto, if judge didn't lose all his skills. He is now a right handed joey gallo, and we are stuck with him and his huge salary for 7 more years. The yankees are just too unlucky. What a shame.

      2 run home run and another line drive single today. The Elite Judge numbers are coming back soon, he's always had occasional cold streaks. Also, Judge is the 4th most walked player in all of baseball with 21 walks (Soto is 1st with 24 walks). We need the other bats in the lineup that surround Judge to heatup so pitchers are forced to actually give him good stuff to hit. (And even better with runners on base). Gleyber was useless as the leadoff for the first stretch of the season (and still is), and since Volpe got moved to leadoff he has also become useless. If we start hitting Verdugo or maybe DJ when he comes back from injury in the 1 spot and they have a .300+ OBP that will be incredibly beneficial to the hitability of the pitches Judge (and Soto) see but also to Rizzo (or Verdugo) and Stanton who hit in the middle of the order. Have faith brother. The offense will get tweaked and individual players will have hot and cold streaks. Gerrit Cole will return to the starting rotation, the front office will make some final solid moves, the offense will overall improve, and we will have a 100 win season with a playoff ticket punched. Inshallah. Juan Soto is the Lisan Al Gaib!@@robotbro7187
