🍪 Chocolate Chip Cookies
• 260g almonds (or any other nut/seed of your choice)
• 200g dark chocolate bars
• 100g dark chocolate chips
• 300g AP flour
• 1tsp baking powder
• 1tsp cornstarch
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 200g cold butter
• 2 eggs
• 120g sugar (I used raw sugar)

My daughter (15) saw the apple cake, made me rewind for the recipe and is now in the kitchen making it. It really looks delicious. She's the best baker I know so I'm sure she'll do a fantastic job of it. She started off like Koko, watching me bake when she was little, now she's way better than I am. 😀

Unfortunately to live the city , skyline life you gotta have a high paying job to affoard that ....which will stress you out because the morning can't be peaceful when you have to get ready for work , stress about food , work etc

Finally a new vlog on this Friday morning. There in Australia, it's hot but here in Canada, it's cold. I miss the summer days not because of the heat but because of the warmer weather and you can do lots of activities during that time of the year. I'm also excited for my grandmother to stay with me and she will teach me a lot about cooking to which i want to because when i will become a mom myself, i need to learn on how to cook. I'm as well an early bird because when you wake up early, you will feel more productive and you will accomplish your task in a nick of time and at the end of the day, you can rest.

I have heard about journaling in the evening to recap your day and that it's good for a good night's rest. But journaling in the morning may set a tune for the day. And since you can decide what to write about, maybe that's a way to set the mood for the day deliberately. I'll try that one for myself. Having a sort of "default-topic" that I can always think about and can give me different topics each day helps too. Particular since the topics are naturally very positive.
It's nice to hear how Koko is happy to see turtle. And see that she is also content and happy to stay with you.
Thank you for the tip on how to improve cooking skills. I did learn baking cookies and cakes. Grandma had taught my brother, my cousins and me that with a single day each year making chrismas cookies. Turned out that is enough for that. I found a video on youtube about making buns, that work well for me. (I still need to rewatch it each time, because I don't know it by heart yet.)
But cooking recipes often say "season to taste" and that is apparently too unspecific for me. So I know rather few recipes at this point. And even the ones I do know, are hit and miss with the spices. I'd probably change the meals about every month or every two months. Well, I'll see at what point I want to have a bit more variety. The scene with the books did remind me of studying too.

The heat in Brisbane was intense this week and woke me up early too :( However, getting up before 5am today meant that I got so much done before work! Thanks! 😊 I've always had a sweet tooth and a love for bread, so once I got an oven, I was so happy to finally be able to start baking haha! I'd browse online for recipes and ask friends for theirs, and gradually, I think I've gotten better at it. ☺️

The idea of a standard weekly meal plan is a nice idea! I saw a similar meal planning idea I like from Kristan Kremer here on RUclips. The video is called meal planning for the whole month in my Erin Condren. She has theme days like Fridays are for grilled chicken and Saturdays are for salad. She also alternate meals every other week on some days like Saturdays, for example weeks 1 and 3 are southwest salad and weeks 2 and 4 are chicken bacon salad.
That sounds like a great way to organize meals too! I’ll definitely check it out. Thank you for introducing me to this idea and for watching my video 😊
