Completed Day-2
00:05 Understanding data types in Python
02:33 Python has different data types like strings, integers, floats, sequences, mappings, booleans.
07:27 Python has built-in functions that can be used to manipulate strings and perform actions more efficiently.
10:08 Inbuilt functions are provided by Python for each data type to simplify programming.
14:55 Using the split function in Python, you can extract a specific part from a string.
17:12 Convert a string to a dictionary and access specific values
21:38 String concatenation and length
23:43 String handling functions and data types explained.
28:08 Regular Expressions can help find particular patterns in a string.
30:19 Regular expressions can be used to find patterns in a file or string
Please make a good Linux playlist for cloud and devop eng.best wishes
@abhishek.veeramalla please include constructor and init in syllabus
Hi Abhishek,
string, int and float part is over. Regular expression part is little bit difficult. but will go in detail. Thanks for this basic video. As usual very good content.
😍
😍
Hi Abhisek,
I completed Day-2 assignments. Thank you for your great support.
Kindly check on the "findall" regular expression.
Amazing
Great content of Python for beginners like me . Gradually I am associating with Python now 😀 . A small query when debugging logs how can we troubleshoot by Integer because Error logs might has diffirent descriptions ?
You will learn that in future videos of the series
Hi Bro, Can you also share the scripts that you have written as a devops engineer in your organization? In future it will be helpful for a lot of us while we get assigned the similar task and for interviews.
They are covered in the project
for i in `ls`; do python $i; done
assignment is done. Thank you Abhishek
🚀
Day 2

Hi Abhishek, . Can't thank you enough for the wonderful work you are doing for people like me :).
Question: output of the below program is same when executed. Can you pls help me understand when to use reg exp split and string split function? is it the syntax difference only or something more ?
import re
text = "apple,banana,orange,grape"
stringsplit=text.split(',')
print ("split using string function",stringsplit)
pattern = r","
split_result = re.split(pattern, text)
print("Split result:", split_result)
output
-------------
split using string function ['apple', 'banana', 'orange', 'grape']
Split result: ['apple', 'banana', 'orange', 'grape']
Yup it is same.
assignment done
Awesome
Hi Abhishek,
Thanks for your teachings. Following your content from the past year. Given multiple interviews but unable to get through any. Can you please provide any guidance or referral.
Thanks in advance.
Could You Please demystify difference between the compiler, interpreter
I have been joining from first day thanks you for that ...and sir I would like to know where to find those notes you show us...i would like to maintain my notes too
Github. Check description
Abhishek you made a mistake at 24:20 by counting the wrong text instead of orginal text and the spaces will be counted too.
Thanks for the correction, I will correct it.
@@AbhishekVeeramalla And your content is so good it will be so helpful Thanks
Hi Abhishek brother, Ive completed aws and DevOps course and have good knowledge can able to crack interviews but there is no openings for freshers only even Im Graduated in 2022 Aug/sep from Non IT BBA Field. What do you think can i apply fake 1 year experience, really ive good hands-on practices following all your videos and so on
hi Abhishek, your AWS is cloud for devops only...is it full aws
Most of theservices we covered in that playlist
May
import re
text = "The quick brown fox"
pattern = r"quick"
match = re.match(pattern, text)
if match:
print("Match found:", match.group())
else:
print("No match") @Abhishek Here is there something missing in pattern = r"quick" ?
Instead of re.match you can use re.search(pattern, text). Since re.match is used to match the regular expression pattern at the beginning of the string
kindly asking sir
the execution of all the programs in one time "command " its showing " [Errno 2] No such file or directory " how could i reslove this
How we get the note anna, i dont have idea of github
Hi Anna,
in the regex part you used pattern = r"quick", can you please explain why we need to use r letter in the pattern, i can get the same result without using r in a pattern like pattern= "quick". is there anything special about that?
Yes, it is required
Thanks for your quick response anna.
But I am getting the same output even though I am not using r in pattern, exactly how this r impact our code?
@Abhishek I tried running the for loop to execute all of the python files. It gave me error. I did do ls before running this for loop
➜ /workspaces/python-for-devops/Day-02/examples (main) $ for i in 'ls'; do python $i; done
python: can't open file '/workspaces/python-for-devops/Day-02/examples/ls': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
abhisek sir i got some confusion. i tried the regex match code it prints "no match" and did ctrl c&v code it printed match found . and again removed the same code and pasted again now the same code prints "no match". why is this uneven output with regex match. i found this "re.match checks for a match only at the beginning of the string." now i removed the it matches if added the no match🤔so is it better to use search instead of match ?
The regular function is returning "No match".Was it not supposed to return "Match found"? Thanks
After this can you do golang sir??
Will think
Hello Sir, Do we need to pass any certifications like AWS Cloud practitioner before studying DevOps tools?
No need
@@AbhishekVeeramalla thank you

Which one ? Devops, aws and terraform playlists are already completed

Hi Abhi, I just started your videos and its great

if I put substring = "are" its still print are found in text....... why ??
copied everything from tutorial point website 😅
Bro . I have my own website on python written even before tutorials point python.
python-by-examples.readthedocs.io/en/latest/variables/introduction/
