I am going to attempt to understand this. So if a line opened at around +120 and it moved to say +180 you should not take this team because everyone is betting the other side. What I’m desperate to know is what are the real odds of a team winning not according to which side the bets are on? Because it seems like the +180 is a good play on teams that are closely matched might win like 3 of 7. Go with popular opinion and lose value if I’m understanding this correctly. But if I knew the actual odds of team winning then I could compare it with the books odds and bet accordingly for value. No one knows who wins and if it’s close to me makes sense go with +150 or do odds not -170 or whatever it is.
Yes so you want to find the biggest differences in opening compared to current odds this will help you limit down the number of games you are going to be researching.
QUESTION: How does line movement change the overall outcome of a game??? If Mr 7ft tall is playing against Mr 2ft short, how does ppl placing bets change the game between Mr 7ft and Mr 2ft??? Won't he block him and dunk on him just the same?? Or...Does Vegas see we're the money is and rig the game???
Both sides of the bet has value at some point. Let's say based on ur example the public is all over 7ft. They push the odds so far that the odds are where he's at 99.9 percent to win. As u know no bet is a 100 percent guarantee. Mr 2 ft has a chance... What is that chance that's what we have to figure out ... The odds on him would be very high... Anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Mr 7 could have an injury before or during the game. He could be sick. And etc where Mr 2 foot gets a break.. By checking line movement, systems , sharp money and etc you are trying to find an edge where your probability is greater than the odds....
