I was just on the spot where you guys were playing in arrows room and in her vent above the door double check that there isn’t something in it ugh my worst fear and with you guys in a new apt it wouldn’t hurt to check ❤️
Hi Britt, I’ve experienced a lot of the continual weight loss while constantly eating, along with anxiety and low energy, and I ended up finding out it was caused by the type of birth control I was on, which was an IUD for me. After I went off of it with in 2 months I started to feel like I could finally keep weight on with more energy. Maybe that could apply to you also so I just thought I’d share.
Please look into the Montessori sleeping, we have since changed from a crib to Montessori method and it’s changed our routines. Our girl is soooo much more independent since changing to a toddler bed on the floor and it’s so much safer than them falling out of the crib! ❤️
Thyroid conditions are so common under diagnosed! I have hypothyroidism and I went to several different doctors. I was so tired and thought it was just a normal part of living until Susan Yara made a video talking about her experience with hashimoto’s Sharing your experience is so helpful to others that need to hear it so thank you!
FYI: Girl you seem HAPPY and it looks good on you! As a mommy to a 15 mo old bb girl, I SO appreciate & enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing & keeping us lonely yet spread very thin mommas entertained! Lol! Day by day! 👶🎀✨
Hi Brittany! I am in a similar situation. My daughter has just turned 2. Only a couple of weeks ago she started saying “up”, apart from that she says nothing. I go through weeks that I am so overwhelmed with trying to do all the repeating and slow speaking, and then I have weeks that I just accept it and enjoy doing hand actions and songs (that we learned from Ms Rachel!). During lockdown I lived with my parents, 2 sisters and partner! 7 people altogether. And it didn’t make a difference so don’t feel like you living alone is the only reason because it’s definitely not. I’m hopeful that she will talk, her understanding is as good as it can be without communication. I have stressed myself out so much researching autism/ speech delay / dyspraxia / hearing difficulties…… the list goes on. I’m currently waiting for an assessment which unfortunately in Ireland takes 3-4 years. But when she said “up”, which she now says 50 times a day. I relaxed. It’s much easier to accept that she will talk, just not yet! First ever comment on RUclips btw 😂 Lots of love to you and Arrow x
I’m glad my 19 month baby doesn’t experience milestones delay, she’s talking non stop but I think because she’s always meeting family and talking with her dad and also daycare is big factor
Hey Brittany, once your baby/toddler shows signs that they are trying to climb out of their crib the American Pediatric Association suggests that you swap them to a toddler bed. I know this sounds daunting but our transition was surprisingly easy. It’s super easy to baby proof their room. If your little one can climb out of their crib they can get very badly injured from the fall.
Hi there, just piggy backing off this last comment. Please transition her to a bed. She is very strong and advanced physically. My friend had a baby climb out of the crib and broke his two legs. Babies get hurt all the time. I know it is a hard transition and will feel like a nightmare at first but it is so much safer especially for a baby like arrow.
I have a daughter 2 weeks younger than Arrow (also advanced and so TALL - grandma takes her to a baby play gym every week lol) and I can’t thank you enough for posting this!! The idea of her getting hurt is way scarier than the transition. Thank you!
You truly are an amazing mom! Arrow is so blessed to have you. I wouldnt worry too much about her vocabulary at this age. Have fun. Talk. Read. In my experience, every child speaks when they are ready. Arrow physical abilities look advanced so maybe she focusing on that before her verbal abilities which lots of kids do as well! Keep up the amazing work!
True. For us is the other way around . My son is not yet 18 months but can count to ten, and say lots of words. But he started walking later at 15 months🤷🏻♀️. They all develope at their own speed.
Agreed! I once heard that all babies/toddlers have the same huge grab bag of developments and skills to choose from, and each child will pull different skills from the bag at different times but they will all get where they need to go. It helped me a lot to stop comparing and worrying about my 16 month old (of course trusting mommy intuition and getting anything checked at the dr that really is a concern)! I hope it helps anyone else reading too 😊
I agree! My daughter was advanced in speech and could identify shapes and count to 10 by 1 but was behind with physical strength and didn't walk or climb things until much later. They're all so different!
My toddler was a late crawler and late walker, but is doing well with speech. I think it is because we read books constantly and we point out things in the book and name all the items we see. Hope this helps, love your videos!
Arrow has about the same amount of words as my nephew who’s turning 2 on the 4th!! He says “thank you,” “mama,” “da,” (dad lol) and “baby.” Sometimes toddlers don’t have that many words because they can communicate their needs to their parents or caretakers without words, so if their needs are being met they’re not too eager to talk!! My brother and I were late talkers as well and went to talk types of therapy and whatever but that was the case for us(: I loved this video it was nice to “hang out” hahaha. I loved watching you and Arrow play it’s so cute how much fun you have together. Ps I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cheetah print set it’s a 10 for sure !
This was suuuuch a great video and exactly what I needed. I sat on the floor while playing with my 10-month old son and this video on in the background. I felt less alone and like I had a mom friend.
Hey Brittany! You probably have been told this, but on the chance you have not, when you find a good endo doc, ask about Hashimoto disease. Everything you mention aligns with the symptoms described about your thyroid especially the goider. A friend of mine actually was diagnosed a few years ago with it and the whole time she thought she had hyperthyroidism as well. I’m not a doctor but I do just some knowledge of this from her. Hope this helps in anyway.
Been loving these long chill DITL vlogs! 🤍✨ I’ve been a follower for yearssss and I’m now also a single mom of a 3yr old daughter. Loved coming on the journey w you.
My son is 11 months old and loves Ms Rachel! I’ve never seen him happier to see someone than her lol. She has taught him so much so far! She’s awesome and I would highly recommend to any parent who works from home
I dont have a baby yet but ive been watching/following you since your birth story!! you are the only mommy RUclipsr I watch and I just love everything about your channel, especially how honest and real you are with everything from mental health to your day to day life. whenever my time comes to have kids, I know ill come back and rewatch ALL videos again lmao
My son is 18 months old and yes the lips moving extra when you talk and then I’ve noticed flash cards really help and books my son likes flash cards more then books the attention span isn’t quite there for books just yet but we are working on it 😂❤️ hope this helps littles are all so different and talking seems like such a pressure for us parents to make sure our kids do at a certain age but your doing amazing momma and life is just crazy for everyone so don’t stress everyone eventually learns to talk ❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you need to you should be able to return the set still just include the tags in the return they don’t have to be attached still. Also, I’m pregnant with my first and have been looking into Montessori. It may be a lot of set up work at first, but you could look at the way they do sleep arrangements. The bell is also a great idea.
Just recently found your channel and love your videos! I can relate to SO much. I have 4 kids under the age of 5, and 3 years spent as a single mama. Your energy is amazing and so is your positivity!!!!
mrs Rachel is the only screen time i give my baby, and its amazing my baby is 6 month old and when he watches it he starts to communicate with her way more then with me or other people
Hey Brittany, I just want to say that, as a very slim person who finds it hard to put on weight, people can sometimes be very insensitive to mention about someone being skinny. It's like if you call someone fat, that's rude but they don't realise calling someone skinny IS ALSO rude. That aside, I think sometimes it is not just how much we consume but how our bodies are absorbing nutrients and from my own experience, stress is a big part when it comes to us not absorbing well. With all that has been going on in your life, must have taken a toll too. Plus all the sleep deprivation, breast feeding and just being a mom to a toddler, trying to run your business and personal relationships; OK, I'm stating the obvious but I think maybe doing a blood work of all your mineral levels, hormones and omega ratios could also help you on your journey. Wishing you very good health again soon!
Omg the lil ugg sandals, I die. You two are so cute. Watching your vids make me feel like I have a community of support (which I'm lacking in the non virtual world lol). Thank you for everything you are!
My daughter hasn’t really started talking much either and I was thinking about it recently and your point makes a ton of sense to me! I haven’t been worried because she does so many other things but it did cross my mind!
You could get an Ikea Kura toddler bed and make it a floor bed until she's ready to transition to a raised twin frame. The kura can be a floor or traditional raised frame so it's perfect for your problem :) HapaFamily on yt has a tutorial on how
Hey mama! We love Ms. Rachel in our house. I also highly recommend baby flashcards off of Amazon. Doing the same thing Ms Rachel does I focus on phonetics and have my baby "watch mama" while I exaggerate and sound things out. It's really helped eased my fears and help me know I'm doing everything I can to help him see facial movements and mouths. Also facetiming everybody you can so she can watch different faces. Don't stress it though she'll get there.
I am so happy you talked about her speech. I feel exactly the same! My baby is 17 months and she really isn’t saying much and I’m so concerned about it. I feel like I t has everything to do that’s she’s only home with me all day everyday. So I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like this.
My toddler is about to be 18 months she doesn’t really talk on her own but will mimic ms Rachel and remembers certain words now when I say them! She helped us out a ton. Also I heard coco melon can be very stimulating and they can’t grasp as much from the show as more mellow learning shows like msRachel.
Ms.Rachel is amazing! My daughter is 17 months and is learning so much! She has 10-15 words at least and she's learned sign language from her too!!!!!!
Re crawling out of crib: we had to switch my son to a toddler bed and we put a gate on his door, that way when he goes to bed we locked the gate, and when he wakes up it’s fine if he plays in his room until he calls for us, but he can’t run around freely in the house without supervision!
My baby is one month younger than Arrow, and he is also not saying a lot.. I have been stressing so much about it, but It felt really good to hear that we are not the only one that don’t want to talk ❤️ you are a big inspiration for me!
Love you girl. Go to the endo and check your parathyroid also. After I gave birth I had similar symptoms and just thought it was being am exhausted new mom. I had a ton of calcium in my blood and it turned out to be hyperparathyroidism. Had a surgery and it fixed it.
Hi Brittany i am a big fan from kenya, my son is the same age as your daughter and i can say miss Racheal on RUclips has had a big impact on my son's speech, his vocabulary has improved so much,he was not even talking last month...i think this pandemic and minimal interactions have a huge impact on the babies speech
I 100% have been feeling the same way about my daughters speech progress! She’s one day older than arrow. We just started speech therapy just to get some tips on how to help her learn and it’s been so good! The main things she’s said to do are to be extremely repetitive and to teach sign language at the same time as words! And give her a reason to speak, so like if she’s pulling toys out of a bucket, hold it and have her say/sign “more” and then give them to her! Or with snacks, don’t immediately open it, try to get her to say “open” and then open it. 💕💕💕
I also live alone with my 15 month daughter and her speech seems to be taking longer then I would like, lol. I recently found out about Ms. Rachel and have been letting her watch that in hopes she can pick up some key and VERY useful words (i.e. hungry, food, more, yes, no) Anything to help make this journey with her alone easier, pleeeeease! It is so frustrating to us both not knowing how to help her 🧡
My baby is currently 16, almost 17 months. My husband and I made it a high priority for her to be socialized despite the pandemic. We made sure we visited close friends and family often (given that everyone was healthy and no reason to suspect being contagious). It may be considered irresponsible, but I knew she had a healthy immune system and her chances of being badly affected by "c" were slim. I'm not saying they're necessarily connected, but her vocabulary is extraordinary. She can repeat almost any word and can say almost everything when she wants it. It really makes toddler life easier when they can articulate what they want/need. But it's important to remember that every baby accelerates at the different developments (social, emotional, mental and physical) at different rates. Being high in one area will mean being slower in another. My daughter's physical development was slower as a result. I would just recommend playdates and family get-togethers whenever it's realistic and feasible!
Ms. Rachel has worked so well for us! My 13 month old was just saying 'mama', 'dada' and 'ball', and now he is saying over ten words. Ms. Rachel is great because she does gestures and sign language too which has really helped him. And we sing and dance to all the songs :) I can say that you WILL get them all stuck in your head on repeat though, haha.
My oldest turned 2 in January and when she was 18 months old I just felt like she wasn't using a lot of words. She understands everything so well but just really wouldn't say much! Her pediatrician wasn't too worried and said that she would probably explode between 1.5-2 but that she would do a SLP referral if I wanted her to. I went ahead and did it and at the initial eval they said the same- that she will likely emerge soon but we could start with 30 min sessions once a week. Let me tell you, I am so glad we started!!! She loves, loves, loves going to speech and all it is is through playing at this age. It has helped me SO MUCH too with how I can learn to help her. I love watching the sessions every week and how far she has come! Would she be where she is now without going? Maybe? But it definitely hasn't hurt. It has helped her have more interaction with others. Our poor pandemic babies were given the short end of the stick for sure being stuck inside and away from others for so long. But, that has just been life and we all are just doing the best we can! Arrow is extremely smart and she has an awesome mama to help her along! Just wanted to give my story and say that if you ever feel like she would benefit from speech therapy don't stress it and just do it!
Hey Brittany! I have followed your journey since you were pregnant. My daughter is 6 weeks younger than Arrow. She says 60+ words. I think it’s never to early to mention to your ped, especially since some speech specialists are backed up a few months.
Loved this video! It was so relaxing. My son is a little bit younger than Arrow and doesn't say much either probably for the same reasons. My mother(of 9 kids) pointed out that he is very smart and good at problem solving so he will start talking when he's ready. Arrow shows the same signs, such a smart little girl and I bet she will have the sweetest voice when she's ready!! You are such an awesome mom. I hope you are able to figure out you health and feel better. ♥️
Just saying hi ✌️ from cold Canada. Watch you a lot, as a mommy of a nine month old I find your videos so important. Please always think of yourself and your family first but I’m always so happy to see you upload (even though I know it must be a lot of work) ❤️ best wishes and lots of love, Al
I have missed some of your videos but I'm currently also having my thyroid checked out, my results all came back fine too. I feel anxious and sweaty too but not the kind of anxiety that has a reason. I also had a 24 hour ecg and a pap smear but those results aren't in yet. My symptoms started about 8 months postpartum. I hope we both get some answers soon🥰
My 15 month old is both motor and speech delayed currently. He’s also been pretty isolated with no day care and pretty much just me or just his dad with him since we work opposite schedules. He just started crawling 2 months ago, so he’s progressing, but I totally understand how hard it is to see other babies their age ahead of where your child is!
Where did you get the learning tower and do you like it? I have a 20 month old who ALWAYS wants to be held and I feel like that could help? Also he says up, mama, papa, hi, bye, and animal sounds. That’s about it but I’m rly not worried. They develop at their own pace and as long as they are happy and learning I’m thankful.
My daughter is 19 months old and she’s a little behind in speech also! Doctor doesn’t seem to be concerned. Just reading to her more and repeating a lot. She’s started to say a few more things. Just trusting the process and knowing she’ll get it when she’s ready.
My mom has thyroid issues and it wasn’t caught when first tested. She had to have specific things tested to find out: TSH, t3, t4, and especially the TPO antibody.
The Cubo ai camera has a feature where you can get alerts if they leave the cot and you can draw a da get area like the doorway etc that it alerts you if they are in it… so good! Xx
I have a daughter about a month ish behind Arrow and she picked up words real quick. But I also have a 5 year old who talks non-stop so that might help. I just find I give her all the opportunities to try new words or say things, like I ask if she can say “pouch” and whatever noise she makes back I say good job and then we repeat that over and over or I sing to her and that encourages her to try new words. Most of the time I can’t understand what she says but she is like older sissy and talks nonstop. Any words are good words and every kid is different! Good idea on the door alarms though, might have to use those too ☺️ have a great week!
My sons 18 months and I just talk how I normally talk to him, he doesn’t say much but the two mini sentences are “what’s this” and “play please” other words are mom, dad, tay (his aunt). Use to say dog but kind of forgot there’s definitely other words but not continuously. You’re doing great!!!!
Hello, my daughter Emma is as old as Arrow and she also does not talk. But I feel like she understands almost everything I say. I think im going to wait until she's 2 and then visit an speech therapist, just to help her a little bit. Much love❤
My daughter just turned 2 in January and she didn’t really say much before that- she’s JUST starting to expand her vocabulary, but it hasn’t exploded yet. So just give her time and like you said: it’s nothing to be concerned about 😊
I can relate a lot to the doctor issue you are experiencing. I fully agree you should be able to get a second, even more if needed, opinion until you find someone that has proper answers. Best of luck and hope you can start feeling better! Also, same about the toddler-speaking thing, my 3 year old started talking much earlier and more words at a younger age than my 1.5 year old is right now. He still just says a couple words like mommy and baba, and lots of other sounds we worked out to mean certain things but not actual words yet…trying not to compare them but it’s hard!
Agh! We are so similar with our body/looks! My body is the same as yours! I’m the same height & am also having weight issues! I eat so much food(currently breastfeeding too) and I don’t gain any weight! I’ve always been like this & it’s so frustrating! I’m scrawny looking & would like to gain a healthy amount of weight. I’ve gone to a couple different drs for blood test & they say my thyroid is fine. I am starting to wonder if I also have hyperthyroidism. I am right there with you on your frustrations.
The door/window bells are genius. I know a couple who has lost a young child due to them leaving the house on their own during winter. If I have a child I will definitely get something like that bell.
my son loves ms. Rachel on you tube she does speech .... omg you just said it lmao I'm going to post any ways!!! keep it up your doing great. also try to not answer for her , now that you have shown her items and objects ask more open ended questions....... she is so precious
You literally could’ve been me talking about my daughter!! I even have her watch Ms. Rachel. I think you’re right. This pandemic has delayed kids speech, especially those without siblings or other people in the household. I think it’s just going to take them some time for it to ‘click’.
We did a floor bed with our baby girl and she crawls to her door and beats on it to wake us up sometimes lol. She is one year old. The other day she woke up and went to her window and opened the curtain and stood there looking out for a few minutes😂 I love it. I don’t know what we’ll do when she is tall enough to open the handle
Would you be able to put a baby gate outside her door/room? That way if she does get out and open the door, she can’t go very far. That’s what we’ve done with our toddler.
Yes yes yes to an endocrinologist. As soon as I found one, I got so much more help. Regular tests, ultrasounds, made a plan, got excellent ongoing care once I had my radioactive iodine ablation. It makes SO MUCH of a difference.
Just a quick recommendation! When I switched my 2 year old to his toddler bed we got something called a Door Monkey on Amazon! I was skeptical at first but we have stairs so I was so worried. Its been a few months now and its great! I can check in on him in his room because it lets the door be cracked when walking by. Just had to share :)
I love your vlogs! So sorry you're going through issues with your thyroid. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 2 years ago and I am struggling because I have a hard time losing weight and always having such an extreme between being hot to cold. pregnant with #3 currently and final pregnancy. Hoping everything will regulate after several years of no babies lol! Also for Arrow not speaking I just wanted to let you know I went through this with my oldest. We ended up doing EI services until he was 3 and then soon as we stopped he started talking LOL, my youngest soon to be middle kiddo will be 2 in April and she says maybe 20+ words and I even get told that's not enough... I think every baby is just so different so if you do not feel worried then do NOT stress about it. YOU'RE a wonderful mama
Your always so stylish Britney I love the way you decorate and dress and dress Arrow! I'm going to check out Zara and see what kind of clothes they have for boys. My son is the same age as arrow and he only says mama and dada and Hi sometimes and sometimes he said the number 9 and the letter H G or I. I've heard him say doggy bumble bee and peakaboo and yay but that was only one time and never again said them. Every baby is different. I used to beat myself up because my son doesent feed himself or want to chew any food and other babies have no problem so reminding myself that every baby is different really helped me.
i wouldn’t be too worried about her not talking. my niece and nephew both took a while to really start and this was well before the pandemic and they had constant exposure to people talking. they were both like arrow! lots and lots of babble. but she definitely understands you and you can even hear her saying “where’d the baby go?” in the tunnel! she’ll be okay.
Just want to tell you you're not alone when it comes to your baby's vocabulary! My baby girl just turned 18 months and all she ever really says is "uh oh" and "dada." she JUST learned "no" for the first time the other night lol. She doesn't even say mama 😭 but I'm in almost the same boat as you. I'm a stay at home mom and it's mostly just me and her all day every day. Plus with the pandemic we don't see other children very often. It's hard sometimes seeing other children her age doing so much talking but I don't think it's any concern either since mine and yours both clearly understand so much. Thank you for mentioning this! I was wondering if it was only my pandemic kid or what 😂
I have a 18 mo and 6 mo, we do a little miss Rachel, a little flash cards, but at the end of the day my kiddo only talks when he wants to talk. Any veteran mom I’ve talked to says that one day they’ll wake up and just start talking. I felt so bad at first but I’ve just learned to take it a day at a time and let him talk when he wants! 💖
We love songs for Littles. My first born little girl has a speech delay. She was born December 2019 just before the pandemic. We took social distancing very seriously and we feel that may have contributed to her not speaking. She only really sees me and my husband who both work from home. We are still social distancing. She has been in early intervention since she was 17 months old and she works with a speech therapist. Did you hear the cdc just pushed back the milestone for how many words a child should be speaking from 24 months to 30 month I think due in part of the pandemic. Love your videos and been watching you for a long long time way before you were a mama, back when you were coloring your hair all the different colors. Little Arrow is so cute! 💗
Brittnay! I have hashimotos.. It started out as hyperthyroidism.. Then after possibly years of being undiagnosed ("normal labs").. The weight and fatigue just started to pile on. I lost weight without trying. Tones of anxiety early on.. Highly encourage you to keep digging for answers. And look up auto immune type diet and lifestyle interventions. Medications will ultimately only get you so far.
I have a 19 month old as well and she has like - her own weird words for stuff. It will come! We are all doing our best. If worse comes to worse there are people that are trained to help!
I have been watching you since we were both pregnant during the pandemic and i just wanted to say that you are an AMAZING momma and I have loved watching your little girl grow up. Besides that, I work as a psychologist and specialize in identifying speech impairments, Autism, ADHD, and a lot of other disabilities in kids. To echo what others have commented, all children develop on their own time and you are doing everything you can (reading, talking to her, etc.). Children born during the pandemic have (in general) shown a little slower development in some areas compared to others for so many reasons. Also- If you didn't talk until 3 years old, there is a higher chance that Arrow's speech could follow a similar pattern. Nothing is set in stone. You might want to look up the CDC milestones based on her age to see if she is behind on 1-2 areas and you can always request a speech evaluation if you are interested in knowing if she's "behind." I would not sweat it, but ignoring it is not advisable... 90% of a child's brain development happens in the first five years, and I ALWAYS tell parents to get extra support in the early years because it can make SO much more of a difference for the rest of their lives, if they get some speech therapy or whatever they need in their younger years. Just some food for thought. You are an inspiration, momma!
Also not sure how tall she is but I think I remember you saying she was 3 feet (36 inches) on stories, and at 35 inches they can’t be in a crib anymore! But idk if you meant three feet literally or not 🤣🥰
I think arrow is right where she needs to be. One thing that I have always loved and appreciated about my pediatrician is that she has consistently told me to not compare my child to other children. My sister and I had daughters five days apart. Both of them went through the stages of infancy to becoming a toddler polar opposite from one another. One would be a great eater while the other was terrible. One bottle-fed and the other breastfed. Never the same weight or height. One slept amazingly through the night and the other could barely make it to 2 hours before waking. When it came to speech it was the same thing. One started using words earlier while the other took a little longer. they both grew up are during the pandemic, are 2 1/2, and lost most of that interaction with other toddlers/ infants during the pandemic. I do think it makes it difficult for children, but I also think children most of the time, "do" when they are ready. This also may be a highly frowned upon suggestion, but my daughter did use an iPad to YES watch youtube, but also to play games. We found so many different ones with words, numbers, letters, colors, music, animals, you name it. We also tried, like you said, to speak straight to her face so she could see us speak as much as possible and I read at least a book or 2 a night with her before going to bed. I'd like to believe that some of these things were a little bit helpful during a time when interacting with others was pretty much nonexistent. You are killing it though with being a parent. Arrow is smart, loved, happy. Just remember all kids have their own time. Sorry for the explosive amount of info.
Whenever you were playing hide and seek in the tunnel it almost sounded like Arrow said “baby go” trying to repeat you! So sweet to you how you are with her☺️
I also have a bb girl she’s 15 months old but I make it a point to take her out 2 to 3 times a week to the park and on visits but I do feel like the lock down has an effect on her speech and communication because me and my sisters spoke and walked before a year old which I thought she would do
I think the talking thing is absolutely legit. My sisters baby girl was born June 2020 and doesn’t say very many words at all. She says duck, yaya (which they think means grandma) and a few other things but she just kind of yells a lot. I think it’s absolutely from the pandemic and not being around people. My baby is only 6 months so we’ll see if it’s true for him too. Also, sending lots of love you find an endocrinologist!!! I have hypothyroidism and I thought literally I was just getting old and tired and achy but it turns out my thyroid was way out of wack and medicine helps tremendously. Based on what you’re describing it absolutely sounds like hyperthyroidism (the weight loss, even you mentioned feeling anxious at times). I really hope you find someone who will listen and help you 💜
We use a floor bed for our toddler (hardcore Montessori families use one from newborn on) - literally a double mattress on the floor. The whole room is toddler-safe, and we have a safety contraption on the door knob which makes it nearly impossible for her (and us parents for that matter, LOL) to open the door.
Did you get a thyroid test when you were pregnant? I feel like they only do a full blood work when you are pregnant or whatever rather just in the day to day life. I have hashimotos which was diagnosed when I was pregnant. I got put on levothyroxine and I feel so much better! However I developed a goiter too but once they upped my meds it gradually shrunk (it’s still there). Also I’ve heard caffeine can make thyroid symptoms worse, it definitely makes me anxious if I have too much or at the wrong time of day. Sorry for going off on a tangent and I hope this makes sense and you get some answers soon!
I have a two year old! He is in speech and his therapist told me they have more kids than ever his age and a little older coming in. She totally thinks it’s because we’ve all been wearing masks the past few years! So I’m right there with you mama. Our kiddos got this and will eventually learn 🙏🏼
As everyone has said, weirdly at the start of the PANINI I also found Songs for Littles aka Ms Rachel and gosh...it really made a difference. Same for Baby Signing time. I never knew how great these videos were until I was actually seeing the science behind it so I think I lucked out. Signing Time also is a Ms Rachael lol! Ms. Chelsea is decent too. My girlie is a month behind yours but she's stringing together small sentences, talks a lot, and still signs for everything as well. My child has always loved Ms Rachel from the start. I think that you shouldn't worry though because if you think about it from past perspectives, like 1800s and during plague times etc we are all going through the same thing. I think sometimes there can be benefits to mainly being around all adults and more alone time even if there are concerns with speech delays on your end. She will be prepped to be happy with small things and playing at home. I think those are really important qualities to have especially with how bad things are in the world. Finding the happiness in small daily activities is truly life changing and in some ways can prepare you for any hardships in the future. I've noticed during the PANINI those always having to be extroverted or having to "not be bored" constantly really suffered more. (This isn't even including all the other world traumas lol. 🙃)
Hi!!! I hope you enjoyed hanging with us today ❤️ I have all the links for ya in the video description 😘
Random but where is Arrows dresser from?
I was so tired and thought it was just a normal part of living until Susan Yara made a video talking about her experience with hashimoto’s
Sharing your experience is so helpful to others that need to hear it so thank you!
First ever comment on RUclips btw 😂
Lots of love to you and Arrow x
I'm not sure when she posted it but she did share on IG that she transitioned her to a toddler bed! 😊
I have a daughter 2 weeks younger than Arrow (also advanced and so TALL - grandma takes her to a baby play gym every week lol) and I can’t thank you enough for posting this!! The idea of her getting hurt is way scarier than the transition. Thank you!
I switched my son to a Montessori floor bed when he was 8 months old. So much better than a crib
I agree Arrow looks really advanced in her mobility she's so strong!
Love your videos! Thank you for being so real and raw. You are very relatable.
Love Arrow. Shes a doll.
Lots of love from Canada
Thank you so much!! xoxo
Your energy is amazing and so is your positivity!!!!
mrs Rachel is the only screen time i give my baby, and its amazing my baby is 6 month old and when he watches it he starts to communicate with her way more then with me or other people
Hey Brittany, I just want to say that, as a very slim person who finds it hard to put on weight, people can sometimes be very insensitive to mention about someone being skinny. It's like if you call someone fat, that's rude but they don't realise calling someone skinny IS ALSO rude. That aside, I think sometimes it is not just how much we consume but how our bodies are absorbing nutrients and from my own experience, stress is a big part when it comes to us not absorbing well. With all that has been going on in your life, must have taken a toll too. Plus all the sleep deprivation, breast feeding and just being a mom to a toddler, trying to run your business and personal relationships;
OK, I'm stating the obvious but I think maybe doing a blood work of all your mineral levels, hormones and omega ratios could also help you on your journey. Wishing you very good health again soon!
Omg the lil ugg sandals, I die. You two are so cute. Watching your vids make me feel like I have a community of support (which I'm lacking in the non virtual world lol). Thank you for everything you are!
I love the most the vidoes were u show day to day stuff like today and just more vlog type ones i guess
The kura can be a floor or traditional raised frame so it's perfect for your problem :) HapaFamily on yt has a tutorial on how
I have an 19-month little boy and I love watching you and Arrow!!
Also a single mom:)
Giving you a huge hug. Single moms are my superheroes ❤️
Hey mama!
This has been my favourite vlog, I love the beautiful relationship you have with Arrow. You are an amazing Mum ❤❤❤
Really enjoyed this blog! Speech is definitely a hot topic for my 19 month as well. Good tips!
Where did you get your Arrow necklace?! It's so cute!
If the endocrinologist doesn’t help. I highly recommend a naturopath/integrative doctor. I tried the endo way and it was not helpful for me .
Thank you for putting up your content! It's lovely to see and relate to your life!
I think it’s never to early to mention to your ped, especially since some speech specialists are backed up a few months.
ur doing so great! love to see ur love for lil miss arrow
Where is that white, baby chef stool from?! That's the best way I can describe it- I'm very eager to know!
I love love that leopard print set! Where did you buy that necklace and the other A one that is halff pearls?
Highly highly suggest an endo. I have pretty bad hypo thyroid and my family doctor just wasn’t cutting it.
Unrelated to the topics in the video, where did you get that cute crawl tunnel?! I love the colors, I can’t find anything like it.
Can you link Arrow's "A" sweatshirt? It's the cutest thing!
Great to hear you're going to an endocrinologist and following up on your health
Hyperthyroidism I think....
love the "its a 10"...especially the "light" one
I used to beat myself up because my son doesent feed himself or want to chew any food and other babies have no problem so reminding myself that every baby is different really helped me.
where did you get that ‘Arrow’ name necklace??! i adore it!!!! 😻😻
i wouldn’t be too worried about her not talking. my niece and nephew both took a while to really start and this was well before the pandemic and they had constant exposure to people talking. they were both like arrow! lots and lots of babble. but she definitely understands you and you can even hear her saying “where’d the baby go?” in the tunnel! she’ll be okay.
I love your necklace were did you get it at?
I would so much rather hang out with you than see an amazon haul 🤍🤎
Hi Brittany! I love watching your videos!!!
Totally random, but what size do you wear in the Skims velour hoodie?
Just put baby down for his first nap so this came at the perfect time to be able to clean and hang out 🥰
Also not sure how tall she is but I think I remember you saying she was 3 feet (36 inches) on stories, and at 35 inches they can’t be in a crib anymore!
Hi, could you please tell me where arrow’s “A” sweater is from?
I have an 18 month old and I love watching you and Arrow !!❤️❤️
Whenever you were playing hide and seek in the tunnel it almost sounded like Arrow said “baby go” trying to repeat you! So sweet to you how you are with her☺️
I also have a bb girl she’s 15 months old but I make it a point to take her out 2 to 3 times a week to the park and on visits but I do feel like the lock down has an effect on her speech and communication because me and my sisters spoke and walked before a year old which I thought she would do
Brittany: “where’s the pacies?!”🗣
Me: “there’s one in your jacket pocket!“🗣
I totally was saying the same thing aloud lolll
GIRL SAME... i was like "turn around. nope, nuh-uh. turn around." hahahah
@@makeupp365 right like she can hear us😂😂🤞
I think the talking thing is absolutely legit.
OMG… Arrow group up so fast 😍❤️ you both looks great ❤️❤️❤️
Did you get a thyroid test when you were pregnant? I feel like they only do a full blood work when you are pregnant or whatever rather just in the day to day life. I have hashimotos which was diagnosed when I was pregnant. I got put on levothyroxine and I feel so much better! However I developed a goiter too but once they upped my meds it gradually shrunk (it’s still there). Also I’ve heard caffeine can make thyroid symptoms worse, it definitely makes me anxious if I have too much or at the wrong time of day. Sorry for going off on a tangent and I hope this makes sense and you get some answers soon!
Hi Brittany! Arrow is so adorable!! 🥰
I have a two year old! He is in speech and his therapist told me they have more kids than ever his age and a little older coming in. She totally thinks it’s because we’ve all been wearing masks the past few years! So I’m right there with you mama. Our kiddos got this and will eventually learn 🙏🏼
Also speech therapy has been really fun and enjoyable for him. I think it’s taught me a lot about how to communicate and talk with him
As everyone has said, weirdly at the start of the PANINI I also found Songs for Littles aka Ms Rachel and gosh...it really made a difference.
