4R75W Shift Reprogramming Kit with Brian at Monster Transmission
Brian goes through the process of installing a shift reprogramming kit on a 4R75W to make it a level 2 shift. He shows us each step of the process to modify the shift plate and which springs, end plugs and valves to replace.
This shift level 2 will be firmer than a stock transmission.

Looks like it can be done with the trans in the car, yeah? My Towncar is so mushy on shifts. I know it's supposed to be, but I can't stand it.

Yes just the valve body needs to be removed.
