I wonder if there's a way to use a relay or video switcher to change between 2 rear cameras with the Tombo. For instance in my truck I'd like the main rear view camera mounted in the third brake light area for main driving. But if I had a tricky parking situation, I could flip a switch to change the view to a lower bumper mounted view, like the v90 can achieve. That would really be cool to have 2 rear views at the flip on a switch!
Hi H! Ah there is a switcher available, I placed a link to it in the video description. If you do run the switcher, you can simulate V90 by running 2 standard cameras as you described, 1 mounted in the truck cab aimed towards the cars behind you and 1 camera at the end of your truck bed pointed down to see your bumper. But it may be cheaper just to run V90 on the rear of your truck bed, since it can provide both a view of rear for driving and a view of the rear bumper for backing up (unless you want to monitor the contents of your truck bed, then mounting separate cameras would be the way to go). I'm actually working on a review for the switcher (and side cameras) stay tuned so you can see how it works. Cheers!
Great mirror option! A bit out of my price range though... What I'm looking for is something to replace my OEM mirror with a unit that works well at night. My GM mirror does very little to avoid the blinding headlights behind me. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hi J! Ah I use my mirror with the LCD screen on all the time, so I'm not using it as a standard glass mirror. This means I do not get glare from cars behind me since I'm looking at a digital screen (imagine a recording) not an actual reflection like a mirror does (now if you have screen off to use as a regular mirror and aim the mirror like a normal mirror then you could potentially get glare). Buy yes I recommend Tombo only for those looking for all the bells and whistles. Hi J! Nope, typically dash cam cameras will not interface to anything else other than the dash cam.
