The reality is that one is born gay and it is not some sort-of arbitrary choice one makes!
At 88 through my life, I have suffered the kind of persecution that gays suffered in the early years!
It is sooo good to see that gays no longer need to hide their reality from the world like I had to do most of my life.
With our newly found openness comes acceptance, love, and reverence!
I am convinced that our Christian Churches were the source of persecution of gays through the years.
The Middle Ages orientation of our churches in which life is the avoidance of sin and not the kind of charity, love, and acceptance Jesus taught!
Immorality should not be an automatic assumption about gay people!!!

If you only knew the kind of world I grew up in as a gay person (born 1936), you wouldn't believe it!
Catholicism, priests, confession were no help to the attitudes of hate that I had to face in my early years
where I attempted to be a good Catholic with my gay baggage!
Church absolutely no help whatsoever!
