Similarly we have our most holiest place which is buried under the Al Aqsa mosque built in Jerusalem. @@Asmodeus406 initially they are appointed by govt. But it is a separate body. Govt will not have any authority to make a decision on behalf of trust. The donations collected belong to trust, not to govt, not to muzrai dept. The spending will be decided by the trust not by the govt. Govt can't just give that money to the development of some other religion.

Humble request - please change the word Temple to Mandir. Not just for Ram Mandir, but for all so called "Hindu Temples." Christians go to Church, Muslims go to Mosque, Jews go to Synagogue. However, Sikhs go to Sikh "Temple" and Hindus go to Hindu "Temple." Why? Because of colonization. We need to remove this word temple, as it has no relation to our Sabhyachaar or Sanskriti. It is our responsibility to teach the word Mandir to others. We need to stop using english words to define our DHARAM. Jai Hind! Jai Shri Ram!

Mandir is a Hindi term. In the South, we rarely use the term mandir. It's Gudi in Telangana/AP; "Aalayam" in Tamil Nadu, Kshetram in Kerala, and "Devasthana" in Karnataka.
