when i heard Aquiles Priester (drummer) back in Angra, ive always thought that someday his talent will be recognized. next thing you know he got the gig with Vinnie Moore, auditioned for dream theater, and now he's touring with T-Mac. keep rocking Aquiles!
Why do people feel the need to bash Nili? She's still really young and the fact T mac asked her to tour with him says alot about the respect he has for her and her playing. HE feels she is a good compliment to his playing, what does it matter if she doesn't have the raw skill yet? She's still what, like 24? The fact she's able to play with such an amazing guitarist at that age should be a sign that she DESERVES to be up there with T. Mac.
exactly, the people who post garbage about her.... are they touring with TMac... well, maybe he's called them and nili took the gig first? or maybe they just don't like to see a successful budding musician. I;d like to say whether woman or man. but unfortunately the positive bias is towards the latter... bring on the trolls
Bill, sadly I think it's because she's a woman. Look at Orianthi. She doesn't play a style I necessarily like, but she's called overrated and is accused of using her body to sell records and all sorts of crap. Hell Steve Vai played with her on one of her songs and she held her own against one of the greatest guitarists to ever live. That's skill. Nili is just as good and can keep up with T Mac, which you could argue is harder than Steve Vai. I wish there were more amazing female guitarists out there but they would probably get the same bullshit that Nili and Orianthi get.
Chris Holland I had seen some comments around that time where people were bashing on Nili for not being George Lynch or something when it came to Tears of Sahara iirc. Been too long, I forgot exactly what I was ranting about lol
I remember having the EOI cassette in '87. Great stuff to play drums to. (Steve Smith''s drumming) As girls get 4mil hits playing drum covers....now. T M's stuff will be around like Santana for years to come as the rap, etc. goes in the can.
he can play I think he went school in Hertford CT where I from cool . That girl can't play she should take lesson from my dad and petrucci and Steve vai tony mccalpine is a monster.
haha now i can see tonys been teaching lessons so he could shop for a cute girl he can tour with to do his harmonies hahaha. good job tony I woulda done the same thing!
Tony is the attraction of the show, not Nili Brosh. Tony would be better to team with another accomplished guitarist rather than this person. Sure she is good, but lacks the depth of Tony. Its commendable that Tony is still earning his living this way, considering the general public are fucking morons and undependable for earning money from. It takes patience to travel shows and set up everything, play the music right, and earn the money. Its better Tony doing this Id be ready to go postal
+5zazen Anybody making a living playing instrumental music deserves respect imho. Doing that playing instrumental rock is possible for just a handful of people.
One of Tony’s greatest pieces
Tony Macalpine and Nili Brosh are excellent together. They should do an album together.
yes.
I saw Tony in Nashville last week, first time seeing him, met him after the show what a great guy.

This song sounds great with the dual guitar attack of Tony & Nili. Shred that grooves.
What can you say? He's incredible. One of the best I have ever seen or heard.
Definitely
The piano piece so majestic that it cannot be put into words.
