Played this one live back in 1989 a few times, it has aged well!
We should recognize the impressive work of Steve Smith on drums on the whole album: he's been great at following all the evolutions of Tony's pieces.
Just watch 1995 live version of this song in MIT. Tony is just impeccable and the emotions he puts into this one is amazing.
I tell this story often but one day back in 2004 I visited my local record store and outback there was a box of cassettes selling for 50 cents each. That day I found 4 Gems. Metal Fatigue - Allan Holdsworth. Edge of Insanity- TMac. M.A.R.S - Project driver and Macalpine - eyes of the world. I couldn’t believe what I found. I am so glad as at the time I was really getting into the shrapnel stuff. Macalpines neoclassical stuff stands out from alot of others. Classic album and amazing job on the cover. Cheers 🇨🇦
Mac Alpine is truly a master...his music is speachless...i´ve always admire him. To bad he didn´t became the famous he might wanted to be...totally underrated...excelent musician though, only levels with other master guitarrists such as Vai or Satch, etc.

One of my favorites from him period - this album was my euro vacation soundtrack when I graduated from high school and I still can see the French country side in my mind's eye when I listen to it ❤❤ Discovered him in a music shop in Cologne Germany and bought a blank tape there so I could record it at my friend's house back in Dusseldorf so I could listen to it ion my Walkman wherever we went in that month of me being there, magical to say the least !!! Great job Desifinados !!!

Great job on this cover. The intro to this song sounds like it belongs in a giallo film. My favorite album by Tony and really underrated.

Where did you get the backing tracks from? Did you lay them down yourself? I've been trying to cover this song on keyboard since the early 90s, I would play it over a midi file I sequenced myself but that file.. well it was created during a time when floppy disks were still relevant hahaha I have the disk but the file is corrupt. Nice cover. I enjoyed it very much.
Hi! cool to hear that story from the 90s! it was really tough at that time without todays tech. I made the BT by myself. I think there where some midi files available on the internet that I used as a "template" though. Let me know if you need anything.
