I need some opinions! I REALLY love making this type of content and hope you enjoy watching it. Would you like to see more videos like this on the channel or do you prefer a more traditional video? Let me know by responding to this comment, it would very much help me out!
I really enjoy your more professional style videos without the edited in silly stuff. I am sure many enjoy it, but I miss feeling like I am listening to a pro.
@@ms.schwartzy8358Happy to hear your input! All opinions and suggestions in these type of videos are still 100% my professional opinion as a stylist of 17yrs just a very different take.
I usually don’t comment but must tell you that you have to be the hardest working content creator! Your videos are so clever and fun to watch-but they must take a lot of effort and time to create. I appreciate your hard work and really love this video style. Keep up the good work!
Wow thank you so much for the kind compliment! I often question my own sanity when I come up with these video ideas 😂. I have so much fun creating them though and I find them so much more enjoyable to watch! Thank you for taking the time to comment, means a lot ❤️
That was excellent. 🎉😂❤😊😅 I have a dupe of the voluume from Aldi's I feel like when I watch that being used is a little better. It's a lot more money. I'll wait for a sale .
That was an incredibly well produced video. Full of advice and heaps of fun. It couldn't have been easy putting it together and editing it. We're eternally grateful. 💙
Wow what fun and crazy production. I love the bounce and the shine! Your haircut is perfection. I would love to find a stylist who could do such a beautiful precise cut.
You are incredible! I was thinking that my bob was boring, flat, and just didn't work (I have fine, thinnish hair). Thanks to your fantastic blowout brush tricks, use of mousse, texture spray, and the light hairspray - and of course, finishing with the humidity spray, my hair looks fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was getting so frustrated and pretty much wearing a tiny (and I mean tiny) ponytail most days. Keep going!!! I am sure you are a lifesaver to many women. 💖
Oh this makes me so happy to be hear! Hair can make or break our moods(at least mine lol) and I always want everyone to be able to wear theirs with confidence! Thank you for taking the time to share and supporting the channel ❤️❤️
Just love your clever scripts and acting in these videos- hair is not your only talent! I can't pick a favorite look because your hair always looks good, darn it. As a more "seasoned" individual, I usually go for a bit more lift and curve to avoid looking too much like a Basset Hound, no insult to Bassets intended.
Well Summer, you have done it again! Creative Perfection ❤❤❤ I love both styles but I have to choose Bouncy Brenda. My hair is fine and getting thin now as I am 75. Flater hair just doesn't work for me, though I love how it looks on Silky Sue. I'm life long hair stylist and have worn a bob since 1982. It's my signature style. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. I always look forward to seeing the next one. ❤❤❤
Summer, your creativity and imagination in your videos is superb and does not go unnoticed. I can only imagine the time and effort you put in the development of videos like this one!💗🙌 I really like the versatility of both styles, but Bouncy Brenda gets my vote.✔️
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! For some reason these more creative videos don't "perform" as well as other but I have so much fun making them!
That was the most entertaining and fun "how to" video I have ever watched!! What a great way to draw your audience in!! I currently have this cut! My vote goes to Bouncy Brenda today but both are beautiful!
That was such a great video idea ... contrasting styling the bob cut silky or volumized! I just loved it for both the education and the entertainment! As to which one to vote for ... I love them both, but volume does always edge ahead for me!
I'm starting the long process of growing my hair back out actually! Keeping the length as is now(it's a little longer than it was in this video) to grow out the layers I actually cut for this video 😄.
I absolutely LOVE your videos and your tips have saved my hair! Your product recommendations have been life changing for my fine, straight hair. Thank you so much, Summer! I’m a huge fan. 🎉❤
I love this fun video! Both styles are great but Bouncy Brenda would be a challenge for me. Maybe hot rollers, Velcro haven’t worked. I don’t have a Voloom but I have thought about it. The blow dry brush is easier for me so that’s what I use.
I agree with everyone else, you are so creative and fun to watch! And most of all extremely helpful with styling my hair. I love that you explain why you’re doing a peculiar technique and why they certain technique is needed!!🤩 Thank you so much!
Everyone has been so sweet with their comments! Couldn't ask for a better family here! So glad I'm able to help you and thanks so much for taking the time to comment ❤️
Both women are beautiful! But I'm going to have to go with bouncy Brenda. And like the others said this was such a fun and very creative video Summer. Really enjoyed it And as alway say hi to Brutus 🙂
Same! I've slept in them before 😂. I wish they made hot roller Velcro Rollers. Trying to find a brand that I can get to wrap my hair around easier. I have the hardest time!
Love this informative presentation! Now I know how to style my Bob! I like the Bouncy Brenda best but I have thick hair so I have to fix mine like Silky Sue.
Every video gets better!! Excellent content and creativity. Is there anywhere you can get sample or travel sizes of Moroccan Oil products. They are pretty expensive and I prefer to get small size to try products first.
Awesome video Summer. You really go the extra mile with your posts. I'm a sucker for smooth hair so Silky Sue is getting my vote. Thank you so much for taking the time and attention when creating your videos ❤
How are they the same heads of hair!!!!!! Between you and @Glam Girl Gabi , y’all got me wanting a bob!! 😍😍GREAT video!! It was worth almost breaking your computer for! 😉😉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
First, love all your videos and how much time and effort must go into them. Both looks are really good, but actually, I think Summer Beauty, the commentator, might be my favorite. I sometimes try to do something similar to the Bouncy routine (I even over direct with the Voloom and let it cool flipped over the opposite side of my head,) and then go in and add waves or curls. I usually don't go for the sleek looks since even with all these products and techniques, my hair tends to go flat anyway. It's also very hard to do a lot of blowout techniques because my hair sticks together like cotton candy with gum in it when it's wet, despite being cut bob length, even with olaplex, k18, etc...
I'm so glad you enjoyed! These types of vides I have so much fun making but they don't seem to perform as well. Always happy to know that it was enjoyable 😊
The round shape really is needed for the volume! I just ordered actually a smaller size oval shaped one to see how it performs! I believe it's 2 inches over the standard 3 inches.
This was so fun to watch! I love the versatility of your current cut. Now we need a video showing how the reporter Summer got her perfect wave/curl look!
WOW 🤩 it was so much fun to watch. That was a brilliant production and lots of hard work for you. I love both styles in a different way. Thank you so much for sharing the hair products and your talent ❤❤❤
Silky Sue for the win… added bonus points since I share her name lol. 😂 Seriously, this video was fabulous, fun…and as always, very informative. Love your creativity, Summer 🙌🥰

Love your tutorials, I’ve learned a lot! I have fine hair cut very similar to yours and love the products you suggest…however I have trouble finding travel size Volumizing moose in the Kenra or Moroccan oil…any suggestions? Or do you travel with different products/brands?
Moroccan Oil I know does offer travel size on their website, Amazon has them at times too. I am a psycho and pact my hair products and tools in their own small case while traveling 😂
I absolutely love ❤️ your tutorials and videos. I usually have an inverted bob and love silky hair style! ❤️ your hair color ( silky sue what color did she / you have there?)
Thanks! My base I use is a semi permanent from Redken Shades Eq, equal parts 7CB and 7NB. My highlights I typically just leave how they lighten because I like it so warm and gold. I am a natural red head/strawberry blonde so this formula blends in well with my natural without the regular upkeep of permanent color.
New to your channel and I absolutely love both. I wish I could have you do my hair. It is very very thin and fine and a layered shoulder length. I am considering a bob for more volume?
You are so creative! This was educational but also so fun and entertaining to watch! I’m a huge Brenda fan, but the Sue style is definitely easier for me to maintain.

It’s a tie! Are you a Leo on the cusp of Virgo? Clues: you are a born entertainer, you are creative and clearly driven to precision. And your name is Summer. I am a Leo on the cusp of Virgo and share these traits, except my name is not Summer. But…. I was in a pretend band called The Summer Months in the 4th grade. lol! Great video. I always learn the “why’s” behind the techniques!
Summer, great content. Just to clarify, mouse is not used for the roots? (maybe that's what I do wrong) I have Kenra Root lift, so I should apply that to roots then the mouse to my mid and ends? Then a heat protectant? (I need to see if I can find that Amika product, which I can't find in Amazon Canada, but the Pravana I can) I notice my ends always seems dried out but I own the Revlon blow dry brush and that is so hot I always feel that's why it looks so dried out and frizzy.
You can use mousse on the roots, but a root lifter gives more volume. I always pair root lifter and mousse together because my hair is so fine and stick straight. I need all the volume and more! The Pravana is a great sub for the Amika. It has heat and humidity protection and you can actually use it lightly on dry hair as well! It sounds like it would be a great option for your ends. You do not need a lot when using on dry hair, but I used the Pravana all the time on my dry ends, 1 or 2 days after my initial blow dry, when my hair was more damaged! Helped a lot. Just start with less if you try it on your dry hair. It is a very light product which is nice, but better to need to add more next time than too much at once the first time using! Let me know if you have anymore questions!
@@SummerBeautyc yeah, my hair is poker straight, really does not like to curl. Thank you so much for the great detail. I will always have questions, but I am still trying to find something that works for my hair and my budget. Thank you 😃❤
I love both looks. I’m curious about the Velcro rollers. When exactly should you put them in? Right after the brush dryer? Should I roll them in the Velcro rollers then heat them with the blow dryer? I don’t see how the heat is going to last that long in all my hair. Mine is baby fine. My hair looks like the straight look even when I put hours into the volume look. After about 10 minutes in the house it’s flat.
Can this still be successful for fine hair if it’s longer? I live in high humidity and miss my bob, but it was always going straight and flat. I’ve grown it out now for the days I just have to get it off my neck, but miss having volume.
Do you have any pics of the back of the haircut? I have a bob right now but it’s stacked and don’t like the way it looks so much higher in the back. What do I ask for to get this haircut. It looks like the back is more the same length and a little bit longer in front.
I'd like to know how I could make myself the blow out you wear as anchor womand in this video!! My hair is baby fine, thin, frizzy and naturally gray...

What size Velcro rollers do you use?
I have various sizes lol but I mostly use 2in and 2.5in sizes. Smaller ones on my top layers to create more bend through the ends.
Bouncy Brenda!! Eventually it ends up looking like silky Sue, so why rush it?
A Bouncy Brenda does last for days on end!
Can this still be successful for fine hair if it’s longer? I live in high humidity and miss my bob, but it was always going straight and flat. I’ve grown it out now for the days I just have to get it off my neck, but miss having volume.
Yes!
Bouncy Brenda ALWAYS!!!!! Please No flat hair 😊
My feelings exactly 😂
Do you have any pics of the back of the haircut? I have a bob right now but it’s stacked and don’t like the way it looks so much higher in the back. What do I ask for to get this haircut. It looks like the back is more the same length and a little bit longer in front.
Ha ha this is too funny!
Glad you enjoyed!
I'd like to know how I could make myself the blow out you wear as anchor womand in this video!! My hair is baby fine, thin, frizzy and naturally gray...
OMG, your editing process has to be FUN! This is so incredible, I want to learn about your process! We should do a collab where you shampoo my dreads! LOL Great meeting you at #vidsummit !
Haha I love that! It was so nice meeting you as well! The creation and edit are stressful but so fun! I laugh so much during the process 😄. I can't wait to watch your content as I feel it will be helpful to my easily distracted self!
That was the most entertaining and fun "how to" video I have ever watched!! What a great way to draw your audience in!! I currently have this cut! My vote goes to Bouncy Brenda today but both are beautiful!
I am so happy to hear you enjoy it so much! I love trying to keep things fun and different while still being able to help someone get better with their hair!
