The thing I like the most is that, because of their personalities, it's not surprising that these two got into such a big fight. TSC is known to be the defacto leader and reliable, but is not infallible. He can get cocky and make mistakes, and is also extremely stubborn and uncompromising. 'It's my way or the high way' kind of deal. On the other hand, Red is known to be a bit more naive. In the hierarchy, he'd probably be the 'youngest'. He's caring and empathetic, but is very emotional. We see that with his specialty in Minecraft; his animals that he cares about very much, and his priority in the argument, which was that everyone would've been sad and bored. While this is good and balances the group dynamic, it also makes him the most vulnerable. He gets tricked by Purple because he listens more to his emotions than cold rationality. The two of them stand on completely opposite sides of the spectrum, with TSC guided by logic and Red guided by emotions, and that's why they fight so hard; they can't see eye to eye at all. If it was any of the other colours, it wouldn't be this bad. Green has a lot in common with TSC, so while he might raise his voice and they might fight, it wouldn't be THAT bad. Just punch once to vent and that's it. Not an all-out brawl where they're genuinely trying to kill each other. Blue and Yellow wouldn't try to argue, and would likely just try to calm TSC down to focus on surviving instead of the past. The reason TSC and Red go ham at each other is because TSC's stubborn and Red is emotional, it wouldn't work with any other pair.
I would say Blue would be the most caring and is like the mom of the group If Red wanted money, he'd give it and say "don't spend it on anything you don't like.... And cigarettes." Red is a bit more stubborn and naive with him following Purple but also having a small caring side but exclusively towards animals, his stubbornness guides his fighting which is why out of all of them we was the best fighter. Yellow is calculated but also might have ADHD because once he sees something interesting he goes to that. Either that or a short attention span. Green is the most like Orange like is also cocky but he's also the one that can that can read people like a book and that's why he was there for Purple Ep. 29, he gets angry when theres not a clear answer to a problem and is cocky cuz he's the best builder. TSC is exactly how u described him, the wild card who's also cocky and stubborn he's the main character for Becker sake!
Imagine playing minecraft and spotting 2 stickfigures who have no relation with the game, they jump out and mail themselves to an unknown person. Nobody's gonna believe you at school, Alex.
Not sure why so many slept on this episode; it's an amazing display of Red and Orange's personalities; these really are the two of the group who'd start an all-out fist fight over an argument. It's phenomenally drawn.
@stormcone The one with TCO and TDL? cause in those we found out SPOILER AHEAD That TSC has powers, but he needs the right conditions to bring them out
I LOVE orange and red’s fight not just because the animation was fire but that they both had a reason to be angry at each other and blame each other. They’re both hungry, lost, in the desert, & both of their actions caused them to be there in the first place. Fights like these are my favorites because you don’t know who to root for. Fights that really make you question who’s right? Or who’s wrong? But I love it even more because there’s no victor. They end up not saying anything at the end & just sit there admiring the view.
It was honestly haunting to see two of the stick figures fight for real, with no friendliness behind it, ignoring the beauty around them. I feel like Alan would have made a really interesting point on the nature of rage, friendship, and desperation if I had not been in the process of being blown away by the animation.
i've mentioned before i like seeing the crew get into petty physical fights, bonk one of each other on the head, shove another because that reminds me of my siblings and thats what siblings do. but this is a lot more than just that
I still can't believe that, with *no* dialogue, we got to see a fully realized argument with points on both sides morph into a knock-down, drag-out, no-holds-barred *FIGHT-fight* between…*checks notes* two stick figures. Visual storytelling at its finest!
Fun fact: They doesn't get damaged in fist fight or fall damage but they can only take damage by weapons, hunger, drowning and burning and also they break the law of minecraft.
Orange has clearly been shaken but all the past events, death, suffering, and horrors they had to witness, and Red is notorious for not really thinking before acting, and rushing into action. Obviously putting them together alone in a very unfortunate situation would result in a bit of a fight, where while both have reasonable arguments, that ultimately doesn't matter, as they end up duking it out. Duking it out so well, in fact, that the poor mobs must have been pretty confused, and a bit scared. Kinda funny, not gonna lie. Poor Alex though, that must have been pretty freaky to witness- But, as always, the characters figured out a natural and creative way of traversing between computers. Wow!
@@The_One_K But they have the advantage of being really creative, quick-thinking, and intelligent individuals. Yellow always tries to be pragmatic, rational, and Blue is frequently something of a mediator. Orange and Red have more reasons to butt heads and cause mayhem.
@@imthecoolestguyalive well TSC and Red can cause mayhem, they're more responsible with it, ish tho the fortunate part is they don't frequently cause disasters like Yellow and Blue Like The potion pig incident Roller-coaster straight to hell by Yellow The command break The nether fiasco with Blue wanting to explore and Yellow even further The texture confusion The lucky block which was very close to the next tco and tdl crusade of destruction And Season by Blue inability to farm responsibly Tsc and red still sometimes cause mayhem but on steroids compared to wat Blue and Yellow did such as When the solid heads temporarily died and alan almost canceled Minecraft which could've result in another Blue screen of death RUclips, nothing much to say they are both big brother with almost a rock for a brain sometimes Nintendo tho resolved pretty quickly and no lawsuits His crane flew away that destroyed explorer Mob spawner, probably require alan assistance for this Ricochet, almost no harm but STILL almost casualties Don't forget in the final minecraft battle Yellow screwed up the most
This episode shows TCS and red's friendship perfectly. In the begining of animation va animator/Minecraft red was shown as the first villain (possesed but you'll understand the context), and TCS saw this as one of His friends betraying him and the others. Red the grew to get along with the others as the odd one out. TCS is the protagonist and had to awaken His power, blue Is the alchemist, green Is the musician, and yellow Is the redstone expert, eventually red grew to be the animal caretaker of the group. The there Is purple, at first, the only ones who had met him were green and blue, yellow, TCS and red didn't understand the danger he could put them in until now, TCS saw him as a villain in episode 21 but everyone else thought that he could be reedemed, and red was the first one to show this and fearlessly aproached purple. Finally this episode shows that despite the fact that TCS and red have grown a friendship bond, that doesn't change the fact that they still have some beff for eachother, and they show this with no dialogue or facial expressions. Great job Alan, I'll wait happilly for the next part.
I love how Red just plucks Alex's arrows out of the air so casually. It really showcases just how much better at fighting the stick figures are than the Minecraft avatar human players are given.
But i feel pity to alexcrafter cuz his face look innocent and then he shoot the arrow and red captured it so easy like its nothing and orang and red laugh AT him that’s not a good attitude actually
I've a theory: The stick figures only take Minecraft damage when they are actively using Minecraft items. Since TSC and Red are not using Minecraft weapons, they do not take Minecraft damage. They may feel the effects, but won't actually lose hearts. The same could apply for drowning damage, falling damage, and starvation damage. It's definitely not a watertight theory, and most irregularities are probably plot armor/rule of cool/stick-figures-bend-the-rules-of-their-world/etc., but interesting to think about.
Sorry, but your theory might be incorrect, because in ep 7, there is a scene where blue and red were able to hurt Orange by kicking him while being invisible. Also, in ep 12, the 4 stick figures, (except orange) looked underwater to see the wildlife, but after a while, they lost all their bubbles and started to drown. The only way they were able to go underwater for a long time is to use the turtle helmet. So maybe there are times when physics don't matter and times that do. However, I do defend the fact that they don't produce fall damage lol. Edit It was actually episode 13 oops
@@ryraisin3280 Those are excellent points! I definitely forgot about the drowning damage in ep 12. Some mental gymnastics: maybe in ep 7, since they were using invisibility potions ("actively using Minecraft items"), they were able to damage Orange? And in ep 12, they were "actively interacting" with a Minecraft environment? Regardless, I do agree that there are times when mechanics don't matter and times that they do. It probably has more to do with what the episode requires from them than anything else, haha. I'll join you in defending the fact that they don't produce fall damage! :D Come to think of it, they never get hurt by falling (poor Red in AvAG).
The weirdest part isn't the hunger logic, it isn't seeing stickman in Minecraft, The weirdest part is how that person wasn't playing in full screen mode
1:47 I love the detail when TSC throws a husk, another husk pauses and thinks of it's life choices, it was like "uh, should we be really fighting these players? They seem very strong"
@@ZaiDrizzleDrop Surface level: I've seen/death with this so much it's second nature. Deep level: It's a quote from Asland, The Great Lion from the Chronicles of Narnia book series. He's Jesus, and the deep magic is creation/the laws of existence.
I want someone to transcribe their argument. Actually imma do it myself. Red: Ugh, I'm starving.... TSC: Same, but we gotta keep going. Red: * about to cry * TSC: Do I have to care for you like a baby?! Red: WE'RE ABOUT TO DIE! TSC: And because of WHO, huh? You're the one who convinced us to go into another of these damned portals when we could've gone back to our home and just chilled! Red: At least we got to have fun this way, what would we do at home? Die of boredom? TSC: Doesn't change the fact we're 'boutta DIE from that choice, and we don't even KNOW what happened to the others! Red: Remind me whose idea it was to combine three beacons? Oh right, YOURS.
It's amazing how two stick figures fighting each other because of hunger, desperation, and despair has more emotional resonance than the majority of blockbuster films these days. I have grown to genuinely care about these little guys. It broke my heart watching these two brothers beat each other up, the whole time I'm like, "No stop, please don't do this to each other." Alan, you are an excellent storyteller. Your animations are phenomenal and so detailed, but they wouldn't be as powerful without your talent to connect us to our favorite little stick figures.
The stick figures are gods, literally they can pass throught computers, they mail themselves to his own computer, they can distorsionate minecraft and they can broke the pc from inside
This was the first AVM short that actually made me cry. Just watching these two, who have been friends for so long, argue and fight, I just couldn't handle it and cried at stick people in minecraft.
I like how in the whole fight, they never take damage once. It means that they are doing the same "play fighting" that they always do. They might be angry and frustrated with each other, and fighting to try and settle the argument, but they don't actually want to hurt each other. It's a nice touch.
The part that stood out to me is that they didn't try to drown each other when they fell in the water. Instead they just kept punching. I think they subconsciously knew the whole time that they just wanted to vent their anger, not cause lasting harm.
to be honest i hated how robotic the cursor moves were. Idk how they messed that up, the cursor moves were really realistic before but now they look like a 12 yo tried to animate them.
I don't know why, but it made me ache seeing Red try and run away from TSC. He was over the fight, or relized he wouldn't win, and tried to run away. But TSC was relentless.
Red is better in combat, but pure strength goes to TSC. Red's fights are like an assassin, quick, fast, fall back when it's unclear. Meanwhile TSC is just brute force, adrenaline and mad.
They had many opportunities to use the swords in their inventory or the arrows from the skeletons, I think they are fighting fist to fist to release their anger to show Who's more dominant
There were two main reasons that he ran away. Being done with the fight was not one of them since he was still going at it while running. He ran because he is actually faster and more agile than TSC, shown by the drip leaves where Red outruns and kind of blitzes TSC although TSC is stronger. But mainly I think it was the Husk's Red spent a lot of energy throwing them off since he not only needs strength to do it and TSC throws ANOTHER one into the mess. But because they inflict the hunger effect. They are STARVING and that was the energy drain that forced him out of the combat.
I love how red was so scared of Alex’s cursor, he has prior experience with cursors. While SC just slaps it. It’s little details like that is what improves the video.
@@Уруру-у6юsc befriended alan soooooo probably not. SC is smarter and knew alex probably didn’t have as much experience as alan when it came to animate stick drawings wrecking his computer lmao.

Red: WELL ACTUALLY YOU’RE THE ONE WHO DID THE BEACON THINGY AND TELEPORTED US TO THE DESERT SO IT’S YOUR FAULT!! Best part of the vid, I think
I thought that the fact that red could hold his own against tsc in a fight when he used to demolish the others all at once was weird, but then i realized that red is the most emotional, the "youngest" of the group. he's used to using anger to win fights and can't fight as well when he's not mad at his opponent. and tsc is the leader, he is the most logical and smart out of them all. (except yellow, but he can still act silly, he's just got technical know-how.) tsc can't fight as well when he is clouded by emotions, they are a hinderance to him, and a help to red. thst's what balances them out. this concludes my ted talk.
I love when they email themselves to Alan, that’s so freaking creative. And the transition when they phased out of the game was seamless Impeccable job!!!
gotta appreciate how perfectly they did it, too. They both knew exactly what the plan was without a word, red hit the windows button while orange was in place for the email, then red added an attachment while orange typed the address, and the way orange hit the send button on their way out. You can tell they know each other well.
As someone who takes Martial Arts, this really amazes me, with how strong and fluid the movements are. And I can also confirm this is actually how professionals fight. Honestly I'm starting to think Alan takes Martial Arts.

Alan I’m going to be honest these videos honestly always surpass my expectations every single time the intricate fight scenes using the mechanics of the games in the most creative way possible, the time and effort that goes into writing these beautiful meaningful stories without a single word being said along with the lovable characters that you’ve made along with their relationships to one another. This episode really blew me away because it has all of what I said, the intricate fight scenes, the creativity, the beautiful scenery, and the relationships between these stick figures because this is one of the few times we actually see the sticks have conflict with one another to the point where they fight eachother willingly! THEY HAVE AN ARGUMENT WITH NO WORDS BEING SPOKEN! I could go on for about an hour and a half talking about all the things that make this series so damn wonderful but my fingers are getting tired and I don’t want to drag this on too long. So I just want to say Alan Becker you and your team have made something truly great and spectacular to me this is one of the greatest animated series to be made on RUclips I wish you and your team the best of luck with all your careers and hope to see more of these in the future!
I find it funny how Orange gets so pissed, he back-hands a Creeper, instantly killing it, and crushes a zombie's skull. Never mess with Orange when he is mad. Edit: To be fair he does have superpowers, but even still, he is just brutal.
i can’t imagine how terrifying second must have been in red’s eyes once he was fully agitated, i wonder what could’ve happened if they hadn’t stopped at the right time
I don't think they were trying to kill each other, but they were trying to settle a disagreement. That's probably why they used their fists and didn't take out their swords. Glad they learned something from the pvp episode.
Red: Orange....I'm running out of hunger....I don't know if I can continue anymore... TSC: *sighs* Your acting like such a baby! 'Oh I'm Red! and I'm hungry and cold waaaaaah!' Red: Oh yeah, great idea wise jerk but your forgetting something! we were actually having fun at parkour before! and if we did things your way, how long would that comfort last until we get bored with nothing to do?! we are not mindless programs Orange! TSC: And look how that turned out! look how your longing for adventure got us where we are! and we don't even know if our friends are still alive or not! Red: *growls and slapped pictures away.* You want to play the blame game Orange? fine! what about when you wanted to use those stupid beacons huh?! do you think that maybe....just maybe it was your stupid idea that brought us in this desert?! TSC: *He makes a scream of anger as he punched Red.* I've grown tired of this nonsense! Red: *Red falls onto the sand, and slowly got up, turned around and glared at Orange.* So.....that's how it's going to be Orange? TSC: *Orange glares back at Red* Yes Red, we are doing this right now. Red: Bring it on then circle face! *Orange and Red then started their epic brawl.* *In the midst of their fight* TSC: Die Red! TSC: Red I am so sick of you! *attempts to punch Red but they fall down the sand hole* *They scream all the way down, and then started cursing eachother as they fall down the hole and down onto the minecart and into the water.* *Struggling for air, they fought and chased eachother through the water, until they found air. And TSC started drowning him.* TSC: Drown! just die already! Red: *Hits him with his elbow and runs away.* TSC: Get over here! *TSC chases Red up the vines.* Red: Stay away from me! Red: *Looks at TSC then looks around.* We are....not in the desert anymore? TSC: *lets go of Red and makes a sigh.* It would seem so... Red: *Looks away from TSC and sits up.* TSC: *Calms down and thought about what Red said before and sighs. He scoots closer to Red* TSC: Red... Red: Yeah Second? Red: *Red was reluctant at first before he took the fruit and he eats it. Before he says.* I already forgiven you, Second.
Tbh that was a little confusing to understand at first, I had to rewind to get it. The arrows with the stickfigs were basically them saying "no this was your fault".

It seems that Red is one of the most skilled in melee, but if we talk about physical strength TSC is the strongest (He killed a creeper in one hit with only two hunger bars) apart from TSC being the best adapts to his opponent's combat style, because as the combat progressed, TSC was gaining advantage and would surely have defeated Red in that blow before the scenario in which they were stopped them
the most favourite part that I don't see enough about, is the fact that BOTH OF THEM have swords, yet never use them, shows how much they care for each other even when angry

1:10 For real though, don't mess with Orange and Red when they're mad, Orange HUNTS RED DOWN throughout that desert, as they both effortlessly decimate any mob willing to get in the way of the fight. Even underwater and in a minecart, EVEN ORANGE doesn't think about the dangers that could happen. They fight non-stop to the death all because of an argument (a good one in my opinion). I absolutely love these characters, even though this is the only series I've watched out of many. And this is as far as I've got so far. Amazing work, Alan.
Imagine being AlexCrafter28 you're casually mining in a cave and out of nowhere two stick figures appear they proceed to jump into your computer, and send an email to a (at least to them) random address with them inside it
I know I'm late but I really just have to get this out there, this is defently one of my favourite episodes, while I wait for new episodes (which one is coming out today at my time) I always come back to this one and watch it. I'm a sucker for good charecter development, this fight really needed to happen between the both of them. And most people in the comments keep agreeing that it was more of SC's fault, I really don't think it was. And either way even if it was or wasn't more of his fault or Red's fault that wasn't the point of this episode, the point of this episode was for both of them to let out their anger and frustration for everything that went wrong and learn that it doesn't matter who's fault it was, it matter for how they'll get through it. Both of them had good reasons to be mad at each-other, Sc was mad for Red's recklessness and not thinking before going into unfamiliar places and pulling everyone along with them but he had to realize that Red is a really free-spirited person who just wanted to have fun and adventure a bit more since he thought they haven't done anything crazy and fun for a while outside they're normal place and thought everyone should join with him. And Red was mad at SC because he kept drowning that free-spirited nature he had and thought he wanted them to get bored to death because his "intuition" was telling him it was dangerous but he had to realize that SC was really traumatized from all of this and really couldn't handle it anymore but everyone kept insisting that they should have fun when all he wanted was to just be safe. I mean before all of this with purple we see when they went through most of the portals he was always the one on guard never taking a break especially in that episode where blue or green I don't remember who went to get some beetroot in the nether and they went after him and the others were just walking normaly and being calm while SC was freaking out and had his sword out.
@@pathlessflame946 idk, do they even know the purpose Purple has? Only Green knows as for now, but its possible they are thinking he/she might be up to something
@@luiselaspirantealacomedia3154 I think they'll still be mad at Purple because he's the one who got them in this situation in the first place. Everyone's separated because of him.
1:08 What the characters say : Orange : am I dreaming or are you behaving like a baby ? Red : we're going to starve here ! Orange: it's because of you that we're in this difficult situation, we should have stayed there instead of going through the portal ! Red : I prefer to go for the parcour than to be bored with nothing to do ! Orange : because of you, we're stuck here and we don't know where the other 3 are ... Red : I remind you that it was your idea to have merged the 3 beacons !
that fight between red and orange was just amazing in so many levels. animation, emotion and the story behind it. i'm blown away by how these stick figures can make me feel! i'm so glad i decided to finally catch up to this beloved series again. it was just such a huge conflict between friendships because of the stress they were under and the lack of the others' presence (they would de-escalate it or the fight never wouldve happened) it made me feel some type of way
Imagine if you were going through a desert for days, after losing 3 of your best friends. They both are hungry, but complaining wont get them anywhere (well it did...) and love wont get them anywhere either. Their best bet was just trying to go forward and eat rotten flesh in the worst case scenario. But i agree that arguing/fighting isnt the best option
Rewatching this I notice how Red for 80% of the fight was running from TSC. Makes me imagine he never wanted to fight especially from how aggressive TSC was from the start of the entire situation.

It was honestly haunting to see two of the stick figures fight for real, with no friendliness behind it, ignoring the beauty around them. I feel like Alan would have made a really interesting point on the nature of rage, friendship, and desperation if I had not been in the process of being blown away by the animation.

Wow!

But hey, that's just a theory
*A Stick Theory! Thanks for watching*
Edit
It was actually episode 13 oops

For real though, don't mess with Orange and Red when they're mad, Orange HUNTS RED DOWN throughout that desert, as they both effortlessly decimate any mob willing to get in the way of the fight.

@@tristanariaji7378 phew thank fuck im not alone.

1:08 What the characters say :
Orange : am I dreaming or are you behaving like a baby ?
