'Into Clouds', the debut solo album from Luttrell, is out now on Anjunadeep. The LP sees the San Franciscan producer embark on his extensive 'Into Clouds' Headline Tour of North America.
Initially breaking into electronic music as part of the OWSLA-affiliated trio The M Machine, Luttrell quickly won support from some of the scene’s key tastemakers, including BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Pete Tong, and DJs like Joris Voorn and Claude VonStroke.
Inspired by the empowerment and vulnerability experienced in starting anew and going solo, ‘Into Clouds’ is an exploration of beauty and catharsis. Luttrell explains that the deeply-personal 10-track LP is about “doing your best to recognise and appreciate the beauty - both in the good times and the bad.”
Drawing from varied childhood influences like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and The Prodigy, his love for San Francisco, and his time as a student in Berlin, ‘Into Clouds’ explores Luttrell’s broad stylistic range. The subtle melodies at the heart of opening and closing tracks ‘After All’ and ‘Outro’ demonstrate Luttrell’s knack for emotive production, whilst infectious club tracks ‘Into Clouds’ and ‘Windowscene’ showcase his commanding dancefloor sound.
Speaking of the album, Luttrell explains:
“I think each song has a message, a vibe or a feeling that each and every one of us can relate to on some level. Some moments are flying high above it all, some are dreamy or whimsical, and some moments are more pensive, delicate or even vulnerable. I want listeners to make this album their own and attribute their personal experiences and feelings to the music.”

ive been around since day one in the late 80s and early 90s, hung out with MOBY when he would come and spin in DC, been good friends with Scott henry since buzzlife years..i have seen AFX TWIN in a small club of less than 100....i have seen the movement come, get used and abused, become commercialized and spit out..its been decades since ive heard anything "new" that wasnt a direct steal fromn the innovators. but i will say.. Luttrell has got it!...his shit is real..mad respect!
