Yes he was 17 she was 29 and everything but she wasn't his teacher says the fact that he was one of the students that was the only wrong thing 17 is not considered a minor so she's really not a predator the only thing is since he's in high school the mother is claiming she's a predator that's the only possible thing. @@gailwebb9619 As far as I understand, 17 is the age of consent where they live, as it is in the state I live in, but yes he should've faced consequences for recording without her knowledge or consent and/or for underage drinking. It's 21 across the board now for alcohol, so he's not some innocent victim.

I had a similar encounter with a public school teacher. It’s hard for me to identify with any true victim I’ve ever been exposed to. There’s a lot of pain and trauma with them. I’m sort of nostalgic about it.

I teach a children's judo class. A few weeks ago, a 15 year old girl asked me for my snapchat. I said "I don't have one" and nothing got weird afterwards. It really is just that easy. I don't get when people say "oh I gave him my number to be nice to my student". No one is going to dislike you for acting appropriate.

Why is there a bias towards these situations? The same rules and laws apply for men and women and should be legally enforced the same way. If a male teacher should be in jail for sleeping with an underage female student, the same should apply to a female teacher who sleeps with an underage male student. Simple as that.
And imagine the entitlement and audacity of this predator, who would accuse her victim of setting her up.
@@kokopium1530 Doesn't matter. As an adult, she should not have had any contact with him, especially as he wasn't her student. Regardless of what the young man's intentions were, he was only 17. She was highly unprofessional for having any contact with him at all. And as she stated, she disillusioned herself by saying she felt like she wasn't talking to a child. No matter how this gets flipped, the responsibility lies solely on her shoulders.

I don't know. A few days ago, it was enabled, then disabled again, then re-enabled. I guess they try to control comments from people who are outraged towards particular guests and minimize the backlash on them.
It's up to debate if they should; some of the guests are really shameless and criminally outrageous (for example, the guest in this video) in my opinion, and deserve all the shaming they receive and more.
But I understand the show's perspective, as they are in a way responsible for exposing them to the public, and want to minimize the chance some extremist takes this a step further than the comment section. Which, let's be real, is highly unlikely to happen from a total stranger, but still possible, thus it's wise of them to approach this with caution.
