Oh what I give to have that doll .. I love them and I am 76 .. She is adorable and not at all scary.. You've done an amazing job of sewing with your sore arm..happy that its on the mend..
Thank you so much Cindy that is such a kind compliment and I do hope they like her as much as you do! Every day the elbow gets a little better after the surgery, too soon to tell if it has worked though! Have a good week 🧵😊
Thank you so much Gloria, of course I will let her decide in her own time what to call the little doll. I was just trying to think of 'who' she looked like! Thanks for watching 🧵😊
Hope you're healing nicely, Carole. I love all your adorable makes. The doll is cute, not scary at all. Wishing you a speedy recovery!! Take care and have a good rest of the weekend 😊
Thank you so much Terri, the elbow seems to improve every day so thank you so much for your kindness. Another vote of confidence for the doll, brilliant! Have a good week 🧵😊
Hi Sandra, I tried not to do much this weekend don' worry. Now Chris is back the strain has been taken off me a bit. Thanks so much for being kind about the doll! 🧵😊
Hi Carole. I love the Baby Carole cat walk to show off her outfits. She is really cute (not scary that I can see). I'm so glad you are taking good care of your arm/elbow. Wishing you good happy healing, Antonia
Thank you so much and I am glad you enjoyed the fashion show, it did take me ages to film 😂 I will be pleased to get the bandage off Tuesday believe me and it is getting better every day. Thanks for your care 🧵😊
I won't overdo it don't worry, my arm doesn't let me actually!! It seems to be built with an alarm system the minute I try and use it where I shouldn't 😂. 🧵😊
Wow my mother had the button hole scissors in the 60s. They didn’t have the screw and it was a guess to get the right size. I can still see her excitement when she got them alone with a pinking sheers. Great memories ❤
Oh wow, buttonhole scissors without the 'braking mechanism' must have been a challenge to use! How wonderful you have that memory though. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
That doll is adorable!!!! You got some really fun gifts. Your fans love you!!! Your walk is still beautiful even without tons of color. Everything is dead and brown here. That heather is stunning!!’😮 glad your arm is mending but do be careful with it. Re-injuring it would be a nightmare! I’m off to watch Nancy with her FWOF! Love you❤❤❤❤
Hi Trish! Thank you so much for your kind words on my doll, what on earth is wrong with Katie 😂. I so enjoyed making the clothes as well, all those teeny tiny seams. I really want to make more now! I imagine there isn't a lot of colour in Florida right now except your grass always looks so think and lush, does that ever go brown? I am being very careful with my arm and now Chris is back I will admit I am milking it a little with household chores 🤭. Serves him right for leaving me!! Hope to SEE you soon my lovely friend xxxx
The doll is adorable. Love the wardrobe fashion show too. When my first two kids were little the grandma next door taught me how to make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. She said to embroider a heart where your heart is, and on the back embroider the date and their name. I still have the dolls and my granddaughters play with them. I am sure they upgraded your husband to first class based on the cool shirt you made him. I'm looking forward to the next Wheel of fate project. Take care of yourself and enjoy your two days of summer. We are having a lot of days of hot summer here in Tennessee this year. I am working of making a pattern I can use for a woven blouse. Trying to get the fit correct. Wish me luck, I'm really a knit kind of girl.
Thanks Carol, I am glad you liked the dolls fashion show 😂 Honestly, that took me so long to do. Thanks so much for telling me about the Raggedy Ann dolls and the hearts, that is such a wonderful idea. How special that your granddaughters play with the dolls. It was a lovely Summer's day today and I did make the most of it, back to wind and rain tomorrow! Oh I wish I had some of your heat. Good luck with the woven blouse, like you I tend to lean towards the knit fabrics as they are easier to fit. Happy Sewing! 🧵😊
Hi Carole. You’ve done so much! You never slow down. I am happy you are recovering so well. I am not a doll fan… wasn’t even as a child. But, I think your handmade little one is just beautiful… I love that she has another outfit. She is so sweet and not scary at all. I think your husband got upgraded because he was wearing the nicest shirt on the entire flight!!!! It does fit great. It’s always great to see you! ❤ Diann
Hi Diann, thanks so much for stopping by 🥰. My daughter was also not a doll fan so maybe that was the issue, I however just adored dolls! I would so love to make more outfits for her as it was such fun but I know at this age she won't have any concept of fashion 🤣. I presented my hubby with another T shirt yesterday and he's wearing it today, we haven't had any special treatment so far yet though from anyone! Thanks so much for always being there with your kind words. (I have sent you a message on Instagram) Have a great weekend xx
My sister gave me a wall hanging with the Winnie-the-Pooh quote, "Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." So, yeah, you have a lot of company wondering if you can do something! The bouquet card is great! I don't think the doll is scary at all - I think she is adorable! I think of that seam line as her chin. My father used to buy plain shirts and then put little appliques on the pocket, or where an emblem would be - my favorite was a smiling bumble bee he put on a bright gold t-shirt (he made his own neckties, too - he was a guy who actually enjoyed fabric shopping 😄). Those scissors are nifty - I didn't know there was such a thing. Hope you enjoyed your two days of summer - for someone who can't do too much, you did a lot this week!
I know that saying! I am pretty sure my daughter put that picture up in one of the boys bedrooms when they were babies! I think I need it more than them 😂 Thank you so much for your kind words on the doll. Sewing the curve on that face was one of the hardest things and I didn't realise it would be so important that it was perfect, I will know for next time. Thank you so much for sharing the story about your Father, he sounded like a very 'dapper' gentleman. Enjoy your week 🧵😊
When I was growing up. I had a Raggedy Ann doll. There was also a raggedy Andy. It had zippers, buttons, and ties so you can learn how to do those things. I would love to have another one like that.
Wow! Industrious as ever. The doll is a winner. Thanks for sharing your lovely makes Carole and excited to see how you mastered your embroidery machine for those T-shirts. So glad to see that you are coping well and also wishing you a great weekend. It’s been sweltering over here 🙋🏼♀️ 😅
Thank you Amanda. My Hubby loves the design I have made him for the T shirts and it really has improved the otherwise very plain garments. My elbow continues to improve and no, I am never still, that is the Gemini in me I think 😂. Please send some warmth over here as its gone cold again! Have a great week 🧵😊
Your daughter is being ornery. I bet your granddaughter will love her rag doll. She will mostly undress her but it will be nice to have two outfits to take off. I’m glad you are doing so well after your surgery.
Oh I had to look that word up as I had never heard of it! I do hope you are right about the doll, I am giving it to her this weekend. She is still really young for it but I am hoping she will grow to adore it 🥰. Thanks so much for watching 🧵😊
That doll is absolutely precious, Carole; and, what a treasured keepsake for your sweet granddaughter! She did a fab job on the runway! 😉 What wonderful and thoughtful gifts from Deb, Nancy, and Mary! The sewing community is the BEST! Please take care of yourself, and don’t overdo! 😘💗
Thank you so much Andra, I really hope you are right and she keeps it forever. I had so much fun making her and would love to make more clothes! It took me so long to film her modelling shots 😂. You are absolutely right, the Sewing Community is the 'creme de la creme' 🥰. Have a good weekend xxx
Hi Carole, N6619 dress fits you perfect and that shade of blue looks great on you. 👗 STOP being SCARED!! ABSOLUTELY! It's only fabric. 🥰 The doll is adorable. I can't see how that is scary. Any girl would love it. You picked great colors for her outfit too. Give it to your granddaughter. She will carry it with her all the time, I'm sure of that. I love that striped tee. Beautiful. Armholes are always tricky but yours came out great. In all my years of sewing, I've never seen buttonhole scissors. I learn something new about sewing everyday!!! Wow! Glad to see you're doing better. Don't push it with your arm. Very sweet gifts from Nancy, Deb and Mary! So nice and cheerful. Hope you have a fabulous week! 💝💝💝
I am so glad everyone liked the doll as much as me and I hope you are right about little Chloe growing up to love it 🥰. Those buttonhole scissors are awesome and I only found out about them after re reading my school books! You can get them on Ebay and Etsy. These were a special purchase from a UK company, I treated myself! I have had to be a bit more cautious this week as the bandage is now off the elbow so it feels very exposed 🤣. Back to little sewing projects again. Hope you have a good week too 😘💗😘
What gorgoeus pressies!! Well deserved! Glad you’re on the mend! But mind yourself! I think that doll is adorable and I LOVED her catwalk 😂😂😂 the buttonhole scissors is just magic and can’t wait for more wheel of fate!! I need to check out that flipping out pattern too, that looks really cool!!!! Have a lovely week!! ❤ no need to reply 😉
Hi Rachael, oh I do hope you had some good weather this weekend. I am glad that people liked the doll as I am so excited to give it to my Granddaughter next week. I adored making those cute little clothes! That fashion show took forever to film as she kept spinning the wrong way 😂. Hope you have a great week 🧵😊x
Thank you so much Nancy, everyone seems to like the doll so I think I'm ok to give it to her! I really loved the presents and still blown away by your generosity 🧵😊x
Well I don’t like dolls usually, Carole but your rag doll isn’t scary at all. It’s soft and light too so is perfect for a little one. We, of a certain age, all know about Loopy Loo - maybe don’t sing the song though! 🤣🤣 Those buttonhole scissors are clever - nice neat end result. 👍
Oh the SONG!!! Why did you say that as I now have it going round and round in my head 😂😂. Thank you so much for the kind words about the doll, after all these comments I feel so much happier about giving it now as a present. Have a great week " here we go loopy loo.....here we go.........." xx
I LOVE the doll ❤, I think that your daughter is just jealous 😂. I bet if you put the doll sitting somewhere within reach that your granddaughter would head straight to it and never put it down. I quite like the name Molly for her, Molly the Dolly. When I was a little girl I had a Lubilou doll like in Andy Pandy which was similar but had really long legs. Nostalgia 🥰. So glad that you are on the mend xx
Yes Andy Pandy! That is probably where the name of my doll came from and mine had long legs as well, on either side of her triangular skirt. Funny the things you remember 😂. It is so odd you said Molly as Milly Molly Mandy was my favourite book as a young child. Thanks so much for your kind comments, I am doing ok 🧵😊
The doll is very cute Carole, not scary at all. I love your peg bag too. It’s about time I made myself a new one. I just might have to copy that. Take care , Pat
Thanks so much Pat, I have just shown my husband and he agrees it isn't scary as well! That peg back was such fun to make, little projects like that are so much fun. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
Oh thank you! I am so glad that is was well received by my Granddaughter and parents. It was so much fun to make and I can't wait to make more clothes 🤣xx
Summer's gone!! Back to hideous rain today so don't worry, you aren't missing out 🤣. This has to be the worst Summer ever! Thanks so much for your kind comments and hope you enjoy your weekend too 🧵😊
You seem to be recovering well. Sorry you have been on your own though. What a lot of things you have found to keep yourself sewing. I love your doll. I can't imagine a child not loving it. I'm anxious to see your wheel of fate results. Take care.
I am doing okay thank you, it has been a lonely week and normally my hubby being away doesn't bother me. I think its because I couldn't drive anywhere this time I felt more isolated. I did however as you say, keep myself busy! Thank you for your sweet comments on the doll, I hope everyone is right. Have a good weekend 🧵😊
You certainly are keeping yourself busy and in good spirits! Your peg bag is adorable. My friend & I made them for Christmas gifts over 30 years ago. We stenciled designs on them, it was fun so you brought back a happy memory. ❤. Your doll is adorable and I am sure your granddaughter will love it, well done. Don’t over due and rest so you’ll be ready to go. Have a restful and fun weekend!
Hi Kathleen, I did keep myself busy last week and forgot to mention I did two more jigsaws as well 😂. I am glad I brought back some happy memories of peg bag making for you, I love little projects like that. Hubby is now home so I can rest for a bit this weekend, washing up one handed has been a bit tiresome! Have a good weekend 🧵😊
That was so sweet of your friends across the pond to send you cool, well wishes gifts. That doll is not scary at all! I would love to make one of those for my granddaughter.🎉 I love the modeling!!!😅😅😅
I can see you making one of those dolls, your newest Granddaughter would love one! They are far easier than I thought they would be. Glad you liked the puppet show! 🧵😊
Lovely gifts 😊 you are so special. We all love your channel and wish you a speedy recovery but a safe one. Please take care of yourself, replies back to us can wait, we understand. By the way, the doll is cute with that happy smile.
Thank you so much for all your kind words, don't worry I am behaving with my arm I promise. I am so glad you liked the doll and that I got her smile right, that was the thing I was most nervous of doing! Have a good weekend 🧵😊
I think your doll looks really cute and I’m sure she will love it. Glad your arm is getting better. I’m in plaster. Managed to break my wrist while on holiday in Devon last week. So understand how you feel. And not being able to drive! We will appreciate it more when we can. Take care. X
Oh no!! I am so sorry to hear about your broken arm, how on earth did you manage that? I've had my wrists in plaster before and you are experiencing far worse than me I know! The last time was about 10 years ago when I was running with my dog and tripped over him. Hope you aren't in plaster for long and aren't in any pain. Thanks so much for watching and being kind about the doll 🧵😊
@@socarole66 no Carole I actually broken my wrist same as you by the sounds of it. Also whilst walking my dogs. But it wasn’t their fault. Grass had covered an area where a tractor or something had gone over and I just went! X
@Amberlillyshandmade oh ouch! I know how that feels. I hope you aren't plastered down your thumb like I was, life was very difficult! Such a shame on your holiday, fingers crossed it mends quickly for you. Xx
@@socarole66 no my thumb is free but it’s my good side, that must’ve been so difficult for you! 🥴 was a busy few days as we had to go back to Bristol and back down following day. But hey ho that’s life. 🤷🏻♀️ X
Hi there, sew pleased your on the mend and able to use your arm a bit more. The doll is cute and friendly looking I'm sure your granddaughter will have many a cuddle with her, also a reason to use up the small pieces left from your sewing to make more clothes for her wardrobe, and maybe model again for us on the runway 😂. The girls that sent you gifts just show you how popular you are, and how sharing the sewing community is 🎉 I used to make my husband t shirts and tank tops in the day even a pair of bell bottom trousers in the wet look fabric, can't think of the exact word 😢 I loved that he wore them, oh those 70s fashions 😂. Your peg bag is a good idea, can I suggest a wee button on the door to look like a door nob 😅must go it's AM here 7/30 to be exact, need another cuppa (tea) regards Diana from NZ 🎉❤🎉❤
Hi Diana, thanks so much for all your lovely comments as ever. I am so glad you enjoyed the dolls fashion show! I do hope she likes the doll as like you said, I can use up lots of scraps making doll clothes for her. I so enjoyed making them, maybe too much I think! I am intrigued sat here trying to think of what 'wet look' fabric you made your husband trousers with, was it PVC?! Aah, you can't beat those 70's fashions 😂. You are right about the door knob or handle on that door as at the moment it just looks like a rectangle doesn't it, maybe a toggle or button. Well have a nice Saturday (it still feels so strange!) and yes definitely time for another cuppa. 🧵😊xx
Found the word ombre, the colour was darker at the bottom and then faded up it gave you the impression you had walked through water, was a heavy cotton fabric who knows what they called it in the day had to many roast dinners since then 😂😂 , also like you in the 70s my husband went away frequently for his job, weeks at a time, I always found Sundays the hardest lonely day, but I got through it, just have to get on with it don't we, take care of your arm and self ❤ Diana from NZ 🎉❤🎉
I think your doll turned out darling! Even better than the ones pictured on the pattern envelope! I am sure my young granddaughters would absolutely love that dolly!
Lovely to see you again. I think the doll is gorgeous and I'm sure she will love it. Glad to see you're keeping yourself busy and trying new things as well. Thank you for featuring the buttonhole scissors - I'm off to try and find some myself.
Thanks so much for watching and your comment. I am so happy people like the doll, that makes me so much happier giving it to her now. I can't believe those buttonhole scissors have been around for so many years and I hadn't seen them before! 🧵😊
As you said, your daughter never really liked dolls when she was younger. As for myself, I do not think the doll you made is scarey. It's like a rag doll; not a Barbie! Your grand-daughter will love and cherish it, if for no other reason, because you made it for her. Happy Sewing! Oh, by the way, those buttonhole scissors are very interesting! I have never seen anything like them before.
Thank you so much Deb for being so kind about the doll. So far no one has said a bad word about her so she must be ok! Katie was much more into stuffed animals although she did have some AWFUL Bratz dolls, I don't know if you ever saw those. They are still haunting me in our attic 😂. I can't believe I managed to get some of those scissors and all because I re read one of my school books where I learnt about them. You can pick them up on Ebay and Etsy. Hope all is well with you and you are staying cool, Trish tells me it is steamy hot over there! Love to all xxx
Hi Carole. Well while summer arrived down south, in Dumfries and Galloway this amounted to a cloudy 18/19 degrees with humidity up in the 90’s and a bit of wind and rain thrown in at times 😢. Yesterday (Saturday) was just a complete wash out. I love the little rag doll, she is not in the least bit scary. Also loving you peg bag with a “secret” door (it was meant to be there…right😂). I’ve nearly completed my first Lutterloh from the original mid 80’s system which I have. It’s a pretty straight forward woven t-shirt type top. I had to lower the bust darts (which is a usual adjustment I have to do), but am so pleased with the fit otherwise. It works, it actually works. Chris clearly managed to get an upgrade on his flight due to his lovely t-shirt which does not look in the least bit homemade. Anyway good to see your recovery is continuing and you have managed so much sewing. Don’t overdo it though. Take care.
Ann!! I am so pleased to hear you have made your first Lutterloh project and it was a win 👏🏼. I was so dreading you would write to me saying it was a disaster! You did the right thing by starting with something simple. Did you enjoy the drawing out part? Thank you so much for your comment on the doll, I feel so much better now giving her as a gift for her birthday. I loved making those little clothes so much, I do think though it is something I have wanted to make for so long that is why I jumped at the chance so early on for my Granddaughter. I know my Son will appreciate the work taking to make her though 🥰. Friday was STEAMY down here, Saturday was a complete disaster and like we woke up in a different country 😂. Today has been ok, sunny spells, dry and fairly warm but nothing too special. When is Summer coming?! Thanks so much for updating me on the Lutterloh and enjoy your week 🧵😊
@@socarole66 hi Carole. Usually my least favourite part of sewing new patterns is the cutting out of the paper pattern itself, However, I love creating the pattern on the Lutterloh system. I am going to try another fairly simple top soon as well. Weather in SW Scotland is still pretty rubbish, today (Monday) for instance it’s 15 degrees but humidity is 97%. What’s all that about. It is due to improve a bit though later this week. 🙄
@@annscott4031 don't worry we have 19c and 80% humidity and I just did a run that was horrible!! 🤣 I'm really glad you enjoy the drawing part of the Lutterloh as like you, I'm not a fan of tracing or anything like that normally. Have a good week x
The doll is beautiful and NOT scary at all!! And I loved the modeling 😂 I can’t wait to see how you created the monogram for Chris. Those buttonhole scissors are crazy!! I’m so excited about your Tinley shorts and cannot wait to hear how it goes for you. Enjoy your “summer” days! Xx 💞
Daughters eh?! What do they know 😂 Thanks so much for agreeing with me. Aren't those buttonhole scissors just genius and I can't believe they have been around for so many years. Tinley shorts are cut out ready to sew, I am going for the straight ones as I needed a 'serious' pair for an upcoming trip! Our last Summer day is nearly over but Katie and I did get down to the beach with the boys today 😂. Enjoy your weekend xx
Hi Carole, I'm so glad you are not trying to do too much. It is frustrating I know, but best to be careful. Love dolly, she's not scary at all!!!! Have a good week x
Thanks Annette for your opinion on the Doll, I am so glad I asked people rather than go with Katie's opinion. My arm sure lets me know if I have done too much don't worry, as long as I can still lift a mug of tea I am happy with that! Have a good weekend 🧵😊
Hi Carol. Many years ago I took a doll making course. The teacher was amazing. She suggested brushing a little bit of powder brush on her cheeks and hand embroidered a wee heart ❤️ on her bottom. Your doll is so adorable. Glad your arm con̈tines to improve. 😊 Cheryl 🇨🇦
Hi Cheryl, thanks for your tips on doll making. I have seen dolls with blush on their cheeks actually but I hadn't heard of embroidering the heart, that is a wonderful idea. Thank you 🧵😊
Hi Carole, I just love that little doll! She’s not scary at all, I don’t think that a one year old will think so either. It’s all in how it’s presented, I guess. Those buttonhole scissors are the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while! If I made buttonholes often, I would get a pair, but I try not to use buttons any more than I can help, lol. I despise making buttonholes. You did a great job on altering that T-shirt pattern, I watch her often for inspiration. Hang that placard up in your sewing room where you can easily see it, you have more skills than you think, so stop thinking such thoughts about yourself! You can do anything you set your mind to. Take care of your arm, and have a great weekend.😊
Thank you Sue, I don't think she is either but I got worried when Katie said about her being scary! I am not a fan of making buttonholes either, especially when there is no need for wear but I have to admit, now I have these scissors I want to make more of them. I couldn't believe just how good J Stern was and all the fitting issues she tackles plus other projects, I am definitely going to watch more of her channel. Hope you have a good weekend, hubby has just arrived home so the housework is on him now! 😂
Great video to start my day! Loved your makes - the doll is so cute! Not scary at all. Definitely made me want to add that to my list of stuff to sew. And I am so proud of you for your PDF pattern work. 😂 You may become a full convert yet. Haha. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for always being so inspiring! I'm getting into my sewing room today - I've missed it so much while we had it all tore up changing up the flooring. Blessings to you and your family! 🧵jacque
Hello Jacque!! Where have you been?! 😂 Thanks so much for all your kind words and so glad you think the doll is cute. I will never fully convert to PDFs as I have too many printed patterns! Glad to hear you are back in your sewing room, can't wait to see what you make up. Have a great weekend and lovely to hear from you xx
Hi Carole!! The doll is just beautiful! She isn’t scary, she resembles the animated characters of some of the cartoons here in America. Research Fancy Nancy she is just such a sweet character.
Thanks for your comment and I have just looked up Fancy Nancy, I had never heard of her before and can't believe she is a Disney production. She is very cute! 🧵😊
Carole , that doll is so adorable, not scary at all, I'm sure she will love it! I love your little beach house bag/peg bag, so beachy and fun! Thank you for the shout out 😍😍I'm so glad the little treats made it across the pond and that you enjoyed them!! What will you do with all that mickey fabric?! I did send you a link to where I got those tags, they do ship international, but maybe you can search similar for closer sellers? They put your logo on anything your want.... Please take it easy with that arm, and have a great weekend! 💓💓 💓
I am glad you also liked the doll Mary, what is Katie on about?! 😂. I gave one of the cup cosies to my daughter today (even after she moaned about the doll!) and she LOVED it, it may even appear on her Disney Instagram account. Thanks for the label link, what I really liked about your labels is the size. I have ordered some before but they either fray or are made with scratchy fabric! Hubby has now arrived home so all the housework is his responsibility now 😂. Have an amazing weekend my lovely friend 💗😘💗
Hi Carole! I'm so glad you're on the mend and that summer has shown up for a couple of days. I'm not a huge doll fan and I think the one you made is adorable. Not scary at all! And the puppeteering you did is fab. I'm wondering if adding some length to your t-shirt between your shoulder and your armpit would prevent the drag lines.
Hi Alecia, thanks so much for all your kind words, especially about the doll. The 'fashion show' for her was such fun to do but took ages, she was not very co-operative 😂. Re the T shirt, extending the length between the shoulder and arm pit is exactly what I did with this new striped one. It has almost eliminated it but needs a little more than the 1cm that I did this time. 🧵😊
Happy Friday Carole! Goodness, go outside! Enjoy your weather, soak up the sun. I think your rag roll is adorable. I have no idea why, but when I saw her, I thought 'Oh, she looks like a Maisy Mae,' (meaning that's the name I'd give her. The seam under her chin would bother me too. But you could always say it's a scar. I haven't made the Tinley shorts, but I have made the bike shorts and the skort. Everything went fine until the waistband. I'm sure it was something I did wrong (although it is straight forward). There was just too much fabric in the waist, not enough elastic somehow. Turned out all bunchy. I was disgusted and set it all aside. Maybe your shorts will give me the push to try them. Have a beautiful weekend with your family.
Happy Friday to you too! Don't worry I have been down at the beach today enjoying the warmth and bobbing around in the sea with the grandsons. That's Summer done for us now 😂. Thanks so much for the comment on the doll, Maisy Mae is an adorable name. I will take note of your Tinley results and keep my eye out for that. Wish me luck! Have a good weekend 🧵😊
Might your daughter be a bit jealous because you aren’t sewing for her? 😉. The doll is very sweet. The clothes are super cute. You can add to her wardrobe by making a few items for each birthdays, etc.
Hi Susan! I have good news to report, little Chloe loved the doll and yes, I loved making the clothes so much I want to make more. You may be right about my daughter as although she loves her boys, she did want a girl! I have made a lot for the boys though 🤣. Thanks for watching and your kind comments 🧵😊
Hello Carol, you made me laugh when you turned the doll into a puppet! You definitely have too much time on your hands... Concerning the dolls eyes. I learned many years ago that adding a white dot to black eyes brings them to life. The important part is the placement of the dot. You can probably find a video on the subject. Glad your arm is healing well. Suzanne
Suzanne you are so right, you have no idea how long that took me to do 😂. Thanks for the hint on the white dot of the eye, I may take another piece of felt and try that, funnily enough that is what I used to do when I crocheted eyes. 🧵😊
Thank you so much, I was attracted to the simple face to be honest as less facial 'pieces' to go wrong and put in an odd place! I really appreciate your comment 🧵😊
Your doll's name should be, Coral. She's wearing coral, and she models it in front of your coral geraniums. A plus is that it's close to your name, lol.
Oh Coral is such a lovely name and I actually went to school with a girl called Coral! Maybe I should hint that name to my Son hee hee. Thanks for your comment 🧵😊
Your doing very well Carole considering your arm is still not 💯 % you really do put me to shame. My daughter in law is really funny about dolls so of cause this had rubbed of on my granddaughters so they call dolls creepy, when my sister and I were younger dolls were a big part of our play. Take care Carol 😊
It is funny how some people find things creepy and others don't isn't it. I loved dolls as a child and I would rather them than a creepy looking stuffed animal 🤣. Each to their own I suppose. Let's hope Chloe does love dolls! Thanks for watching and your kind comment 🧵😊
Thanks so much Pamela. The scissors were quite a special purchase from William Whiteley Co in the UK but you can get cheaper ones on eBay and Etsy. Make sure you look for the ones with an adjustment screw. Good luck 🧵😊
Boy daughters can be so mean! I have one like that too. I think your doll is sweet! Btw I don't know what moll is. Also, that heather is beautiful. Does heather have a fragrance?
Yes daughters can be mean but I suppose Mums can be too 🤣. I am confused re your question on 'moll'? I am trying to think what you mean or what I might have said! Heather sadly doesn't have a fragrance which is such a shame as does almost look like lavender doesn't it. Thanks for your comment 🧵😊
@@ebudny7 oh yes, I said ... Marl !! I think that is what the fabric is called that has a shade of another colour in it. Phew, glad you solved that one for me 😁
I'm sure there is a joke there...🤣🤣🤧 Luckily little Chloe liked her doll yesterday so all is good 👏🏼 So glad you enjoy the wheel series as it's such fun for me to do. Have a good week 🧵😊
Good job on the doll ! She's ADORABLE !!!
Thank you very much, I'm so pleased you like her 🧵😊
The doll is beautiful and definitely not scary. I’m sure your granddaughter will love it. As to naming it, I find my grandchildren like to do that.
Thank you so much Gloria, of course I will let her decide in her own time what to call the little doll. I was just trying to think of 'who' she looked like! Thanks for watching 🧵😊
I think the doll is adorable, your granddaughter will love it. Glad your arm is improving, even with a sore arm you’ve made so much.
Thank you so much Angela, I can never be still so doing little projects like this has been perfect. I am glad you like her 🧵😊
Hope you're healing nicely, Carole.
The doll is precious! It's a wonderful gift 😊
Thank you so much! 🧵😊
The doll is gorgeous she will cherish that forever 😊 the peg house is beautiful. Enjoy your time with your family this weekend and don’t do to much ❤
Hi Sandra, I tried not to do much this weekend don' worry.
I really like watching your drawing. You draw things that I think inspire us to try ourselves. Thanks
Thank you for watching 🧵😊
Please don’t overdue it! Enjoy your alone time and cherish the quiet!💞
The doll is adorable! What lovely gifts from thoughtful friends.
Oh thank you Pamela, I am glad you like the doll. Have a wonderful week 🧵😊
The doll is adorable--I just wanted to cuddle her!
Oh thank you so much, that has made me so happy! I will miss her when she goes. Have a good weekend 🧵😊
The doll is adorable. She’s not scary!
Thank you very much Lori! I can't wait to give her to Chloe now. Have a great week 🧵😊
Beautiful doll and so glad you're recovering. Do take it easy
Thank you so much Anne, I promise I am behaving and doing nothing they told me not to! Have a good week 🧵😊
(I have sent you a message on Instagram)
Have a great weekend xx
The doll is gorgeous! Nothing scary about her at all!
Thank you, all these positive comments are putting my mind at ease 🥰. Have a good weekend 🧵😊
Glad your operation went well Carole T shirts look fab ❤😊
Thank you so much, I am so glad the operation is over believe me! Have a good weekend 🧵😊
I think I need it more than them 😂
Thank you so much for your kind words on the doll. Sewing the curve on that face was one of the hardest things and I didn't realise it would be so important that it was perfect, I will know for next time.
Thank you so much for sharing the story about your Father, he sounded like a very 'dapper' gentleman. Enjoy your week 🧵😊
Hi Carole your doll is so cute 😊 not scary at all. I think your granddaughter will love it ❤
Oh thank you Stephanie, I do hope you are right. My Son will definitely appreciate the work taken to create her anyway. 🧵😊
When I was growing up. I had a Raggedy Ann doll. There was also a raggedy Andy. It had zippers, buttons, and ties so you can learn how to do those things. I would love to have another one like that.
Thank you so much Marcia, that has put my mind at rest. Aren't those scissors so cool? Have a good weekend
Hope you have a good week too 😘💗😘
@@socarole66 Happy Sewing! 🪡❤🩹❤🩹
Love your doll, it is so sew cute...It will be loved for a long time.
Thank you so much, I really hope you are right. 🧵😊
Love the rag doll I'm she will love it you have done alot take care❤😊😊
Thank you Robyn, I really appreciate that! 🧵😊
Hi, Carole! I'm so pleased you liked the gifts! Thanks for the shout-out!! The doll is NOT scary! She is adorable!! 😘
Those buttonhole scissors are clever - nice neat end result. 👍
Oh the SONG!!! Why did you say that as I now have it going round and round in my head 😂😂. Thank you so much for the kind words about the doll, after all these comments I feel so much happier about giving it now as a present. Have a great week " here we go loopy loo.....here we go.........." xx
You’ve started me thinking about the actual tune now too !! 🤣🤣😮
@@jankerslake5813 🎤🎶
Thanks so much for your kind comments, I am doing ok 🧵😊
.y granddaughters love rag dolls!
Oh that is wonderful to hear, thank you! 🧵😊
Love the doll, not scary at all.
Thank you so much! 🧵😊
Very cute doll. It wasn't scary until you made it walk 😂
Oh Noemi that's hilarious 😂 Thanks so much for making me laugh 🧵😊
😂
The doll is cute! I think most kids would love it. Those scissors are truly amazing.
name suggestion for the doll...Lulu. Fun video today.
Oh yes, what a great suggestion for a name and so near to the one I had. Thanks for your comment 🧵😊
@@socarole66 I thought that name was close to the old one but something new. Just a suggestion.
The doll is adorable. I work at a childcare centre and I can honestly say the kiddies would love that doll. She is just so huggable!
That really does make me feel better, thank you. I know I would have loved her as a child and as you say, very huggable! 🧵😊
I really like the doll as well ❤ she looks like a Polly or an Alice
@@sarahbowden1544 thank you so much Sarah and great name suggestions 🧵😊
Hi Carole, we forgot to comment at the time, but your doll is absolutely gorgeous and not scary looking at all! Xx
Oh thank you! I am so glad that is was well received by my Granddaughter and parents. It was so much fun to make and I can't wait to make more clothes 🤣xx
The is definitely not scary. It’s extremely cute. I’m sure your granddaughter will love it.
Thank you, I hope that my Son and his wife agrees with you all! Have a good weekend
Wow, you’ve been busy. 😊 Hope the recovery continues well and you have a lovely weekend. Still waiting for summer in Scotland. Xx
Summer's gone!! Back to hideous rain today so don't worry, you aren't missing out 🤣. This has to be the worst Summer ever!
Thanks so much for your kind comments and hope you enjoy your weekend too 🧵😊
The doll is adorable and your grandchild will love it forever. 💕
Thank you Sandy, that is so kind 🧵😊
I don’t think the doll is scary at all😍
Thank you so much, I am so glad people approve of the doll! 🧵😊
That was so sweet of your friends across the pond to send you cool, well wishes gifts. That doll is not scary at all! I would love to make one of those for my granddaughter.🎉
I love the modeling!!!😅😅😅
@@Amberlillyshandmade let's hope you can still sew! 🤣. Take care xx
Oh thank you Tammy, that is so sweet of you. I hope you are right about my Granddaughter liking it if not now, then maybe going forward. 🧵😊
@@socarole66 me too! I found some on eBay and ordered them!
The doll is cute but understand about the seam line. I use Simplicity 8402.🥰
Thanks so much Dawn, I have just checked out that Simplicity pattern and that doll is so much cuter! 🧵😊
my sister had a loopy loo too x
Oh wow! Your sister must be of a similar age. Thanks so much for watching 🧵😊
Carole, I hope you are doing well. Carole, the doll is cute. It is not scary.
Thank you so much Vanessa, I am so pleased people approve of the doll. I enjoyed making it so much! 🧵😊
I'm really glad you enjoy the drawing part of the Lutterloh as like you, I'm not a fan of tracing or anything like that normally.
Hi Carole, I'm watching! Two days of summer!😅😅😅
Oh Zelda, we have enjoyed our last day of Summer today, down on the beach. Back to rain and wind tomorrow 😆
Loopy Loo, maybe a play on Andy Pandy's Looby Loo! Ragdoll is wonderful, not scary at all.
Oh my goodness you are right! I grew up watching Andy Pandy so you must be right 🤣. That was a flash back to the past 😊🧵

The 'fashion show' for her was such fun to do but took ages, she was not very
co-operative 😂. Re the T shirt, extending the length between the shoulder and arm pit is exactly what I did with this new striped one. It has almost eliminated it but needs a little more than the 1cm that I did this time. 🧵😊
Is the walking path near your home? How lovely.
Hi and thanks for watching. Yes, we live just over the road from a huge network of forest and walking paths, we are very lucky!
@@socarole66 Sounds like a glorious day!😎🌞🏖
You Pinted Another PDF Pattern!!! Yay!😅😅😅
Go me!!!! xx
Love your projects. I noticed the program heading you listed the date as 19 Aug 24, it's only 19 July 24.
Oh my goodness thank you so much! I'm a month ahead of myself 🤣. I have changed it now. Thanks for watching and letting me know x
Can you please give the link for the Minerva t shirt fabric? Thanks!
Hi there. Hopefully I have added the link to the bottom of the description box. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
I don’t think the doll is scary. I have read that very young children like simple faces like that. It will be a nice heirloom for your granddaughter
Where did you get your button hole scissors? Glad your arm is doing better.
You said we probably call this fabric moll?
@@ebudny7 oh yes, I said ... Marl !! I think that is what the fabric is called that has a shade of another colour in it. Phew, glad you solved that one for me 😁
@@socarole66thank you. I've never heard that before. Now I know!
I think the doll is scary she has no nose. How will she blow her nose. (I’m joking) I love watching the wheel. ❤
I'm sure there is a joke there...🤣🤣🤧
Luckily little Chloe liked her doll yesterday so all is good 👏🏼
So glad you enjoy the wheel series as it's such fun for me to do.
Have a good week 🧵😊
No I don’t think it’s scary
Thank you so much. The doll was very well received by my Granddaughter thank goodness! 🧵😊
