I met Sam at Game On Expo - These custom NES arcade cabinets (especially Duck Tales) were the hit of the show! Check him out at instagram.com/rewindbydesign/
All three were. I played through the Mega Man 2 one and it was awesome. Didnt get to try the Ducktales or Zelda but they looked and sounded great. Mega Man's and the Zelda cabinet are so awesome looking I would love them.
as much as I use the analogue nub on the xbox controller (more for positioning then anything) I'd hardly say an arcade joystick is the way nes titles, most anyway, were meant to be played.
Beautiful cabinets, if he's making them for himself I'm sure that would be fine. But if he's selling them, you'd have the Nintendo legal team (currently in overdrive) and the behemoth Disney (you can see the logo all over the 'Duck Tales' cabinet) with their lawyers, sending out the heavies.
things people seem to forget, link only moves 4 directions in The Legend of Zelda, not 8, you can't move diagonally, making using an arcade stick not exactly comfortable for this game.
Wow this guy is brilliant. Don't know why anyone hadn't thought of this before especially with so many good konami and capcom nes games. A Contra machine would be freaking epic. Now someone just needs to hack the rom so that you can use coins to play to give you so many lives etc. lol
This is sad day and great day for retro game, while there so many awesome people who make these for retro gamer community but there also sad news as Emuparadise close it's Rom download.
well arcades evolved a lot.. and porting 8 bit nes titles to a format you could charge by the minutes for became less profitable so they moved on to more sophisticated hardware.

John Riggs: RIGG'd Games that Zelda is so awesome
All three were. I played through the Mega Man 2 one and it was awesome. Didnt get to try the Ducktales or Zelda but they looked and sounded great. Mega Man's and the Zelda cabinet are so awesome looking I would love them.
I was amazed that these are scratch built! They are so amazing to see up close! Also, great meeting you at Game On this year, John!
I really wanted to go. But sadly I was broke. Hopefully next year I can make it. Those are pretty cool and unique no doubt.
I love the flat front glass. It adds some depth to the cabinet.
A.K.A. The Sneeze Guard
These are incredible! Damn. I’d happily shell out a chunk of change on that ducktales one.
Very well made, That Zelda one looks legit to see in an Arcade. Tempting to make one too..
Very nice, good on you John for showing stuff like that to those of us who can't go to the expos
Those are sick! The craftsmanship is stellar
You can never say gamers are not dedicated about their passion...these are freaking sweet!!
I would love to get my hands on these arcade machines custom made
I am stunned, and incredibly envious.
These are sooooo cool, if I had the money and space, I’d have a fleet of them.
Loving the Duck Tales one.
Very Beautiful! Nice craftsmanship. Talented guy!
Bro………. I neeeeeeeed the LoZ one. Uugghhhhhhhh. So awesome.

Oh...oh...those are amazing...just friggin beautiful...
Sam is awesome, and he has the best hair in the hobby.
Oh my. The Zelda cabinet is flawless. I swoon at thy beauty.
Awesome cabs! Loved the Zelda model... I WANT ONE!!! haha
Love the cabinets!! especially the DuckTales one .Great job to the creator. Wonder how much one of this would cost $$$.
Probably a few million with the amount of work the guy put into them. lol
If I was a bit more wealthy, I'd be buying his cabinets like fine art. Those are beautiful.
They look amazing.
as much as I use the analogue nub on the xbox controller (more for positioning then anything) I'd hardly say an arcade joystick is the way nes titles, most anyway, were meant to be played.
That zelda cabinet is awesome, would buy in a heart beat.
MrProjectpat15 a $10k heartbeat?
I think he would skip a few heartbeats at that price.
Oh. My. GOD!!! I want a Zelda cabinet!!!
things people seem to forget, link only moves 4 directions in The Legend of Zelda, not 8, you can't move diagonally, making using an arcade stick not exactly comfortable for this game.
The joystick is 4/8 way adjustable....set to 4 ways for this specific cab, it plays awesome.
That Ducktales Cabinet is a NEED
That's really cool. You should see if he'll make one of the Bob's Burgers hack you made John
They're beautiful!!
These look absolutely Amazing!
Cool I want that Ducktales arcade cabinet
I want a DKC trilogy cabinet!!! Or a new Galaga one...
Please do a custom arcade cabinet for the NES game Stinger.
i wish i had the materials to make something like this. very cool.
They look amazing
Need to do Metroid and Castlevania next!!!
Amazing work! Not sure if the crt TV would be in that exact angle, but still...love it!
Thanks!! The CRTs are actually at 40 degrees...just like a regular cab. :)
I actually helped design the instruction cards for both the Mega Man and Zelda cabinets!!!! :)
Don’t forget, you also gave me the rough draft for Duck Tales too....I couldn’t have done them without you, thank you!
I need a Japanese Castlevanie III cab like this
These are a one up, on the Arcade1ups.
These are awesome! Thanks for sharing
Soooo much better than those other mass produced jokes selling at Walmart...
LB Jon These were also selling for more than 8x the price of those. But they were very nicely done.
Wonder how hard it would be to set up a arcade with things like this
0:55 Ok... Im gonna make Hotel Mario
If I was rich, I'd buy his collection
Great work I wonder how much he charges
Awesome arcade machines 👍😂💖
Wow this guy is brilliant. Don't know why anyone hadn't thought of this before especially with so many good konami and capcom nes games. A Contra machine would be freaking epic. Now someone just needs to hack the rom so that you can use coins to play to give you so many lives etc. lol
Contra actually started as an arcade game...
LazingBlazers I know that but the NES one is much better in my opinion.
for the price your paying you probably would do better in the long run and get a dedicated thing like an xarcade machine.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍those cabs are gorgeous
I would like to buy one of those MAME arcade machine cabinets but they all come with two player joystick and I only want one player.
TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Hey John, i was wondering what you think about the shutdown of emuparadise?
Nice, how about a Metal Gear arcade?, that would be awesome, great job buddy, btw, how much they go for.
God bless this man.
Those are quite amazing!!!!
Nice eye candy but how did they play?
thanks for showing those we're cool
This is sad day and great day for retro game, while there so many awesome people who make these for retro gamer community but there also sad news as Emuparadise close it's Rom download.
That is INSANE
I cannot like this any harder.
What's the input lag like on these since it's emulating (i'm assuming it's emulation).
nice except should be set up for 2 players..unless im not seeing it right??
i need that ducktales cab ;p
...so why did Nintendo quit making the Playchoice 10 again?? This video hit me right in the memories.
Oddily enough there was a Playchoice 10 there but I didnt see anyone really play it in comparison to these.
well arcades evolved a lot.. and porting 8 bit nes titles to a format you could charge by the minutes for became less profitable so they moved on to more sophisticated hardware.
So freaking cool!
Make a custom Minecraft Story Mode Arcade Machine
I like the Zelda one
How much???
Where I Can buy one like this?
you know how much money nintendo can make with something like this.
Suing them? I mean that's the only way Nintendo would handle something like this
Damn that's so sweet!

Thanks for destroying a dedicated Nintendo cabinet to massage your ego.
Use your ears at 1:30...they are made from scratch.
Troll has been successfully trolled. 😘
