I think the case worker should have been held accountable. I, as a former foster parent can tell you we are always being watched closely by these workers and made to feel we aren’t good enough to question their decisions. Thankfully our last case worker knew what she was doing and actually protected the child before listening to the lies the parents were spewing. Oh, and it absolutely disgusts me he kept his job…but isn’t that typical with one of these govt jobs? They are protected while an innocent, beautiful child who should have been protected just as well is murdered and her body will probably never be found. It’s just wrong.
I cried so much when this trial was going on. To hear everything that beautiful angel went through. Then that monster even in her death tried to have control of where her body is.
Apparently by simply not filling in certain info on the Massachusetts DCYF/CPS/court paperwork…judge looked right past it, and handed him an innocent child that didn’t even survive a year with him 😟
Yet everyone loves to complain when government gets in their life. How about both parents be held accountable and not given so many chances to continue to abuse their child and then end up with a dead little one. Now that useless junkie bio mother once again not taking any responsibility wants $$$
So he noticed injury but did not contact police, failure! However there are MANY case workers that are either not doing their job or have very limited power due to overreach of the state. Entire System needs to be audited to weed out these failing depts & workers to help prevent future harm.
He needs to be held accountable. He testified that he saw him get in the car but it drove off and he never followed up. In a case of abuse, why would you believe a foam story? Smh all parties involved failed Harmony

It breaks my heart to see the pictures of her with a smile on her face and knowing that her life was pure hell ! Everyone failed her and I mean everyone in her life failed her miserably ! These state workers act like they don't want to do much for the clients and rather just get paid by their state.
No. Crystal isn't Kayla. Yes, she battled substance addiction but she learned from it & she's not a career criminal. DCYF should've never overlooked that or AT LEAST acted when Kevin reported the abuse.

Adam stood trial 1st for gun dealings in the summer of 2023 and in February 2024 for killing his daughter. Kayla got 18 months for perjury & got a deal for being the State's witness/her testimony about what happened on Dec. 7, 2019 & afterwards. Harmony's case has been in the national news for almost 3 years now.
Could he have done more? He should have done something that's his job. But that job is damned if you do damned if you don't. Either she goes to foster home with bad people or stay with killer father. I mean this case worker is one of the root of America's problems in protecting American Children.
