It's always a bit interesting seeing people nostalgic for the Leopard style 3d shelf dock because a lot of us actually hated it back in the day. Tiger was my first exposure to OS X, and I remember after I upgraded to Leopard I pretty much immediately used some app or Terminal trick to get rid of the 3d dock. Speaking of which, I still think Tiger is one of the best operating systems ever. I guess nostalgia quite powerful lol.
i love how apple releases a new version every year around the same time, and microsoft is like we'll release a new version whenever we feel like it thank you
Man I remember MacOS X being my favorite OS and the Darwin kernel is objectively better than Windows NT. MacOS X was allways so cool to me when I was a kid. I felt like I was using a monster of a workstation that could also play all the games I wanted. Apple destroyed all the things I loved about MacOS in these last 4 years one by one. Thanks Tim Cook, now I am forced to run Linux with crappy Nvidia drivers!
I’m 90% sure most of these OS versions are only running slow because they’re being emulated. I work with a lot of the older OS and the only reason they take a long time is because of their HDDs.
Very informative video! Which version would you say is your go to after making this video? Mine is 10.8 Mountain Lion, i love the boxy design, but i don’t like the newer versions. (I don’t like iOS’s design.)
Honestly, what I kinda respect about Apple is that they know how to make things look fancy and consistent. But nowadays, they're just the ones always late to featues
In my collection, I keep a glossy white 20-inch G5 iMac and a 12-inch G4 PowerBook running on OS X 10.4 Tiger. Also, in my collection is a glossy white 24-inch Intel iMac and a 15-inch laptop both still running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (with Rosetta 1, Front Row, etc.).
Thank you, for this "blast from the Past". My favorite operating systems are as follows: Classic was OS 9.2.; Power PC was OS X 10.4 Tiger; Cat named Intel was OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard; semi modern was OS X 10.13 High Sierra (smile...smile).
not necessarily, in Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, they changed the aqua interface and made it more “flat” to match iOS 7 and 8 more closely. The graphic driver issues are the weird artifacts and the slowness overall.
In my collection, I keep both a glossy white 24-inch Intel iMac and a 15-inch laptop running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Why? Because, this is the last version of OS X that supported Rosetta 1 which, let you run older Power PC OSX software (i.e. Apple Works, Via Voice, etc.).
This is probably the worst video I've watched on RUclips in a while. It looks like you deliberately edited out every piece of substance from the video and only left bad jokes and "omg so random lol" nonsense. I watched 4 minutes and I feel like I extracted absolutely nothing, zero information.
Comment which operating systems I missed and which ones are your favorite!!!!

My favorite will also be OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard ....the reflections of the Apps in the Dock is priceless (smile...smile).
