How did you get a 3/8” leaf spring to fatten up to that?
I know. Just wanted to see what they would say...

Rewatch the video --- all shown up.
It is a common smithing technic for advanced novice. ))
@@iridios6127 it goes from a regular spring to thick as hell in 2 seconds.

It's called --- video editing.
The cuts are made very smoothly, but they are still visible to the experienced eye. Also, the unoriginal sound-over is confusing. ))
Also whole video accelerated. At least x2.
But you may be right --- on 1:20 looks like they take another piece of steel. ))
But the moves are legit --- just take a bigger piece of spring. ))))
@@iridios6127 Iv been pounding steel for many years.. and most of what I use is leaf spring mainly because I can get packs for next to nothing. I am in no way shape or form saying what they are doing wrong they are talented smiths and They produce a beautiful tool. But 5160 does not move like that in my experience. That is why I asked the question.
good forger,, but forge axe is for single handed,, while picture is good for two hands,, the leaf spring is two thin for double handed axe
Nope. You can fold the spring and weld it to get enough material to any type of axe . )))
What's with the porn music ?
You cheated the last photo.
