WOW...I just learned of Dean Dill today. Loved his performance.
    Loved the interview.
And, now I just learned he died in 2015.
    What is weird.
I feel like I miss him.
    He was so likable.
I wish I learned of him sooner.

He was a lovable gentle man. The magicians who knew him weep for him. I cried and am in disbelief. He was, in my opinion, one of the world's best. Thank you Dean. We miss you!!! 😭

Thanks so much for uploading this.
So many magicians owe this man so much, and I'm one of them. Farewell old pal.

Awesome guy...met him a few times re guitar for his son, music and magic ideas I had. Turns out we had a lot in common. I described a routine i had come up with...that magician friends were saying was a lot like a dean dill routine. I had never seen or heard of Dean until he walk into my store on burbank blvd. (Custom furniture collectibles and music instruments were always on display and some magic. Ziggy The Hipster Designs)
We talked about guitars and his son and Kiss. Very little about magic. He really wanted his son to meet Kiss. Strangley, I was in a position to try and make this happen. Dean invited me to his barber shop. And that is how we met. On my first visit he said tell me about your routine your friends say is like one of mine. I told him the effect. And he asked a few questions. Do you use a gimmick case..did you make it? I said..yes..i made it and keep it loaded at all times sealed with a hair tie. He laughed abs said Yeah..it sounds like this...and he handed me his Blizzard routine sealed. He said you can keep it. Great idea. I still have it. Never opened it. I just rewatched this video today for the second time.
We sat down and he asked to see more of my routines. So I showed him "midnight express" Turkish turnover and the echo deal.
He said nice but how did you control the four cards. I said Oh..i do this echo false deal at the beginning. He said show it to me. So I did. He said..."you've got something there." That's the real trick...he said " just focus on that move and develop around that"
Lol ...I thought that's what i was doing...but he had a point. That sleight alone can accomplish many things. Thanks Dean for all your confidence and compassion.
My "4 or more" and "4 women only"
Are similar to blizzard...unknowingly...he could've been angry or weird or short....but he was so nice. Hard to explain..but almost like he knew his time was short and other things in life matter more. We just laughed, talked and enjoyed the day sessioning with cards. No coins at all.

What a wonderful, humble, and charming man.
Too bad his humility prevented him from being a real star.
He had the ability, and more, he has a good stage personality.
Just a little showmanship would have made him a rich magician.
He seems to have a great wife, and wonderful friends,
so maybe he is rich, after all.
