Imagine being there in that audience to witness that performance. I miss these two GOATS so much. Hopefully they are jamming together for eternity. ❤🙏❤
Undoubtedly one of the very best and most classic examples of two blues guitar masters raising the bar and burning up all the oxygen in the room!! Wow!!!
I just found this on Jeff's site. I didn't know Jeff was there. In the early hours of August 27th, 1990, Stevie Ray Vaughan and four others, died in a tragic helicopter crash. In the two days prior to the tragedy, Vaughan, Jeff, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Jimmie Vaughan shared a bill and spent time playing and hanging out together at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wisconsin. Since their first meeting in 1985, he and Vaughan had been good friends. Jeff’s pal, Cory Mihaluk convinced the then barely 19 year-old Healey to accept Albert Collins‘ invitation to jam with him and Stevie at Toronto’s legendary blues club, Albert’s Hall. Many, including Jeff saw this as a defining moment in his fledgling career…Vaughan’s untimely death at the young age of 35 stunned Jeff and left a profound mark on his life. I remember him telling me that he knew exactly where the helicopter had crashed as he and Stevie had been walking there the night before… Over the last five years of his life, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff would play together a number of times and Jeff was proud to call him friend.
I saw SRV in concert not long before he died and he was just as amazing as any of the videos I've seen. I never saw Jeff but am very thankful for the videos.
Sue Creswell...Thanks so much for the phenomenal information you shared... Jeff's and SRV's great character runs as deep as their musical talent... May it never be forgotten.
I was an early SRV fan from Wisconsin. I was in total shock and sadness when the news came on. Never put off until tomorrow what is in your heart today. You might never get another’s chance. 😢
I saw Jeff Healey at a club venue in the eighties, his guitar was so loud it would knock you over.. and his band was a tight trio . Jeff was always good to his fans, he'd sign autographs and was always happy to chat with anyone. I have never heard anyone play guitar the way Jeff Healey played, he was incredible.
Agree. Both Jeff and Stevie were taken way too soon. They had so much fun when they played together. The BIG similarity between Jeff and Stevie is they both completely emoted through their guitars. Actually, Jeff Healey was at Alpine Valley for what became Stevie's last show. He and Bonnie Raitt drove over from their gig to catch the show, but they didn't play. As I understand, they just watched backstage since the Alpine Valley show was packed with Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, and Buddy Guy.
I love and hate all these great comments about Jeff, I was psyched to see him in 2008 april-may(in Sweden), but sadly he passed away in february-march. I really felt that. his music was a part of my up-bringing. My dad got to see him two times in the early 90s and I take his word for it, it was great!
I have watched this video a couple dozen times in the past. Jeff looks so young!! Stevie's face when Jeff jumps up and plays. Priceless!! I think they did some things together but with others too!! Keep it up! The surprise on your Facebook is awesome!
Hey Sue...What do you get when SRV plays with Jeff? Pure Magic! Stevie loved to play with others & share the stage, this is just another example of some straight up nasty Blues by 2 Men who loved to play!
Blind since before he was even one year old, God only knows how he learned to play the guitar -- in a way that is uniquely his own. To ME, this video shows TWO legendary blues guitarists, as well as one of Stevie's best vocals. Not sure why Jeff wasn't singing, because he also had a great blues voice. Check out his live performance of "As the Years Go Passing by" .... It will absolutely astound you!
Absolutely! I actually think Jeff's licks were cleaner than SRV's in this! There are no words that can do justice to describe this absolute legend - Jeff Healey. It is a flat-out crime that he is not more widely known and exalted in the musical community.
What I enjoy, is watching reactions to those who have never heard of SRV. After moving to Texas a few years before his passing, I got a huge absorbing of his music, and just listening to him play brings back a lot of emotions.
I heard an interviews with Stevie where he said you had to be careful when Jeff said up so you didn't get wacked with his guitar!!! I can't find any other videos of them together. Sorry. Please put SRV MTV unplugged. His 12srring acoustic skills are out of this world! He's the first artist to do unplugged.
Thank God they got to play together 😇 Stevie Ray never invited hardly anyone on-stage the more I think about it??? That says allot about his respect for Jeff, so happy he did man...
Thank you, thank you! I am 60yrs old and consider myself a HUGE fan of both of these artists. I had no idea this video existed!! See... we can always learn something new!
Good morning, I love your joyful anticipation!! This is so good. I was afraid Stevie was going to get hit when Jeff got up😁 Been there before!! I play right hand Fender bass, one of my sons plays left handed Fender Strat, the youngest right handed Les Paul.We have bumped a few times😉 Love us some good music. Gets us through this life.
Please react to Stevie Ray Vaughan Crossfire Live at Night Music, or, Tightrope Live from Austin City Limits Texas, I guarantee that you are going to love them seeing as you like Stevie so much. The two songs are more in the blues rock vein than pure blues but both are amazing songs from his later period.
I'm glad to see that you did this one and it looks like an additional one with Jeff Healey and his band, I believe you and everybody else you're just going to have to dig really hard because I have been told there is more footage of SRV & Jeff Healey playing together. Jeff and his band were phenomenal and it is true that both of them were taken way too soon, I'm thankful for the music that is Left Behind and what we can find on RUclips which is just a blessing! But I always think if the two of them were still here and performing how much more would be in their musical Library's?
That was awesome! I love both of them, but this is the first time I have seen this video. Thank you! Have you ever seen the movie Roadhouse? Jeff is in that movie.
Outstanding reaction thank you for that they were both good friends you everyone always wants to say who the greatest guitarists was and we all have our favorites but to these guys they didn’t care about that they respected each other they loved to play SRV was influenced by Jimi Hendrix and would say Jimi was the best guitarists of all time if we could just step back and realize they were all great for one and people also forget these songs you are reacting to these are live performances no gimmicks just unbelievable talent anyway thanks for bringing good memories back to a 58 yr old man I grew up listening to these guys great job keep up your honest reactions that’s why I subscribed to your channel
When I discovered Stevie, it opened up my world to all the greats. See, that was the thing about him. Stevie surrounded himself by his heroes as well giving a boost to rising stars and his favorite blues players. By listening to and following Stevie, its like having a master key to experience all of the greats. Sure he had his flaws like anyone else, but his heart is unmatched.
I got to see Jeff at Niagara Falls on New Years Eve outdoors at the bottom of Clifton Hill while it was snowing and fireworks were shot off every hour at the bottom the falls. Perfect New Years Eve
Hey Pat...just a little bit of info you may find interesting. Do you know the David Bowie song “lets dance”? That’s Stevie Ray doing the guitar riffs on the song. It was Stevie’s “big break” kind of. 😁👍🏻
Man I'm loving these types of reactions: LIVE PERFORMANCES -- where TRUE talent thrives. If you're into it, check out: Billie Jean - Michael Jackson Motown 25. Shows why MJ reached astronomical status (and the first moonwalk!) or check out his last performance of Billie Jean on his 30th anniversary concert (at age 43 and still absolutely kills it)
Ok, i've just subscribed to your chanel, 1st time subscribing to anything coz you're killing it man. I know you're gonna appreciate and be blown away by this one. It's mesmorising and i need to take a nap after watching it. It's SRV and friends, klv, jay stehli and k wilson performing "don't fall for me baby" live. When you get a chance check it out. Thanks and keep them coming mate.
G'day from Scotland. If you like Jeff you should check out this video:- ruclips.net/video/P-a0U0cfh3A/видео.html. It's Jeff with Colin James appearing on Canadian TV show. A little more sedate as it's an acoustic performance, but still fantastic. Colin was also mates with Stevie Ray, and also toured with him. Two of my favourite Canadian guitar players, just having fun.
Thanks for this vid., I really enjoy your reactions. There are lots of great suggestions for great blues players in your comment section and I'd like to add one more. Please check out the Tedeshi-Trucks band. really anything of theirs is good and I am confident you will love them. As an added bonus , they're not dead so you can actually see them if your lucky.
Good Morning....here's another awesome talent of American idol.season 11. Why he finished 3rd is a mind shaker...try Joshua Ledet singing bell Jar . if more than one location. Pick idol one. And another its a man's world at the white house
Hi Patrol Gaming--- Kenny Wayne Shepard doing voodoo child with guy named Noah on vocals in concert. There's studio one. Do live one....SRV version will always be my fav. But let me say this one is a close 2nd. Can you imagine Beth singing it witb Kenny
if you like blues/jazz/rock with guitar work , you need to check out Laith Al Saadi complete disgrace, not only is Laith a monster on guitar, but the studio video recorded in 2 track has legends Leland Skar on Bass and Jim Keltner on drums. (yes Laith was on the voice...but this was recorded before that)
SRV had great respect for Jeff not just because he was blind but because he was a great player and had a better techinique playing flat on his lap and also you might get a guitar in the face if you ddnt look out when Jeff went off LOL
Wow!!!
Beautiful reaction, brother… Stevie’s deference to him is delightful..the rapport is amazing..just a rare perfect collaboration

And I'm from East Troy. Alpine valley is the best venue on Earth. Then it's Red Rocks!

Jeff was always good to his fans, he'd sign autographs and was always happy to chat with anyone. I have never heard anyone play guitar the way Jeff Healey played, he was incredible.
Recognize that Jeff Healy is blind, and a total badass
Hey David, completely BADASS...At the beginning of the song, Jeff is throwing out some very tasty licks, even though he's playing rhythm.
@@markwambolt2820 oh I know. His ability to transition between rythm and lead makes him great. He is in my mind in the top 10 of blues guitarists.
@@davidlosey431 My top guitarist of all-time. Gary Moore, Jeff Healey, SRV, Rory Gallagher, and Danny Gatton!

Hey Sue...What do you get when SRV plays with Jeff? Pure Magic! Stevie loved to play with others & share the stage, this is just another example of some straight up nasty Blues by 2 Men who loved to play!
One of my all-time favorites. I love to see the delight on SRV's face when Jeff stands up. Priceless.
Holy Crap! I didn't know SRV played with Jeff! You just showed me something. That was amazing! Thank you for that.
I'm a simple man, i see Steve Ray Vaughan I click
Austin Beaty I’m a simple woman... and I do the same

So I'll be the fourth one !

Jeff was blind and Stevie played with his eyes closed..Both true talents that will never be replaced..GOAT's!
when you make Stevies jaw drop. . .

Jeff Healey living his best life
I found a bootleg audio called Jammin with the Boys. It's SRV, Jeff, Albert Collins and others at Albert Hall. Albert Collins is the headliner.
Both are the Greatest ! never will we see none like them,
Holy shit! Never seen that one. That was insane! Now do Johnny Winter mate... pretty please?
Expectations are blown out of the water
That was flipping brilliant ~ huge cudos for sharing it; have a kick as* day and keep up the great work! 👍

Gotta check out SRV and Jeff Beck doing " going down "
Stevie Ray said that Jeff was the one guitarist that challenged him to be at his best when they played together.
Agree 100%. It is a flat-out crime that Jeff is not more widely known and exalted in the musical community.
Jeff Healey best guitarist you never knew
1000% agree! We will never see talent like Jeff again.
Stevie is the best. Keep going. Thx

YES!!!! Stevie's soundcheck video is absolutely amazing!!!
So freakin cool...full length fur coat inTexas! And loved him in the hat. Made this Texas Girl’s heart melt.
He came out on stage and yawned a little was wiping sleep from his eyes from just waking up and the sound check was amazing!
Another display of how far and crazy good Stevie can play is Leave My Little Girl Alone. Austin City Limits one night in Texas.

SRV and Johnny Copeland Tin Pan Alley and Look At Little Sister
That is an awesome video ... I've watched it dozens of times.
The other thing, Jeff Healey always played a $200 Squier Stratocaster; it's Fender's budget line.
It’s so sad Jeff Healy never got the recognition he deserved! What talent.
Off the chart
Stevie Ray in Nashville doing " Ain't going to give up on love "
2 greats gone to soon.
live from London is THE concert to see from the Jeff Healey band.
The second you hear Stevie start to shred @4:04 is why he was the best. That tone and power was just different and you can feel it.
Really do not think Jeff ever got the credit he deserved for his amazing talent. At least Stevie recognized it. Thanks for doing this one!
Srv and Albert king jamming
Jeff Healy was actually in the movie road house with Patrick swazye
Stevie indirectly got Jeff a record contract
Jeff's technique would be almost impossible to teach. Strike that...IMPOSSIBLE.
G'day from Scotland. If you like Jeff you should check out this video:- ruclips.net/video/P-a0U0cfh3A/видео.html.

I believe there is a BB King broadcast with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Healey do some research I think you'll find it and you'll love it
Reaction when you used to listen to hip-hop, cRAP and Bilie Ellishs. Then, you discover what real music is: true singing, rythm, harmony and melody.
Thanks for this vid., I really enjoy your reactions. There are lots of great suggestions for great blues players in your comment section and I'd like to add one more. Wait, what...that is now on the list for sure.
You know kenny Wayne shepherd used double trouble on his second album trouble is right?
Joe Bonamassa " woke up dreaming" omg!!!!
There's one of Stevie playing I think voodoo and his guitar strap breaks shows how confident he is
Yep, the only thing wrong with that was it was too short. That was pure greatness.
if you like blues/jazz/rock with guitar work , you need to check out Laith Al Saadi complete disgrace, not only is Laith a monster on guitar, but the studio video recorded in 2 track has legends Leland Skar on Bass and Jim Keltner on drums. (yes Laith was on the voice...but this was recorded before that)
Yeah, Jeff Beck and SRV... you should check that one out.
i don't think of Jeff as a blind guitarist. He is a canadian icon. He also payed trumpet. the fact that SRV played with him means everything
This is great, but I still think 'See the Light' is even better with his solo performance, Healey was just amazing.
Unfortunately way too short a version...still amazing though.
🤘🏻😎🏴
Please check out Stevie Ray, Jimmie, Carlos Rojas and Carlos Santana Costa Mesa 1988.
