I thought he already was obsessed with sweets? Like in his files and how its because he used to be part of a impoverished family outside of Laterano then became obsessed with desserts after he had his first.

??? he's had a personality. he's a self absorbed opportunist who does the bare minimum unless he sees an opportunity for him to capitalize. he's like this because he was an orphan in siracusa's streets: he had to act in his own self-interest until laterano reps came to pick him up. now he keeps his head down and his position stable because he realizes that if he takes on any more responsibility than he does now, it puts the stability of his lifestyle at risk. he's calm and friendly, but if he didn't have 0.01% compassion for people who are also trying to come up from unfair circumstances, he'd be a straight up sociopath, if a rather harmless one. i don't like him, but it's definitely not because of a lack of personality.
