Dude, this ride was sooo smooth. The only downer was I couldn't see straight when we came through that final roll. Worth it though.
Basically Bolliger and Mabillard's best advantages on their roller coaster :)
When we went to kings island it rained and when it stopped raining like everyone left and it was my family ridding the ride 10 times in a row

This was my first big roller coaster, and I only waited 15 minutes yesterday morning to ride it! It was awesome and I can't decide whether this or diamondback is my favorite coaster!

Lucky I waited over 2 hours because I decided to go when it first came out

I just waited 3 hours to ride it, really fun though
Being a former ride worker ( 99-2000) there were advancements in efficiency I noticed that were impressive. The lift was quiet and fast with a chain lift. I know exactly why B&M uses chains no matter...they are more reliable than a cable lift.
2- I was wondering about capacity since this does not have a midway/block brake run. I think that it was an intelligent decision to do this as the ride is better. Also, when I went here in spring, there was a trim brake after the zero G roll I believe. In the fall, it was removed..
3- The speed that the train travels when it hits the main brake's is fast and the drive wheels sending the train into the station are quick as well.
4- I think the time wasted waiting on a floor to drop ( Montu, Raptor) being eliminated is smart.
5- The trains are comfortable. I fit with a lot of help in the front row but the fat boy seats were ingenious. Everyone in my group was able to ride and the crew was very kind.
I like this ride and I like that B&M is still a thriving company.
What don't I like? This ride is so damn smooth it's almost entering motion simulator status. I part of me wants a BIT of the jerky/oh shit quality of a traditional coaster. Its marvelous that B&M has managed to make a crazy ass ride like that so smooth but I believe the effect of being on something dangerous is going away.
I also don't like that the traditional B&M "roar" is totally missing here.
Overall, it's a stupidly amazing ride. Better than Raptor? Not quite ready to let that be said but it's fantastic and incredible.

In my opinion, this ride is not at all close to the best ride at all. The first time riding it, it's really cool. But then it gets repetitive. Just all loops and twists, no big hills, and the ride itself is really short.

I love how massive that drop after the zero-g roll is. Great use of terrain!
This is such an amazing coaster. Without a doubt, the best B&M invert in the world - also probably will be one of the last ones ever made for quite a while as they are becoming obsolete. I love the hangtime they give you in the inversions and spaces them out to produce as much speed as possible. Too many of these coasters are nothing but cramped inversions so that you don’t know where you’re at the entire time or what’s up or down. This is the perfection of the B&M invert. I love how the first hill is insanely steep and how it goes through directly through one of the loops. The color scheme is the best on any coaster ever made in my opinion. And I wish B&M would put these seats and restraints on every one of their coasters still running, no matter how old. If it’s feasibly possible that is. Great coaster!
this makes montu look like wacky worm
This was my very first upside down roller coaster and i LOVED it! I was so nervous when i got on and was thinking about not doing it but it was too late! When i rode it hardly no one was in the line so me and my best friend rode it multiple time, best coaster in the park!
honestly i hated roller coasters i was so scared you wouldn't believe. but i decided i wanted to face my fear and i chose one of the biggest rides at kings island and it was not bad at all. really enjoyed it and i hope more people can get over their fears too!
2:18 This was the first roller coaster I ever rode when I went to Kings Island for my first time I was very nervous. But when it first of that big drop my body was shaking.
I am terrified of roller coasters and heights. But I rode The Banshee three times one year. I saw it and I was bound and determined to enjoy myself. I steeled my nerves and went for it. Most fun I've had in a long time.

My very first experience on an inverted coaster... or any real big coaster was on this ride. I was terrified waiting on that lift to end. I was CRYING 😂 By the end of the ride I was wanting to go again. And again. And again. And so I did. This is the coaster I lost my coaster virginity to. And now I ride them all. 💜 I love this ride.

For me, this coaster is so smooth. You wont even feel the loops! and your hair stays in one place, this ride is on my bucket list.

Not surprised. As much as I liked it, it was a very rough ride!! Worse than the beast. It sat unused for the last two years before they tore it down.

BEST RIDE AT THE PARK HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it so much!!!! Rode in the front seat for the ride and am so glad to have gone today and rode it! Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for some great fun!
This is probably the smoothest B&M invert
I actually just got back from media day! The ride is AWESOME! It is a bit rough if you don't sit in the front or second to front, but seriously, it's incredible. All of the crazy, unique elements make for a great, intense ride.
I really like those new restraints, I hope more rides get them.

***** Honestly i think otsr are going to be nearly extinct on non inverted coasters, manufactures like premier rides and Rocky Mountain Construction are showing that thick lap bars are just enough to keep people in, its good to see the directions coasters are going these days.
Wow this roller-coaster; just the track layout, immense speed and the restraints look amazing and in good quality, this has to be brand new, but this is probably the best inverted roller-coaster out there.

B&M hit a home run with Banshee! So many unique elements that set it apart from their other inverts. Amazing! Also, Kings Island FTW!

I went a few days ago. You should ride the Banshee, Diamondback, Invertigo, Delerium, and the Vortex. Those are my top recommendations for rides! Have fun!
I'm going tomorrow (May 31) as well, but I actually go a lot during the summer because I live near the park. The Diamondback is my favorite, then the Banshee, but they're all really fun.

TPR: Are there any inverts with a proper first drop? They all seem to have that played out curved swooping first drop [at least Banshee has a steep curved drop], I've yet to see one with a traditional straight plumet. Is there an actual reason for this?

There is Raptor at Cedar Point, it swoops to the side but then plummets down without the turning, it's the closest you'll get to a normal non-swooping drop on a Invert

With how hyped up Son of Beast's replacement is, I expected it to be longer and more exciting. I understand you don't get the full experience watching a POV since you don't experience the G-forces of the ride, but I just expected more from it after watching POVs of Fury 325 and The Beast.
I guess I'm going to have to contact one of these parks to see if they would be willing to do something with one of my designs. I've got a crazy design called Quasar that features 11 inversions including a barrel roll interlocked with its main vertical loop, a cobra and several diving loops. It ended up being extremely smooth for something designed in RCT2, and I'm considering remaking it in a proper simulator.

Don't exactly have anything else at the moment. I'd copy the design over to No Limits but the lack of camera controls in the editor and no launcher segments is a problem.

Am I the only one that wasn't really impressed with Banshee? I rode it the first time, got my adrenaline rush, then got bored. Everytime I ride now it feels like a cool down ride. I honestly think Beast is way better. Vortex would be the best if it didn't hurt. I think they should tear it down and rebuild it. It would hurt less and be awesome!
i completely agree in saying the beast is better, but personally i think this ride gives quite a rush wehn you're on it
Yeah I guess the Vortex does hurt, but I don't think Kings Island would tear down a ride that had millions of dollars put into it. Roller coasters don't come cheap lol.
Inhaled vortex was only like 4 million that’s 20 million less than banshee and over the years it’s not even had another 100k put into it it hasn’t been painted for a while and it only gets maintenance done to it in today’s world it was a relatively cheap ride
Joelle Jackson the Vortex gives me whiplash at the ears because it’s so jerky but it’s fun at night. The banshee is soo fun and I agree the first time I went in June of 2014 it was hot and I liked the ride but after that I didn’t like it as much but I still like it somewhat it’s just boring now. Kinda simple. The beast is soo fun too I love that ride and I can’t believe of how old it is tho and at night in the woods it’s horrific but is fun.
The bandage was actually 24 million bucks and Bollinger and Mabillard installed the Banshee and The Diamondback.
I can’t say anything about the line, cause I had the fast pass everytime I went, but I loved the ride and the banshee scream at the top of the hill. The ride isn’t the smoothest but it is amazing. Would recommend.

I rode this yesterday, it was AMAZING I was in the second row to the front, far left. The workers picked our seats. This ride is my new favorite ride. It's really awesome and smooth.

TimmehTheAmazing I was there when that happened! I was in the fast pass lane outside when I heard hissing. We all thought it was going to blow up so we all panicked and I got thrown down the stairs right before you enter the station. It didn't seem to have blown up at all thankfully, but it was a frightening experience.

I'm sorry, it's awesome but NOTHING will ever beat Millenium Force. They are difference style rides but still, it's the BEST rollercaoster I've ever ridden in my life and I've been on a lot, including this one. I'm just waiting for something to beat it, and still nothing can.

Living in Ohio and 30 mins from Kings Island, I've ridden this at least 4 times. It's so fun! Since it's new, it's very smooth and you can't even feel the loops! I didn't scream once! Best ride at Kings Island, 11/10.

This is a very good ride. Smooth and fun. Most rides in Kings Island are Great. Especially The Beast.

Just rode this baby today. Smooth like butter and aces up all the way. Even Diamondback felt a little rough after this sweet, sweet gem of a coaster.
I finally get to go back to King’s Island next week and this is the one I’m most excited for.

I was there yesterday for opening day and my first ride on Banshee was the front row. What an amazing ride. Last year, there would've been no way you'd get me on that thing.
