As a veteran teacher, I just laugh. This is how children behave now and this behavior is reinforced by lack of parenting and discipline. Parents refuse to take phones away and would rather be friends. They tell teachers all the time for us to deal with it. Now these kids act a fool in public and get kicked out of malls en masse. Big shock.
Completely agree!
Former 7th Grade ELA teacher. I quit teaching because of the out of control behavior that no one is willing to own up to. It's disgusting.
This is why there is a massive teacher shortage and you can’t blame people for quitting because they simply do not get paid enough to put up with behavior like this. I tutor math up until 12th grade and my worst students are pretty much all in the newest generation. They’re just grown iPad kids overtaken by overconsumption. They never do their work, draw on the tables, goof off the entire session, and do nothing. The parents even defend their kid’s shit behavior when we complain about it.
@angelam9822 TRUTH! I quit too, after 18 years. Kids do no wrong and can't comprehend fault or causation when police get involved. Smh. Sad and disheartened
I’m a parent to a six year old, I feel so bad for teachers these days, I am trying to raise a functioning non-asshole of a human being and it’s infuriating watching some parents just openly give zero effs.
as a teen my mother would yell at me if she saw me be rude or do that to any testers and these kids are ruining it for some teens that are nice and respectful at sephora
Isn't that the truth!
The parents aren’t there most of the time.
I wasn't allowed to go to shops alone until 13 years old. I got my dodgy makeup from our local market. 50p bargain bin lol xx only skin care was spot stuff that fried my skin.
The parents are 100% to blame because outside of Sephora, there’s a massive teacher shortage. They deal with this pretty much daily and you can’t blame them for quitting simply because they do not get paid enough to deal with them.
"Kim Kardashian, if nothing else knows how to make a nude and get nude" JOHNNY IM SCREAMING😭😭 6:55
Here's how Canadian I am, I saw a headline about that Stanley cup thing, in a news feed and thought, "Why are all these women in the States freaking out over the Stanley Cup already? First round of the playoffs doesn't even start till mid-April."
Same but I'm in the states 😂
Right? (I’m from Colorado 😅)
Me too! 😂
Ditto 😂
Lol
“She ran East” lmfao I’m screaming that was such a good and glossed over joke 😂
Agreed 😂😂
I’ve worked in cosmetics for 30 years.. my granddaughter is 13 and bothering me to take her to Sephora. She wanted the Drunk Elephant etc… I got her a wonderful associate who really clicked with her and off they went. She felt comfortable talking with this associate and they spent 30 minutes laughing and putting things in her shopping bag. My GD had a list and she got what she wanted but all things were curated for her age and activities. We paid and left and she was floating all afternoon. She had an age appropriate skin care regimen, a few cosmetics and a fragrance..
Me asking the associate to help her and let the girl give my GD good advice and education really made a difference. We went back yesterday and she immediately sought out an associate to ask if the product was safe for her and good to use with her other products WHICH SHE HAD LISTED IN HER PHONE! The education and warnings she got made an impact and I’m grateful.
Love you two!,❤️
As someone who is currently working at Sephora... the tweens invading the store is becoming such a problem that we have stopped refilling the drunk elephant moisturizers. The amount of DE "smoothies" I clean up in a day is horrid.
And when I tell these kids to "1. Use the product if you pump it out. 2. Do not make smoothies because its unsanitary. 3. If you make a mess clean it!!" THEY HAVE THE EFFING AUDACITY TO LAUGH AT ME.
It makes me feral mad and I truly wish I could ban each child that comes in and does this. AND ITS THE SAME KIDS. EVERY. GOD. DAMN. WEEK.
Thank you for talking about this. ; u ; This is making me feel so heard, especially as you are both ex-sephora employees! Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu!
Call the cops on their children for child abandonment/neglect
our sephora wouldn't let kids use testers without parental supervision and I think they should all do this
I'm 39, 80s kid. Anything that wasn't drugstore makeup and skincare was for grown folks. My parents were financially comfortable but my mother would have laughed me out the room if I would have asked for anything pricey that wasn't a need. So these parents are a 100% responsible for letting their kids run amuck. I have a 13 year old girl and its off to the drugstore for very basic and gentle skincare and very little makeup! I REFUSE to buy a $62 moisturizer for a child!
Exactly. I've been saying all over that the price point for these brands are a neon flashing sign that they are Not. For. Children. (And no momma, kiddos wanting to Fit In and Follow Trends Just Like We Did is not the clapback you think it is.)
No for real though, I will barely tolerate something that expensive for my face. No chance in this timeline I buy that for a child.
Because of Sephora kids, Gen Z is probably going to have the nicest skin out of other generations because millennials were at the tanning beds and now we have Gen Alpha melting their skin barrier with retinols (unless they were prescribed by a dermatologist) and overpriced anti aging skincare.
@@off.arretezvousx tbh, it makes me sick to think of the impending wave of kids with damaged skin, which will of course be plastered all over social media--whether by the kiddos themselves or OMG! WARNING!!!!!! in mommy groups. a redux of that The Ordinary peel being overused by teens a few years ago.
I am pretty sure I used a bar of soap to wash my face up until I was an adult working at a high-end spa. Even then, when I had access to all these fancy products, I'd still use soap from time to time...and yet, I am still alive, and I still have skin 😂
Standing ovation 👏🏻 for Johnny finally letting the world know that not all us oily girlies want thick, cakey, matte foundation!!!!!!
The guy that jumped the starbucks desk for the Stanley cup actually dropped his phone when he jumped the counter so he had to go back to get his phone😂😂😂😂
The "sephora kids" thing is directly a result of the parents. I'm in my 30s and I knew kids like this growing up, just in different ways - kids whose parents never spent time telling them no and threw money at them and they were spoiled and entitled. If I ever acted like that I would have never gotten away with it.
As an Ulta employee I knew getting Drunk Elephant was going to be a ✨nightmare✨ for this reason
I didn't know i was unconsciously waiting for johnny and kevin to talk about Sephora kids🤣
I’ve been waiting too!!! Consciously though 😅😂
I’ve been waiting for Johnny and Kevin to talk about the Sephora kids!😂
When I was in high school I had super bad acne to the point where I don't ever recall my face being smooth. I begged my parents for skincare or to go see a doctor but the only thing they did was get me this oopy-goopy oil-free Neutrogena moisturizer that I swear made it 10x worse. So with no money, no way to make it due to not having a car, I did the only thing I could - I dedicated myself to not pick or scratch at it with the hope down the line I wouldnt end up with acne scars. Now when I got to college, finally had a car and got a job I was finally able to afford one of those 3 step skincare regimen Clinique kits, and it completely went away. While I don't want kiddos ruining testers or buying retinol, I hope this doesn't give parents who don't believe in skincare or don't believe their child's acne that's clearly causing them pain another excuse to not have them go see a dermatologist or a doctor because it's a "tiktok trend"
It's sad to see kids this young buying stuff from Sephora that they DON'T even NEED!! And then waste it because they don't know what they're doing with it!
Tiktok postings have a LOT to do with it. Ugh!
@@patkern185 I so agree with you. I wish they would ban Tiktok. It's part of the dumbing down of our society.
Kids are growing up too fast because they’re getting exposed to social media way too soon. When I was a child I was collecting beanie babies and stuffed animals and I still collect them today 💀 these kids should be doing that and not ransacking the local Sephora trying to buy anti aging products meant for 20 year olds
It’s worse, because it can actually damage their skin as the ingredients are not for skin that young
@@patkern185 It's their parents letting them watch and be a part of TikTok and other social media that is the issue. Most social media platforms, including TikTok have a 13 year old age minimum. That means that these parents are actively letting these kids lie about their age in order to have these accounts.
I went to a Sephora in Disney Springs just to look for some stuff for my upcoming holiday choir concert that I needed sparkly eye shadow for and as I was about to check out and a group of like 13 YOUNG girls (maybe 11 or 12) come in with NO parent supervision wearing Lululemon puffer vests and caring FULL size Stanleys. I'm a 15 year old girl, I was LOOKING, didn't touch anything except the things I was going to buy and and the girls RAN to Drunk Elephant section and RUINED the testers. They would run past me in the store and the employees were having NONE of it. I was in a boot due to an ankle injury and they knocked me down. The employees handled it EXTREAMLY* they immediately helped me up and kicked out every last one of the girls which of course threw a fit about getting kicked out for just looking around.
So my husband thinks I'm completely insane because I'm 'talking to you' during this entire video, yelling things like "Hell yeah!" and smacking the table while nodding my head... all why trying to do my makeup. Needless to say, your video today really spoke to me. Now I need wine. 😂
It's my dog staring at me while I tell the TV that the new KK eyeshadow palette looks like a Stila palette circa 2015! 😂
@@thedarkeststar76 - OMG! It really does! At least your dog won't try to have you committed. My husband... I think he's contemplating it. 😂
You are soooo my people. Lol!!!! ❤
We all do it
I had a “hope for the future” moment at Ulta recently and I thought I would spread the love. There was a mother shopping for herself at Ulta and she had her 2 daughters with her. If they weren’t 12 year old fraternal twins they couldn’t have been more than a year apart in age and she told them that they could each pick out one thing and they both made a b-line for the Crème Shop end cap and picked out some Hello Kitty lip balm. After that, I could almost get passed the fact that they had to take the Drunk Elephant testers away and only offered them for buy online, pick up in store.
As a parent and former home daycare provider…I would never tolerate this sort of behaviour in any child…disgusting🤬. You both look stunning, by the way🥰
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Your rant about kids followed by Kevin's "werk" is the best thing I've seen in ages. You're 100% correct it's the parents' fault. I went to an ulta recently and left because the colourpop had been ransacked by (I hope) children. It was disgusting. As a parent and consumer and former retail employee, it pisses me off no end. PUT EM ON A LEASH.
Could not agree more!
I would NEVER have let my children behave like that!! Also , who is dropping their 10 year old at the mall and leaving them?!🤦🏼♀️
It's been happening since the 80s when my parents dropped me off. The difference is that I expected a leather belt if I misbehaved. I was never hit. I was always good, but I feared the strap.
It's because we had eos, hand sanitizers, and scented erasers. Now the only colorful things they see on tiktok are drunk elephant 😢
My kids are 24 now, and when they were 10, I was with them the whole time, and I live in Scotland ...
@@PrairieDawnCTimes were also different back then. We were thought how to behave, no phones and no social media. If we didn't show up at the time and place our parents told us, we would get our name announced over the whole mall and then get scold when we finally showed up and didn't have a legit excuse to why we were late. Lol
I guess I was lucky enough to grow up after the physical punishment became illegal and counted as child ab*se. I'm an 80's baby in Europe btw.
I always told my kids not to touch anything when we were in stores. They were good about it. Never had a problem. They also weren't in there alone.
I was just in Sephora at kohls yesterday and saw a mother spend $200 on a 10 year old lol oh well not my money! 😂
That's ridiculous. Parents are going f*** their kids' skin up!
Christmas was like yesterday I love my kid but the only thing I'm spending 200$ on is food
😮

These "Barbara mommies" are releasing their " mini-Barbaras" out into the world. God help us all!!!!!!
Personal responsibility - that's what it all comes back to. Parents need to take responsibility for actually raising and discipining their kids, including say "no". Individuals need to take personal responsibility for what they're doing, using, buying and refusing to read and follow directions on. I truly believe that a lack of a sense of personal responsibility is one of the biggest problems in this country nowadays. And the reason they're not suing that Sephora worker for recommending something and instead of are going after the manufacturer has everything to do with money. They're looking for a big payout from i.e. Drunk Elephant and know they'll never get that kind of money from a Sephora worker. We're in the era of "hate the business and take them for all their worth". And for crying out loud, parents need to get their kids off of TikTok. It is NOT good for our youth!
WELL SAID!!!!!!!!
It's not even good for adults!
Exactly. It's their parents letting them watch and be a part of TikTok and other social media that is the issue. Most social media platforms, including TikTok have a 13 year old age minimum. Im under 15 and enjoy shopping in sephora, and i wouldn’t even be mad if sephora banned all kids under 15 at this point.
I’m cackling over Kevin making top jokes about Billy Porter 😂😂😂😂
As a parent, how do you just ignore your kids like this, or worse, letting them out without supervision of any kind. 10 yr olds disappear every other day from their own yards, never mind a popular store.
As a teacher, former teacher, I heard many stories from kids, 11-14, about parents leaving kids to go to a concert or bar, holding mom's hair while she threw up b/c drunk, taking care of siblings while parents partied, etc. Broke my heart
Am I the only one sick of seeing Kim Kardashian new makeup and product releases? I bet she doesn’t wear her own products
Agreed. This is someone who has makeup and a styling team on deck. Her neutral/nude looks are fine but are they worth a whole brand build around it??
Not in my opinion!
I'm so over nude! And I refuse to pay a premium price just because it's her!
Agreed. Very tired of the reality generation where you can be “famous" on TV only because you’re rich and you’ve done nothing worthwhile to make you famous . If the only makeup on the planet was something made by a Kardashian that would be the day I would stop wearing all make up.
Releases same lipsticks & liners…. Doubles price. Cut it out! I’ve beyond had enough of Kylie’s. Kim should stick with skims. From all I’ve heard she nailed that, now stop.
I started taking my niece to Sephora at 12 13 to start a skincare routine because she has very sensitive skin and the amazing young man that worked there set her up with an age appropriate routine. She is 22 now and still a skincare girlie. I think it’s g to start them young. I also never sent her in alone and she knew better than to be disrespectful.
The skincare person in my local Sephora is an esthetician. I'd bet a lot of them are.
There is the difference. She was taught respect. Something kids now a days are lacking. They act more entitled than respectful.
I bought my niece her first make up for Christmas in 2022 (I had permission from her parents lol). It is so much fun to talk brands with her now. We do the same thing, I take her to Sephora and I've taught her dos and don'ts. I'm going to take inspiration from you and find age appropriate skin care for her too. Isn't being an Aunt amazing??? ❤
@@jscho8674 it’s the best.
Around 13 is totally fine age to start skincare bc puberty can destroy your skin. But kids that are 10 or younger shouldn't do stuffs like that unless a legitimate doctor has prescribed it bc of some kind of skin condition. When a 9 year old kid doesn't wish for any toys and only wish for skin care and makeup, something is wrong imo.
Heck, when I was in my late 20's, I was gifted some anti-age skin care and I felt offended. I have a babyface and have never used any skincare except some acne stuffs I used a few times as well as some acne lotion under my makeup when I used makeup bc I heard it would help against foundation looking dry and cakey.
Btw I was a teen in the late 90's/early 2000's and I know makeup and skincare has changed alot since then.
Girls, when I was in high school/junior high I was wearing dream matte mouse and L’Oréal tru match (which still slays). My mom was not taking my ass to Sephora! 😂
Not the dream matter mousse😂😂
I may have had one gin too many (positively too many) and I have an ironing mountain that needs tackling before work tomorrow,, but I need to thank this glorious pair for giving me my confidence back. Thanks to Beautiful & Bothered, I use makeup brushes (not my fingers), apply my blusher properly, no longer purchase Clinique makeup, apply my concealer after my foundation, can cut a crease, and use translucent powder instead of tinted powder. Also, the LOTR references are fabulous for this Director's Cut obsessive.
Church is in people. This week's podcast will be paired with a quite nice white wine.
The two of them talking about what shade numbers they wanted from SKIM reminds me of Monica on friends SEVEN! SEVEN SEVEN LOL
Going crazy over a cup that my grandfather used to take to work😂😂😂😂😂
Right?
I worked at Sephora when makeup forever came out with the individual 100eyeshadows and we barely had enough product to make testers. Kids would come n stick their fingers in the glitter but nothing crazy. Then a boy siting in his stroller with his mom playing with the shadows took his toy truck ran them over and hit the gondola, and ruined them all. We couldn’t replace them, and we asked the mom like can u move the stroller so he’s not in arms reach he’s ruining product and she literally looked at us and said well I’m not paying for it so he’s fine. Then he took lipsticks and drew all over the gondolas and walls. My daughter used to come visit and she was young n knew don’t touch the stuff, now she’s a teen and she yelled at her friend for doing that in a store saying they aren’t ur maids and it’s not funny stop destroying the product. She told my 14yr old she was mad because her mom wouldn’t buy it for her. My kid said yeah neither will my mom because we don’t need it don’t destroy it and make a mess because ur mom doesn’t give u what u want. Her mom called me embarrassed and said she was glad my daughter said something. Teaching ur kids self control and saying no is ok. And allowing them to ruin stuff u/them should be charged for it. An accident is one thing, dropping a bottle etc. pumping and smooshing a product everywhere on a gondola is destruction of property, clean up after urself. Also our mall stopped allowing unaccompanied teens unless u worked at the mall.
The worst thing living in europe is that we have to wait WHOLE SUNDAY! to get new episode got uploaded 😂 REAL PAIN💔💔

AHHH YOU'RE THE BEST!!! 😍
Great idea! I'll rewatch on Spotify and rate, too!
As someone who was a former pre teen/ teen, I couldn't imagine asking my parents for a beauty product over $20, like I would have to figure out why I would need it, why they should I buy it for me, and I couldn't tell them it's because my friends had something because that wouldn't fly with them. Also when I was a teen we had stores marketed towards us, Wet Seal, Delia's, Charlotte Russe, Claire's, Limited too, Justice etc.
As someone who works in the beauty department at a target...these preteens/tweens come in playing in make up, writing things w/ eyeliner, putting lotion on my shelves. 🙄 its honestly the worst part of my job.
Retail employees are not child care workers. Parents have to be responsible for taking care of their children and teaching them to behave properly and respectfully. This whole issue is ridiculous. Who are these people?
I have to say - as a nurse and skincare user, there's a balance between a derm recommendation and an over the counter product. The derms are prescribing the same products that you can get in the store, just at a higher concentration. And if your concerns cannot be mitigated by using at home products, you need to see a derm, period. i see a derm, get RX retinol and acne lotions but also still use the skincare at ulta/sephora. I just know what i can use and what works well with the RX's. I totally agree with ya'll that kids should not be using any of this. If folks have severe acne (like the person mentioned), they need a derm to get that under control. Also, i agree with kevin - you MUST read the directions on the products. I have a 7 year old and I would never be ok with her using anything but a gentle cetaphil face wash.
Penelope Disick/ North West have skin care videos with Drunk Elephant. I hate going to Sephora in the afternoon/ weekends now. All the kids in the store ruining the experience for me.
I physically recoiled at the term "bron-tour." And I expected to hear the rising strains of a men's choir humming "Battle Hymn of the Republic" as Johnny's soliloquy about taking a dump on the desks of people at their jobs went into the home stretch. Another glorious episode!!
I’m a counter manager in a Canadian department store and yesterday a literal 15 year old purchased Estée Lauder advanced night repair serum 😅😅
I also had a group of girls with very fair skin playing with the deep foundations saying really gross things.
Such a fan of this podcast! Can’t wait for it each week!
I thought that since Finland doesn't have Sephora the trend wouldn't be here, I was wrong. Ended up on TikTok last night and saw a young Finnish girl who couldn't have been older than 12 using Drunk Elephant products. It was wild XD
I only know you both from this platform because I’m old. 😊 But my 12 year old recognized you from TikTok as I was watching your best of 2023 video. I came for the Barbara spoofs and I stayed for the education. 🙏🏾
11:20 throwing out those words of wisdom from years of experience ! 🙌🏻 Johnny you were BORN for this!
Jhonny, pls make a working in Sephora shorts with Barbara's pre teen kid trying out drunk elephant 😅
I work at Sephora. The parents and the kids are awful! I had a 9 yr old buy the Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray last night. She saw it on tik tok and the mom was beaming over her daughter! "She has good taste" omg! The ruin the testers or steal the product or both!
Johnny is right, We are doomed as a species with parents like this around
This is so funny because unless she is in cheer, dance, pageants, modeling or theater/acting, WHAT KINDA MAKEUP IS SHE SETTING????
Glam Gollum for the win🤣🤣🤣
I’ll say it once, and I’ll say it again: BE. A. GOD. DAMN. PARENT. TO. YOUR. KIDS!!!! I mean, if I ever, EVER acted like this in public to ANYONE I wouldn’t be allowed out of my house ever again, let alone somebody I didn’t even KNOW. I don’t think it would have ever entered my head to act this disrespectful to another human being; like, call it upbringing or basic morality, but it was always a non-option to be this snotty, and to STORE WORKERS. It’s just unbelievable. I have no words.
RAN WHEN I GOT THE NOTIFICATION this podcast is my everything
It doesn't feel like Sunday without a B&B podcast. It's snowing heavy here... having your show on while making stew enhances the whole vibe to be so much more cozy. Love laughing at the sephora kids while chopping veggies. (Also, now I finally know why refills for my protini face cream are always out of stock!!)
Ughhh 10-year-old skin does not need mature skin products ffs. These kids need to go to the body shop/ bath & body works like us millennials did as tweens and leave the products made for adult skin alone. And if the Gen Alpha kids can't behave in public or trash stores, then bring back the age minimum to shop in person at certain stores again.
Consequences for being a little sh*t if their parents won't parent.
Keep the hour+ episodes coming; the length is great!!
If you ever make vlogs you have to call them "Beautiful And Bothered In The Field".
Also the way Johnny slowly lost whatever shred of faith in humanity he had left when Kevin told him about the Target-exclusive Stanleys was kinda hilarious.
I remember going into ulta with my friends when i was 16 and i was always terrified to even swatch products or talk to the workers. 😂 Im in my 20s now and i do love makeup and skincare. And i love to see the younger generation enjoy it too, but the parents have to teach them respect and how to act in public. Such a great episode ❤❤
Went to Sephora about a week before Christmas. I seen this little girl. She was probably about 9 years old and she had already had a full face of makeup already on. This girl was showing another girl. Probably the same age. What product we're best for her skin. It wasn't even an hour after I saw them at Sephora. I turned around and saw them in Ulta beauty!
Making their ROUNDS! lol
Infinite amounts of $$$ apparently to go blow or just wandering the stores in gangs of 6 trashing every product they touch, running in stores rudely knocking into to people while dressed in their underwear the tit-bra tops. It’s horrifying
I would listen to a full podcast episode just about you and Kevin discussing the best pale, cool-toned, p0rn star nude lip products and I’m not even kidding 😂 that’s been my main makeup obsession since like 2005 and I’ve never had anyone to share it with!! lol
Kevin: Somebody tried to take him down
Johnny: Hot
This is the only commentary about Stanley I want to hear.
I screamed when I saw this episodes title! I needed people with actual experience and knowledge of working at Sephora to talk about this! Amazing episode as always!
I've been to Sephora twice in the past week because I have the memory of a goldfish. The first time was on a Saturday and lord help me there was a group of a dozen 10 year olds with two adult women absolutely terrorizing the store. It was insane. And then when I was in the checkout line I saw a mom PUT TESTER MAKEUP directly on her child's face! One of the milk lip and cheek sticks, and A MASCARA. Girl, you're gonna give your daughter pink eye! Second time was a Monday, no kids!
Geez I wonder if she thought about amount of germs or bacteria that is on that *used* make-up before applying it on that child's face.
All I'm saying is...Big Dumb Cups skit on SNL. 😂
I think part of the Sephora kids issue is that they're are no spaces for teens anymore especially teen girls. I remember seeing commercials for kid make up or sparkle hair clips and pixel chix. Anything a teen girl like is made fun of and considered cringe. And since no one really uses cable anymore even if there is something catering to teen girls they won't see it since ads are personalized.
My local Tulsa no longer have testers out for DE. One now has security .
Sephora and Ulta need to start kicking out tw/webs who are just being destructive in
I'm 14 years old and I love makeup and skincare now I think it is absolutely disgusting how the leave it , but I also think their isn't enough spaces for tweens and teenagers all their is , is TikTok where little girls can't see how beautiful they are they see all these beauty influences shoving lies down their throats and there's nothing wrong with skincare or makeup but DO👏YOUR👏 RESEARCH 👏 who cars if you aren't "aesthetic" or "trendy" take care of yourself and be your own person
I didn't even know what sephora was until I was in my late teens! I feel so bad for the workers having to deal with those kids!! I was waiting for you two to talk about this because I knew it would make such a good episode!
The honesty on this channel🙌

I am crylaughing at the BLLLONZER reaction 😂
26:40 parents should be made to pay for what they are allowing them to do. Ulta and Sephora should keep these kids as if they stole. It's hundreds of dollars worth of product. Tester or not to waste an entire container. Mama just bought that tester and can eat the cost!
I have Peach Perfect and Dusty Rose of the ELF blushes and they are actually beautiful. I know the peach perfect one looks uber light in the pic but it's beautiful and I'm about the same as Johnny in skin tone.

I would love for you all to speak on sunscreens and how they do or do not work with different foundation formulas. I'm so curious to know what you both use. Your foundation goes on so beautifully.
When the new Rare Beauty self care collection came out, my partner and i went to go try their products, and they broke EVERY product and they were weirdly grossly sticky, so once my partner looked at me and said "babe....its sticky..." i pulled my hands back SO fast😂😂😂 i was not about to touch them😂😂😂
Um... "chitlins" are a 'food', specifically the large intestines of usually pigs, but can also be from a cow. So.... LOL!
Oh lord… I teach middle school music… I like a big cup for water so I don’t have to refill it too often. I’m teaching a chorus rehearsal and one of my girls goes “is that a Stanley?!” Pointing to the water cup I got because it had the Grinch on it and it was Christmas time. I looked at her and went “huh?” It was like $25 from a boutique and had a handle, and I had no idea what a Stanley was.
That said I did let the middle schoolers convince me to try crocs. They are comfy, I stand by that one 😂 Right now they dress the same way people were dressing when I was in middle/high school so I find that absolutely hilarious.
These eye looks are everything
I don’t understand the Sephora kids, nor do I understand the parents. I mean first off if you’re taking your young child into Sephora, why are you not paying attention to what they’re doing as far as letting them make disgusting gloppy messes and not doing anything about it. my children are still babies that only 3 1/2 and one month old but I swear on everything if they did that shit they would be made to clean it up apologize to the store workers and they would never be back but also I wouldn’t bring my child that Young into a Sephora in the first place. And a better note I look forward to these every week you two are my favorite.❤❤❤❤
I completely agree with your Ted Talk, Johnny. A friend gave me a Stanley Cup for Christmas. Before giving it to me, she asked if I had a SC. I asked her "the hockey trophy?". Lol! I have never followed trends or purchased something for the name brand label. People are so easily swayed. They need to think a bit more.
I feel like skin care is a lot like video games right now. I mean this in the way that a lot of parents may not know what the products actually do and have been fed skin care is self care and so all skin care is good. Which just reminds me of how in the early 00's a lot of parents would buy whatever game without understanding the rating system and kids ended up with really age inappropriate games. Obviously, this doesn't remove responsibility I'm just noting the similarities.
Went into my local Sephora last week and almost all of the Drunk Elephant testers were down minus two near the front of the store (which were disgusting). Literally every other skin care brand had testers out except for Drunk Elephant. Furthermore I saw ten year olds and teenagers in there. I felt OLD 😂 I’M 20
I tell my little girl all the time not to touch what we're not going to buy. She's only 3 but she already loves mummy's face creams and make-up. If she ever did anything like that in a shop I'd take her back, make her clean up her mess and apologise. There is no excuse for allowing behaviour like that. Great video as always you guys look amazing ❤❤
“Give me a 5, give me 15” for the Skkn’s line is like Monica teaching chandler erogenous zones 😂
The Stanley Quenchers started with a suburban mom influencers. Stanley had released the Quencher line in their traditional colors in 2016. Three moms run on online shopping blog called The Buy Guide. One of the women that runs The Buy Guide found the cup and it became a recommended product on the blog. There was a rumor in 2019 the Quencher was going to be discontinued and the blog posted that people needed to buy the cup now before it was discontinued. The bloggers got in touch with Stanley asking them to not discontinue the item. At this time Stanley had not been working with influencers. Their eyes were opened to the power of working with affiliates. Around the same time the leadership at Stanley changed. An executive formerly at Crocs started working at Stanley. Through the relationship with the influencers and new leadership, it became clear that offering the product in more colors (pastels, bright colors) could increase market share. Stanley has had 2 collars with Starbucks, the first in the fall of 2023 and the more recent collab with the pink and red cups. I think the primary appeal is it’s a large cup that will fit in a car cup holder.
Correcto. The blood red Starbucks Stanley for November and Starbucks's red cup day, and the sparkly pink one exclusive to target starbucks stores.
I went to Boots in UK to get a new Drunk Elephant lip balm and the Whipped whatever the product is called, and the girl working that brand told me that there was a trend of stealing the products, so there was a national shortage 😅 My sister told me when she used to work in a cruise ship spa, customers would come in with like a plastic sandwich bag on their hand and just scoop out handfuls of the tester products to take home.. Don’t they have ANY shame!?
I also visited a Sephora in Sweden last summer and there were two girls in front of me in the queue, about 12-13 years old. One goes to the other “I have set a goal for myself to never spend less than 1000kr (around $100) every time I go to Sephora.” And I’m thinking “in THIS economy? Girl what tax bracket are your parents in?” 😂😂
Omg yessss I’m from CT and the same thing happened to me!! I looked a little crusty and realized it’s 18 degrees out and I’m Puerto Rican so my skin made for the tropics is probably not loving this weather! 😂
When I first read your post, I thought it said you were from Charlotte Tilbury 😅, then I thought, no it’s the other CT, Connecticut 😅
Ok-bye. 😂 See you Thursday!
OMG! I know who your matching outfits remind me of!!! 😅Johnny and Kevin are the Hans and Franz of beauty!! 😂🎉😂🎉❤❤
Kevin: this gets under my skin
Me...but does it get under your open sores
Lmfao. I'll see myself out.
The elf blushes are amazing!
No shimmer.
Pigmented AF
Please do a review 🙏🏻❤️
Hi! I have two tweens here! Im an aunt.
Alot of it is tiktok combined with passive parenting. Letting them in there being disrespectful and not regulating the tiktok.
The difference is that social media…the ads. U only had them on billboard, tv or when you went out of the house. Whereas its gotten into the phones and Computers that are in your pocket nonstop.
I notice two things….we are mad when tweens fall into these trends looking at social media but grown people are standing in line pvernight for Standly cups from the same source. We are being thrown constant advertising 24/7.
Celebrities kids or kid influencer and celebrities that attract those young crowds.
OBSESSED WITH EVERY EPISODE COMING OUT ! THANK YOU FOR BEING ENTERTAINING AND TRULY THE BEST DUO OUT THERE❤️❤️❤️
I look forward to this every Sunday, love y’all!!
I was at ulta one day and this lady was asking the person who worked there to match her (looked about 7yr old) daughter to a foundation. The worker asked does she want matte, glowy, full coverage, light coverage ect. the mom literally said " I don't know, just whatever she needs". I about lost my mind. LADY SHE DOESN'T NEED ANY OF IT! wtf are you doing???? I am all for kids playing with makeup but this is getting crazy
Not Johnny and Kevin flicking their beans 🤣🤣
I love this pod. I love you guys. I dont have kids. I am a social worker. I think because you dont consume a lot of social media because you are a content creator, you dont see the INSANE amount of influencers touting all of this trendy stuff. I DONT think that most of those influencers are targeting younger audiences on purpose, but Gen Alpha was literally born with a cell phone in their hand. The amount of stuff they are exposed to is mind boggling compared to what I (millenial) was exposed to on say MTV or in magazines or on MySpace or FB (back in the day). Kids are literally getting bullied for not having Stanley's in school. The pressure these kids have to match trends is insanity. I do agree that no parent should be letting their under 13 year old run around the mall unsupervised. And I am wondering if this is all going to lead to Sephora, Ulta, etc. requiring adults to accompany any minors of a certain age into stores. Love all of this and love that you are talking about this issue. ❤
Does anybody else watch Beautiful and bothered more than once...? Mainly because you miss bits because you are laughing too much 😂😂🎉🎉🎉
5th grade teacher, here. It's baaaaaad. The skincare, the Stanley's, the Lululemon, the literal babies smelling like Bum Bum Cream. It's just too much. And none of these kids know their damn math facts.
The thing with kids makes me so mad. When i was working for Lancome 20 odd years ago we had the occasional kid that would come in and mess up the lipsticks but one sharp look from me and they'd go running. Nowadays kids have no fear and no respect for people or things so do whatever they want. I think its the lack of consequences. My mum would have made me buy anything i ruined out of my own money had i dared to do that.
Thank you both for addressing this issue. I was in my hometown Sephora at Christmas and the store was wall to wall preteens! I wanted to look around because the Sephora where I live now was a small store inside Penney's that is now no longer. As a senior adult, I could not even get to some of the bays and the testers were gross! I, too, like Casey wants to know why weren't they in school? But you know as well as I do if they try to age restrict their stores, here come the lawsuits...
The Elf blushes are great! They are soooo pigmented and rival Rare Beauty and wear well.
Please let Kevin know Walmart has a pink knockoff Stanley for 20.00 by Paris Hilton!💋
