fun fact: at 2:00 he is in front of a café named "inncafe hell". Hell means bright in german, but it got renamed anyway to "Inncafe Kufstein". Kufstein is a town in Tyrol. Therefore this is not japanese/german but rather japanese/austrian collaberation.
In german we don't refer to girls as chicks or chicken, our equivalent would be "hase" (=rabbit). i doubt it has a second meaning, it seems like a typical funny pop/folk song."bibi hendl" is just what ones grandma from the farm would say (at least in austria or bavaria) and is funny enough on it's own. But I am also bad at reading between the lines so who knows ;-)
Actually in german people called girls "Hühner" or still do but it seems to be more rare. Mostly applied to groups of girls and not in singular. So maybe there is a correlation but i dont think so.
True but a "bibi hendl" is definitely no term for a girl, especially not like the english use of "chick". I personally heard it referring to a girl only in a negative context like "dummes Huhn" (lit. dumb chicken) or "Henne" (hen) when a girl talks a lot (nonsense). But as i said it's highly doubtful that this is meant in this song. (Never thought i would have such an interesting conversation about this song :-))

fun fact: at 2:00 he is in front of a café named "inncafe hell". Hell means bright in german, but it got renamed anyway to "Inncafe Kufstein". Kufstein is a town in Tyrol. Therefore this is not japanese/german but rather japanese/austrian collaberation.

In german we don't refer to girls as chicks or chicken, our equivalent would be "hase" (=rabbit). i doubt it has a second meaning, it seems like a typical funny pop/folk song."bibi hendl" is just what ones grandma from the farm would say (at least in austria or bavaria) and is funny enough on it's own.
But I am also bad at reading between the lines so who knows ;-)
Actually in german people called girls "Hühner" or still do but it seems to be more rare.
Mostly applied to groups of girls and not in singular.
So maybe there is a correlation but i dont think so.
True but a "bibi hendl" is definitely no term for a girl, especially not like the english use of "chick".
I personally heard it referring to a girl only in a negative context like "dummes Huhn" (lit. dumb chicken) or "Henne" (hen) when a girl talks a lot (nonsense). But as i said it's highly doubtful that this is meant in this song. (Never thought i would have such an interesting conversation about this song :-))
