- This iphone 6 S Plus was dropped for a few seconds in a toilet, after drying it, it actually started to work fine for a few days and then the screen started to show these vertical lines.
This is exactly what happend to me thank you for this
Happy to help 👍
My son dropped his iPhone 8 in the yard. We found it 12 hours later after it rained and had ice on it was in a case but case had a crack. I am seasoned at fixing iPhones and iPads. Anyway dried it out opening it up and all and waited days. So now I put it all back together and the middle of the screen in one section has fading and lines. I was gonna try a soft reset and hook it up to my Mac and update and restore and say a prayer hoping I don’t need a screen replacement.
Happy to hear 👍
this happened to me too. dropped my phone and cracked the screen maybe a week ago but everything still worked fine. today it fell out of my pocket on my bike ride and this has been happening ever since. thanks for the help :)
Happy to help 👍. I wish every cell phone would be designed like that... So easy to replace the screen and battery - almost no glue.
Literally same happened to me, dropped my phone in the toilet maybe 2 weeks ago, retrieved it quickly and it worked fine, dropped it last night before going to bed and when I woke up it encountered a problem similar to this, vertical lines covering my screen, phones still responsive though.
Crazy!...Glad it still response. My friend's IPhone was just showing the lines and no responding.
So your like me and stuck your hand in the toilet not caring 😂
@@TroyChar11 Absolutely 😂 I had just flushed so 😂. I’d look into getting a new phone if i recall correctly mine went to shit a few days after I wrote that comment lol.
How did you fix it
Where can I get the tools to do this ?
Amazon have good sets for phone repairs.
I drop my phone (iphone 11) last week unto the water I just open it and remove the water that enters the phone and it went well for about 1 week and then I woke up yesterday with so many lines appears on my phone, but it is still touchable i can still access everything within my phone, the problem is just the lines. should I replace a new screen? or is there anythinhg we can do with it? I will wait for your answer, thank you very much ..
Replace the screen. Most likely that's the issue with the lines. Happy to help 👍
I put my iphone 11 face down for 30mins on the counter without knowing there were a bit of water already on the counter. After that, there was a darker spot on the bottom of my screen but everything worked and I put it aside to dry. Later, it glitched and the screen turned completely black, but I could still hear the vibration/alarm. 2 days after, it's not longer responsive, and when I try to turn it off (press the volume down and power button) lines are showing in the middle of my screen but it won't respond/vibrate.
I ordered a new screen to replace it, do you think it'll work after the screen replacement?
It should work.
@@kaimanson3174 Thank you for your reply.
I installed a new screen and everything works perfectly fine thank you so much!!
@@jadekamsing7322 awesome 👍 happy to help
so the same thing happened to me but i had an android phone lg k8 2017. so basically all i have to do is replace the screen am i right?
If the issue is with the screen most likely a replacement would fix it.
I know you posted this a while ago but I have a question. I woke up yesterday and found my phone like this, and it still gives notifications, but anyways I didn’t do anything to it. I wonder why this happened???
Have you dropped the phone by any chance?. Sometimes these electronics can go rogue without any reason (defective).
Well I got it repaired 2-3 months ago due to dropping, and they replaced the whole screen. Is that an after effect?
@@zandersingh8239 it shouldn't. Take it back to the place, it could be a defective screen.
Could you please tell the price for this service
Actually I did for a friend, so he bought the part for about $32. I believe if you take it to a repair shop, it could cost you about $250, maybe less.
@Devin Sanchez when do the line issue started?
@Devin Sanchez most likely is the digitalizer and check the battery as well.
@@kaimanson3174 I'm currently having the same problem as Devin (dropped my phone and the lines started appearing). If it's a digitizer problem, do I need to completely replace the screen or is there any cheaper way to do it? I brought the phone to the repair store and they said I need to replace the whole screen but I just want a second opinion and make sure there's no other way to fix it other than replacing the screen as it costs so much to replace it. Thanks a lot.
@@leiahart replace the whole screen...is faster and a lot easier.
I currently dropped my phone and it has lines on it like half of the screen It only lets me press the top but not the bottom
Maybe half of the digitalizer got dislodge when it was dropped.
@@kaimanson3174 ohhh do you know how much it would cost to repair?
@@justinm_1996 I actually did it for a friend of mine. Didn't charge him anything. The part can be bought on ebay it is pretty cheap, and the replacement process is easy on this model in specific (just follow the video).
@@kaimanson3174 Okay thanks a lot man I appreciate it
@@justinm_1996 no problem, any question let me know.
See my phone is 2 months old. In an otter box. And I didn’t even drop it. My phone screen just glitches for some reason. And i don’t want to break it even more.
Could be a bad screen. Sometimes these electronics go bad without any reason.
Mine has lines and my phone still kinda works but I don’t know what to do because I dipped it last night when I was out in the ground and when I picked up my phone it had lines on it
Dropped*
Most likely the screen need to be replaced. U can remove it and reconnect it and see if u notice any different.
@@kaimanson3174 thank u so much I’ll definitely try that!

This happened to me I dropped my phone in the bathroom a couple weeks ago then yesterday it fell in the pool and it was just fine till today in the afternoon when it fell at the beach
U got a keeper there....beach water is rough on electronics.
Why is this so relatable 😂😂
Main point of contact. 😂
It happened to me just now and my phone off by itself sometimes
I'm scared to do this.
Go for it, the process is pretty simple... specially on this device.
Is it safe to do this if u have cracks
Sure, just be careful if a piece of glass comes loose. Most of the time it will stay attached to the frame...but u never know.
iphone 4 plz
Usually I fix phones for friends and stuff ....no one has provided me with a 4 yet.
My mum's phone looks like a horror game
LoL ..try replacing the screen.
Bro is there any other solution to stop this
Replace the screen and u should be good to go.
@@kaimanson3174 I have already done this but after 15 days it become like that again can u replay to this
Could be something wrong with the main board that is messing the new screen.
this looks too scary to do
It is not that bad....if all phones were like that =D
@@kaimanson3174 I managed to fix it!!!
@@charlienger awesome!! Good to hear.
@@charlienger howw did u fix it??!
Does this work on iPad ?
Can't comment on that. Most of the time they share the same design. Look for your model and look for some videos.
Thank You !

Bro my phone was drop in water and there are coming horizontal lines from 1 month i am trying but no solution😭
Replace the screen and u should be good to go.
Bro i have no money now. Any other solutions?
@@hatakekakashi212 u can try to open it up and reinstall the screen and see if that makes a difference. www.ebay.com/itm/iPhone-8-7-6s-6-SE-5s-5C-5-Plus-LCD-Display-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-Replacement-/352218603356?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
