Mppt and pwd are one way other more efficient, it depends on particular situation, battery lvl, solar power. I have read that the newest one il will have, or allready are havin both capabilities and will swich one or another to get the best from solar.

MPPT it's definitely more efficient but it all depends on solar array size and the price difference
