Fantastic Lubin, fished lake burbury a few times, we ended up having success with a simsons mudeye , casting 3ft in front and a slow strip in front of them. Had a ball .

What's the link where we can buy the flies? All your fly fishing videos are the best!

    Great work man.
It's terrific to see someone in Tassie, who is not killing every fish they catch.
(edit) It's not quite that bad, but lately, it appears to me that there's an awful lot of killing going on. Everywhere I go, I'm seeing photographs of dead fish.

Great vid Lubin ! Mate they love a size 6 Cubit Mudeye in low light, switch to a size 8 Cubit when the light brightens a bit.Another bloke I know uses a fly called a Rough Head, tied on a size 4 hook with a body made from a cut and sanded down gill net float with a deer hair head!! If they wont take the floating mudeye we use a size 10 green nymph with 30 pound pretest game fishing mono eyes( burnt to form dumbells)

@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 Lubin tie the Cubits on heavy wet fly hooks, as Leon Cubit designed them as the heavier hook, sits the fly in the surface better, the Deer head isnt spun on either, a small bunch of hair is just tied in and then clipped to form a flat head with a deer hair tips either side to represent legs. The pretest mono for the dumbell eyes on the Green nymph are from the fluro green pretest, it really is a trigger point in that dark Burbury water.

Have to say came from England to fish 10 or so years ago my Guide was Bill Beck I was aghast at how many fish were killed the odd thing was Bills comment was a few years ago you caught a lot of 4 lb fish not so many now he said my thoughts well you have killed them !!!

Does this mean that little fish don’t grow into big fish? You’d do well to kill all the decent size fish in Tassie. One of the reasons there aren’t so many big fish around in some places is the food isn’t as plentiful as it once was

Fished lake Burberry when it opened lots and lots of bigger fish due to Lots of rotting vegetation mud eyes everywhere ect….sound familiar. If you love to eat fish eat them!!! Just never ever waste them and kill them humanely…your saving the planet these days because your not eating red meat Ha😀
