Some additional info: the ARC Caldas did a failed depth charge attack to an U-Boat and the USA asked us to deliver a regiment to help in the pacific, expected to be ready at middle September, 1945 but the war ended before the training was ready. That regiment will be the base of the Colombian Battalion which fought in Korea.
