- WALKER, a reimagining of the long-running series “Walker, Texas Ranger,” stars Jared Padalecki (“Supernatural”) as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.
He’ll attempt to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son (Kale Culley, “Me, Myself and I”) and his headstrong, somewhat rebellious teenaged daughter (Violet Brinson, “Sharp Objects”) and navigate clashes with his family - an ADA brother (Keegan Allen, “Pretty Little Liars”) who stepped in during Walker’s absence, his perceptive mother (Molly Hagen, “Herman’s Head”) and his traditional rancher father (Mitch Pileggi, “The X-Files”).
Walker’s former colleague is now his Ranger Captain, (Coby Bell, “The Game”).
Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner (one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history) played by Lindsey Morgan (“The 100”), while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
The show also stars Jeff Pierre as Trey Barnett.
WALKER is written and executive produced by Anna Fricke (“Being Human,” “Valor”), and executive produced by Dan Lin and Lindsay Liberatore and Jared Padalecki.

Looks great!!! I know some people rolled their eyes when they found out Jared's wife Gen would be playing Walkers wife and trust me I get it. BUT with covid it made sense.
Why did they roll their eyes?

Remember in season 6, that time Sam and Dean traveled back in time to get Phoenix ashes? Dean named Sam, "Walker" and said that "Walker"was a Texas Ranger

@@everybody1211, I feel you, hun. But it can also grow back. I doubt it will ever be Sam Winchester long (trust me, that hurts my heart, too) but at least he didn’t chop it all off. He’s still got some length.

Look, i will probably watch it eventually, and he doesn't look like sam and that's great, but right now even half a second of him driving a freaking car hurts me so I think I'll wait.

Why is Sam dressed like a cowboy?
This will fail, because Jared Padalecki made little attempts to break out with a new look apart from the cowboy hat. He should have gone grey with a flat-top crew cut and goatee along with a thick Texas accent. Think Carroll O'Connor going from Archie Bunker to Police Chief Bill Gillespie.
This is just Sam Winchester without Dean.

I don’t think this is meant to copy the original, you can’t copy originals so this is gonna be different and if you don’t like it then don’t watch it I’m only gonna be watching 1 or 2 episodes and if I like it I’ll continue.

Anyone with doubts, do you believe that a major network would create something other than successful for an actor that has been with them for a couple of decades? They know Jared's popularity and following and they want to keep it. Knock on wood this will be awesome.
I wasnt sure if this is real or just some show that was made up for some supernatural stuff.
I hope I like this show.

@@traceew3580 what made the original Walker Texas ranger iconic was the martial arts action stunts that Chuck Norris and the cast performed. I wish it was something deeper than that but no. I've been watching Jared padalecki on supernatural for some time and I have yet to see him do a high kick. They need a martial arts coordinator on this show if they want it to work but from the looks of this trailer it's too late.
@@androssteague I'm sorry but you figured out that it's NEVER gonna happen based on a 30 seconds teaser? Also the reboot isn't a continuation of previous series, it's a whole new take with modern issues. They've already talked/consulted with Chuck Norris before hand about all the how's and all the why's and the entire production has his blessings.
@@dee2015 nobody watched the original Texas rangers show because of its groundbreaking acting performances. They have Chuck Norris's blessing because there's a royalty paycheck behind it. I'm sure that's going to be a bunch of fist fights here and there the same as it was in supernatural. But these actors are not going to do stylized martial art fighting... Ya know, the one thing that made the original popular. I'm pretty sure the actors are incapable. I know Padalecki is.
@@androssteague again you jumped to a conclusion that those kicks are never gonna happen based on a 30 seconds teaser. I'd prefer if you didn't bring actors into this equation, especially Padalecki. He is more than capable of doing any and every challenges that are thrown his way. I assume you're familiar with a little show called supernatural (yeah only went for 15yrs) the actor who has portrayed many variations of his character and not to forget the subtle reactions he added based on the history of trauma to his character and every single portrayal of those characters are different in every single way.
