@@chichiboki6563 yeah they are the chain is what gets the rotationnal travel from the pedal to the wheel which makes the wheel spin and the transmission is what transfers the travel created by the engine to the driveshaft and to the axels which spins the wheels and makes the car move
@@chichiboki6563 transmission connects the engine (pedals) to the wheels (rear wheel)... It's a perfect metaphor. The chain is literally the transmission for a bicycle.

I rode chainless for a few months because the threads on my sprocket bolt stripped out and I was piss poor and couldn’t afford replacement cranks. This was before freecoasters became popular so I was excited to try fakie tricks. Chainless was really fun era in my riding. Shout out to def Paul for the inspiration.

Exactly the same reason i removed my roof, i had a lamp that simply wouldn’t fit and instead of shortening the lamp i took my whole roof off, it lets in more fresh air and is naturally more nice! My lamp successfully fits now…

The story is actually really interesting because you’re not using your bike for travelling you’re using your bike tricks and use it as a BMX bike, but it cannot generate its own momentum. Basically completely challenged the concept of a bike I like that

With bunny hop 540s, crouch low then explode while throwing your head and shoulders. It’s all one movement. You weren’t crouching very low so your hop wasn’t explosive, but your spin technique was great! I struggled with that trick for years and blew out two wheels learning it.

I removed the outlet plugs from my walls. Having the exposed wires and open circuitry allows for far better electroconductivity throughout my house. I no longer need to plug cords into the wall, I just inch them closer and closer to the exposed wires until I see a spark of electricity jump to the cord. It's amazing! I'm so glad I saw this video and- hold on, I think I smell something burning... my mom must be making some food, brb! 😀😁😋

Honestly that's how I have my well pump set up, I turn it on and off in my breaker box and I just twist the pump and wall wires directly.
That way I can just grab my pump and quickly wire it in wherever it's needed

My bike has a frictionless reverse pedal, doesn’t put power so just glides freely. One day I was going to full speed and decided to kick the pedal backwards, felt that for a few days
I took my trucks off my skateboard. Now it has no wheels either, because those were attached to the trucks. So now it’s just a deck that I try to push around on, scraping on the ground.
But it’s much lighter now, so that’s good.

Actually very relatable. Everyone always asks why i use the heaviest gear exclusively on my mountain bike. Got hit by a car while I was in that gear and broke the gear change mech on the handle bar. I got so used to it since I couldn’t afford a new one. I had to pull up so aggressively on the handle bar to generate extra force down on the pedal to take off quickly that my front tire would pop off the ground. When i finally got a new bike nothing else felt right. The power of adapting to poverty 😂

I have considered this, but I still use the movement of the cranks a lot. For this reason I feel like switching over would limit what I could do.

@@william318__ The arms that hold the pedals. Without the chain on, they are just a couple extra pounds of weight. Not much difference if they stay or get taken off. It's more a preference thing. (Could affect how your shift your weight for little pushes here and there though too.)

I'll actually answer this...initially yeh you push off like a scooter I guess but once your going you can build momentum by "pumping it" you go like left to right while bending your knees and pushing out again and it produces force and you get going, you can surprisingly go pretty fast like this it's just a work out and a half on the legs haha

You know what this inspired me to take my bed off the frame. There is just so much more vertical space between me and my ceiling now I feel much more comfortable. Also I have gotten very use to how the metal slats feel on my back, I just can’t go without anymore. Inspiring
