I theorize that Squirtle actually died when uncovering Mimikyu and the events following were purgatory. Goomy representing a demon (If that wasn't obvious before hand). Trying to drag squirtle to hell. Umbreon having used the might of the floor tentacles brought Squirtle back . This seemed like a good theory but Bulbasaur walking in at the end kind of makes it weird and unlikely.
I know this is over a year late but the thing wear "mimikyu" says "so you want to do something that will kill you, which means you want to die" then squirtle saying "makes sense to me" then mimikyu saying "so you want to die" the squirtle saying "oh heavens no" reminds me of man ray and patrick.
i now fully expect a rivalry of some kind between Umbreon and Goomy, full of Umbreon just trolling the everloving hell out of Goomy whenever he tries to take Bulbasaur's and Squirtle's souls.
