- Here it finally is! This video includes horns from late 2009 onwards. This was supposed to be my 300th but the t'n't 31's and DB red 60 took the 300th video spot. Oh well, trains included in this video are various mainline steam locos e.g. Tornado, Britannia etc. Also includes a miniature steam loco at Railfest playing a Shave & a haircut on the whistle! Also includes class 20, 31's, 37's, 47's, 55, 56, 57's, 60, 66's, 67's, 70's, 73, HST's, 150's, 158's, 170's, 175's, old DMU's, Desiros, Pendolinos, Voyagers - even some with squeaky horns and tampers!
Locations include a lot from PBR (Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway), Didcot Parkway, Magor/Undy, Abergavenny, STJ, Bristol Parkway/Temple Meads, Penzance, Llangollen Railway, Bruges, Brussels, Milton Keynes, Cheddington, Talllington, York, Railfest etc.
Plus there are plenty of previously exclusive unseen clips!
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!! Авто/Мото
Hi everyone. I've recently had to remove some comments from this comments section that were rather offensive, rude and just rather immature. First of all, just for the record, I'm NOT scared when trains blast their horn. Also I just don't like it when people comment about the fact that I jump. The "horn jumps" are a bit of a trademark for me. I'm bored of people commenting about the horn jumps, it just takes away from the video itself, so please be mindful that this video features train horns, tones and whistles. If there's any more rude and offensive comments, I will remove them immediately. Thanks and please enjoy the video. HSTmiranda
Don't worry! I fall over sometimes: especially with the class 66!
JamesChannel GamingAndVlogs so do I I'm gonna upload it as I now know I'm not the only one
I don’t mind in fact I do it even when I blow the horn in the cab rides I get
HSTmiranda nearly laughed till I cried, sorry mate, so funny.
to be fair i'd nearly sh*t myself too, fab video btw x
7:44 was some train. Good catch
She certainly was going for it! Thanks :)
Will my friend's dad steam train is a tornado going at 100mph
0:29 It sounded like it said, "Hello!"
IT DOES!!! I love that!!!
I know it does
These mate are the British trains and they have their horns and whistles a lot differently than the United States and Canadian trains
@@thebrummierailenthusiasts5329 you thought we couldn’t tell?
Yeah
0:45 the miniture IS SO CUTE OMG
The Pendolino's horn at 2:03 sounds awesome
One of the trains went "meow!" like a kitty
1:08 sounds like an American whistle
Awesome vid bro! 👍😀
2:26 my favorite horn the pendolino
Great to hear the classic horn of the Class 37 again 😎👍🏽 used to be an everyday occurrence in South Wales 👍🏽
thank you for posting this it is lovely to hear the mix of steam diesel and electric
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I love Britain and their trains
THX
Thx
Same to me I love ❤️ Britan
1:04 I like 70000's whistle! sounds Australian!
1:38 I like that LNER-style Chime whistle!
1:45 is that a weathered Network Rail class 37?
2:14 sounds like a fart! So does the one at 2:50!
3:05 that crossing alarm is so loud, it's kinda hard to hear the horn!
4:02 what class is that train??
5:17 I like that whistle as well!
5:32 what's that big space for above the coupler, and between the headlights?
5:44 What's this Artemis Rail company?
6:43 that ain't British! you must've been to Continental Europe, which explains why I don't recognize the train at 4:02!
8:01 I like how the class 37 sounds (not just the horn!)
8:44 that multiple unit must be non-powered!
9:00 why is the signal head painted blue?
10:19 I like that horn!
Great Job! A lot of the horns sound pretty alike!
Hi, thanks for the comment! At 1:04 that was 71000 "Duke of Gloucester" and I agree, the whistle is epic. I think all the chime whistles have an amazing sound. The 37 at 1:45 was in the process of being repainted, not sure of the status on that one, but I think it was Mainline-liveried. 5:32 I don't know as I'm not really that much of a class 67 geek... lol! I'm not sure what Artemis are sorry. 6:43 was taken at Brussels. Yes I agree, class 37's are some of the best locos around. That signal at 9:00 was rather old and I think it already came in blue, but it's been replaced with LED signals since, and that whole scene at Didcot has been ruined through electrification. 10:19 I love that horn too, can't beat the loud blast of a class 66!
Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Sorry it's taken me ages to respond...! :)
Tornado at 09:36 is my favourite whistle
Mine too
@@crax7329 are you talking about me because I'm a tornado siren oh wait you're talking about the train never mind!!!
The gap between the headlights is where the original headlights or headcode indicator would have been.
It's funny how you move the camera when you jump ;D great video
Go to Wakefield freight depot you may catch them playing "On Ilkley Moor" with the Horns
Nothing like our manly American loco. horns.
Mate, listen to our Australian horns. Honestly, you will feel like an idiot when you hear Australian train horns.
@@matheuswolters6636 Australian and American horns are basically the same so shut up.
The Tornado flypast was magical
It was superb, really unforgettable! Glad you liked it too :)
Steam sounds the best sound 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That voyager is almost sounding a horn like a 158
Love the Western!
2:16
3:01 i like the horn class 20
I know you're Spanish, but use grammar if you are even speaking English.
Yeah
@@OffTheRailsUK if English isn’t someone’s first language, don’t expect perfect grammar. Everyone makes grammatical errors from time to time, especially people speaking in languages which were not their first.
It's nice to have some variety in train horns and whistles, over here in the states they all sound really similar.
Homer Thompson I do agree, American horns sound much more aggressive, but I still prefer the British horns. I know that the horns on some Intercity 225 units sound similar to American train horns.
To each their own for sure. I love the sheer brutality of an American / Canadian train horn :)
YLW Pyro the american/canadian horns still have variety if you listen, and you hear them echoing for miles.
Actually a lot of our horns sound different, such as the RS5T, RS3L, RS3K, K3LA, K3L, K3HL, K5LA, K5L, K5HL, K5LLA, P3, P3A, P5, P5A, etc. American train horns play musical chords I don't if these do...
Over hearer in the States, they actually mean something. In the rest of the world that seem only to be whatever the driver's whim du moment happens to be.
I like the 220 horn with the engineers on the track
Superb..splendid video..thanks for sharing mate..
0:42 miniature railway and city of Truro, never thought I'd see them together
That blue 37 is making an echo in the countryside
Fantastic video compilation :)
1:17 is my favorite part
Same.
im guessing you get frightened easily when drivers blow their horns. its fine it used to happen to me
Lovely sound dude excellent job buddy
02:57 LOVE IT!
Me i think what the horn this the best Of the horns
2:57
Great video
That is a really fantastic video Miranda, you were very lucky to capture these wonderful tones. Not even sure which is my favourite as there are a few which is too close to call for. Wow! Gotta love a bit of Tornado! 😀
Yay, a positive comment! Thanks Phil, so glad you enjoyed it 😀
@@HSTmiranda 3:03 what video was this from? I'm curious if there's a full version
Excellent video.
0:46
Shave and a haircut
@Roblox japansm the little pattern he did was the “Shave and A Haircut” tune from Roger Rabbit
I’m not making fun of it because it’s something I do to but horn jumps are awesome
Great Video
1:10 That sounds like a Nathan P2! Nice!
Excellent! Great ending :)
love it :)
Thanks! :)
Nice man very good
Thanks :)
great vid chap :)
7:05 must have been quite a loud and old loco
I believe it’s a class 27
Good
The horns of UK electric, diesel, EMU and DMU are crazy for a german guy like me
They sound so different sometimes. Some of them sound like they’re saying “Pepper!”
0:10 the trains are saying oy and aaa
What does that mean I think it might be the equivalent of having a conversation I don't know and I think I will never know
Good that modern locos maje up for in sound for what they lack in looks.
nice video! you have skme great footage it's just a shame that you jump the camera a lot when the hor ns go off, perhaps use a tripod? Still a great video though! subbed and liked
Thanks for the comment and subscribing! regarding to the tripod idea, I do use a tripod in some of the clips, and yet I still jump as I have my hands on the camera when I zoom out/pan round. But thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed the video as much as I enjoyed editing it! :)
Wow, nice tones
Thanks! 🙂
@@HSTmiranda Your welcome 👍🙂
These don’t send shivers up my spine like American trains.
Reason they uk
That’s exactly what I said!!!
Shut up he said NOT to comment these messages
you think you're cool? australia has way more RS5Ts and P5s than you ever will. you should stop going up to people and saying "your horns are weak and suck"
Class 66: time to scare you
Us: *JUMPS TO MOON*
😄😄
0:43 ilkly more bah tat
3:27 that whistle sounds so loud when that train thunders toward you
Hey HSTmiranda
Who's your favourite steam loco
I have 2
60163 tornado &
6201 princess Elizabeth
Hi! My favourite is Tornado as well :)
Same but I would chuck in 6233
(Duchess of Sutherland)
@@crax7329 Only seen 6233 once, she looks beautiful. Good choice :)
What is the title of the video at 7:44. Such an EPIC runby!

Here is the link to this video, hope you enjoy it! And yeah, Tornado was as you say EPIC! :D
Best class 37 horn at 0:57 and 1:00
1:11 the best my opinion
I wonder what class of loco it is?🤔If anyone knows reply.
my favorites along with 1:11
were
1:15
2:16
2:23
2:37
2:58
3:13 &
4:31
That's a CrossCountry class 220 Voyager. If you're talking about the loco before it, then that'll be a Freightliner class 90. Hope that helps. :)
thanks! they are probably my favorite trains especially with the variety of horns they have.
1:38 is my favorite part of a4 class whistle
lOVE THE ONE AT 01:55
I’m at Severn Tunnel Junction on Sunday for a charter, you coming? It’s at 12:59
At 4:56 that surprised me as well as the filmer!
I think what the filmer dont surprised the filmer scared for 100 and jump to the scared 9:49
We need some k5las on these!
Hell no.
6:10 it sounded like horror when a monster shark Jumpscares you and then it eats you
1:44 I like that green class 37
6:11 66 voice crack
Very nice video! Just a quick question - the clips at 1:50 and 2:42 - are those at the Pontypool and Blaenavon railway?
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, those clips are from the PBR at Furnace Siding :)
What was that one class 37 that was outside in the rain please tell me I need to know
The one at 1:57
What's the one at 0:54 or horns like those, my country uses them and i like them a lot, but i don't know what train horns they are.
0:54 is a class 57, though I don't know what horn it has, tbh it's just something I don't really study in real depth. Class 57's are taken from class 47's, if that helps.
1:34 best train whistle in Britain
Not meaning it in a bad way but if you use a try-pod. You shouldn’t get horn jump.
Another note for you:
TrainLover 106 and Azuma 800, I have removed a lot of your various responses to other people's comments as they are just rude and immature and I do not want anything like that on this video.
If you don't have any nice things to say to anyone, then don't say anything at all!!!!! If this continues, I will continue to remove your comments, and even block you from my channel.
Sorry about the rant but I needed to let off steam and make you guys aware of those 2 users.
Thanks for your attention, HSTmiranda.
659 is a BR class 42 warship
3:08 is that a repainted ie 22000 class?
7:32 Confirmed
10:26 Is that one too?
3:08 and 7:32 are both CrossCountry class 170 Turbostars, and 10:26 is an Arriva Trains Wales class 175 Coradia. There's no 22000 classes in this video as I don't live in Ireland. Hopefully this helps :)
There is a 220 at 05:08
The NI Railways 22000 Class is completely separate to 170s and 175s.
1:21 tornados old whistle 😩
high speed steam train like other high speed
@ HSTmiranda... 37421 looks half painted over at 0:37, When and where was this do you know?
This was at Furnace Siding on the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway taken on their 2010 autumn diesel gala. I haven't been to PBR for years - 37421 is now owned by Colas, I think...!
@@HSTmiranda You are right. 37421 is owned by Colas rail and its still in service. With the 37421 in this video its in i believe regional railways, EWS and Green. Do correct me if I am wrong.
@@railwayadventureswithleigh6040 Thanks for the information, that’s great to know. Yes you’re right, it was half EWS and half Regional Railways, but I think it was in the process of being painted green then. 🙂
1:09 sounds like a hawk
3:25 what engine is it? It's horn is so quiet.
Class 70, and btw you're not an idiot. TrainLover 106's comment to you was very rude so that was why I removed it. I agree, class 70 horns are very quiet, compared to a 66 or HST!
1:42
1:23 sounds like the Hogwarts Express!
It is the same loco class as HE.
2:57 HST horn
7:55 is that Filton Abbey wood
Yep it is :)
HSTmiranda haha thought so
Also the class 70 horn are so quiet
train horns of train uk
You get scared when they horn because there loud. It was funny when you shake your camera.
so? you get scared aswell.
You need some RS5T's, K5LA's, or K3LA's on these!!
R&N RailProductions tbh it would sounds badass if they had some American horns on the class 66s and 55s. we could probably use some dash 8s to replace the life expired ex British rail freight locos too.
Samuel Turp imagine a P32ACDM in that paint scheme in britain. that'd rock
@@sturp2578Nahh, US trains are too slow, large and clunky for the UK. We already have American locos on the network anyway, so we’re fine there.
Like the horn 9:01
Am I right into thinking that at 1:35 that it is penzance
Yes, it is Penzance 🙂
So, why do the horns sound different?
Because of the age of the trains and the different companies that build trains.
The RS5T would destroy all these!!!
RBMN Fan5049 that's because it's a stupid American train horn with no funky tune, just one stupid note.
BonkersDude But our horns play a whole chord. And quilling the horn makes gives it a better sound
R&N RailProductions Agreed 1,000,000%
R&N RailProductions well at least the British horns and whistles have character and don't all sound the same but with a different pitch 😂
Crossbuck Productions American train horns sound like someone with asthma choking.
what station is 2:56?
London St Pancras :)

If you're referring to the 37, that'll be at Carrog on the Llangollen Railway. If you're referring to the HST after it, that'll be at Magor :)
Whats the video at 7:16?

Class 20 Diesel Locomotive Shunter. It is used for the purposes of charter, mainly. Hope that helped.
