Apparently he's not gonna be playing this anymore b/c of lack of audience interest. It's a shame because I was actually starting to get invested after part 1 (never heard of this game before), and he hyped it up a lot! But I feel for him preferring a Telltale game that lends itself more to comedy + chat participation. At least he gave this game some exposure.
I went super psychological. I liked being able to use my imagination to solve problems, my charisma to convince people, and my perception to catch minute details that might have slipped through the cracks. Physical strength had some merits but more often than not I found little use for brute strength.
Disco Elysium is one of the best games of all time and one of my favorite games of the last 10 years. That said, this game is not nearly as entertaining to watch being played and can be downright sleep inducing at times lol.

i'm going to watch this despite also watching it live because i'm having a hard time getting it. so many like-minded people and even friends can't shut up about it and after some research i'd say i kind of get it - intellectually. but i can't feel it and i don't know why and that's not going to fly. guess it's time for me to just buy and play it myself. really take the time to read, and understand the writing beyond just poetic filler. which is unfortunately the vibe i'm getting so far. anyways thanks so much for the upload ❤❤❤
It’s a game that’s geared toward people who like to sit and ponder and reflect on things that are said and left unsaid, who like alternative history and alternative universes, but also political history.
I think the reason why you aren’t able to feel this game is because you consider the writing to be full of filler. After all, when you consider something to be pointless, it’s hard to drum up any emotions towards it. Thing is, disco elysium conveys its emotions almost entirely through its writing style so if you can’t vibe with the style, you’ll never be able to enjoy the game as an emotional experience RIP
I got stuck in this game and never finished it. Went around talking to the characters repeatedly trying to find the thread and never did. It went on so long I actually find all the voice acting grating to hear again, a year later. Disappointing, as I wanted so badly to love this game. Maybe I’ll try it again with voices off lol
There's a point where it can get hard - Titus is a big railroad point, as a hint. You have to prove your authority to him to move on. You can improve that check in a bunch of different ways by doing side quests. If you got stuck after that, second hint - cross the dam to the fishing village. I won't spoil things by going any further, but those are two parts I definitely remember getting a little lost on when I played!

one of the most misunderstood understanding of this game on RUclips. Hassan absolutely has no clue about the nuances and ingenuity of this game. Calling it similar to a telltale game and labeling it as the most socialist game is s dumb.
i agree with you that it is certainly not a telltale game, but to call this game anything but communist is incorrect. if you truly knew anything about this game you'd know exactly how it perceives communism: an undying, unwavering hope that the world will be better. that true love is perhaps possible in this world, for us--it is not too late.

But my point is that to reduce the nuances and how it deals with the depths of humanity, hope, society and philosophy isn't holistic in nature. It barely scratches the surface and in some sense isn't an apt description or understanding of the game, if it is called "the most socialist game."

It is amazing for background entertainment espacially because hasan more or less voice acts the player dialogue and the music is comfy
