Definitely some pretty cool locomotives, it's been awhile since I was interested in anything from Broadway limited. I definitely would buy a couple of them .thanks for the review.
Beautiful locos! I bought the Para4 light Pacific. It's my first dcc Locomotive and so far its beautifuly detailed and runs great!. Is it common for the sound to skip/reset on each step down in speed decrement? I've heard a couple times since this purchase to maybe get it refitted with Loksound? I'd rather not spend more money on this as it cost quite a pretty penny. Any suggestions to a fix or am I spending more on this Loco? Thanks in advance!
@@richardsugg7812 The BNSF 2919 is labeled as an EMD GP39E IRL. It was rebuilt from a GP35 for Burlington Northern and carried that designation into the BNSF Area. The GP39-3s are from Santa Fe lineage while the GP39E's, GP39M's, and GP39V's were rebuilt for BN before the merger.
hello james it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks james friends randy and i like broadway limited gp35 review dcc & paragon 4 sound cool thanks james friends randy
I’ve heard the smoke units in their steam locomotives have issues, but pretty much all of their steam locomotives have a physical off switch for it. I think there were also a lot of problems with the previous Paragon3 decoders. With that said, I have the Commodore Vanderbilt and the RF16 with Paragon4 and they work great! I think a lot of it also boils down to personal preference too. I imagine all brands have their strengths and weaknesses, BLI included. Lastly, remember at the end of the day this IS the internet/social media. You don’t know what’s motivating the person on the other side of the screen. As much as I love this community you still see a disproportionate level of pettiness compared to reality. Everyone I know in real life who uses BLI swears by them. My friends who don’t use BLI just have different preferences, and don’t really have any huge hangups with the brand.
Why do they use such blue tinted LEDs? There are so many more realistic LED colors available to match the GP35s time period. This looks like a nice model but Broadway Limited just doesn't pay attention (or care) about these small details that add to the prototype being modeled. If they didn't charge a premium for their models it would be easier to overlook.
Why does Broadway Limited believe that $399.99. You can get better models of Geeps from Athearn, and Scale Trains for almost $100 less. How is this justified?
Broadway limited really stepped up their game with these. The amount of detail is much better than some of their previous diesels
Agreed. It appears they are headed in the right direction.
@@jlwii2000 id love to see them run some GP30-2's but thats the KCS fan in me talking
@@jlwii2000 fantastic review as always James!
These are some super looking Locomotives and sound as good as they look. I love the ballast job on your track too. Looks really prototypical

Happy holidays for you an your family merry Christmas 🎄🎁 GOD bless love the video thank you
Very cool 👍🏻
I think for my birthday coming very soon I haft to get one for myself
I'm pretty much sold on these, I just wish there was an accurate K3LA for BNSF. Is there a way to program the decoder with more prototypical sounds?

For that unit number it should be labeled for BNSF as a GP39E
Nice catch!
The locomotive is labeled correctly if you look on the front side sill in the video.
That BNSF is a GP-39E, I think. Great video James, Thanks for sharing.
GP39-3, rebuilt from former Santa Fe GP35us. Nice attention to detail, with the center radiator fan removed.

Can the interior cab lights be shut off?
yes with CVs I believe. They also shut off when moving.
Hi James. Just wondering do the ditch lights alternate flashing on and off like some other's that I have seen.
no they didnt flash on the BNSF. There aren't any on the UP version.
Wondering will we get a layout update some time? Or a running video?
One layout update is already recorded and scheduled for early January.
@@jlwii2000 that's awesome news!
I’m hearing about people hating on BLI. What is the deal with that?
