The Korg site mentions something about a buffer to "minimize signal quality loss" or something like that. It's it me or is that kind of a disconcerting thing to read? Obviously it's not true bypass then, but does anyone have issues with this tuner sucking or coloring tone?
A good buffer will retain the signal rather than color it. True bypass is good and all, but too many TB pedals will also kill your signal. What a buffer does technically is converts your high impedance signal to low impedance and keeps it intact with long cable runs. So plugging into a buffer with 10' of cable with 25' following will still sound like 10' of cable rather than 35'. Some people prefer the weighted signal of a long, unbuffered chain of effects, but then there are many who like to keep their sound as close as possible to what it sounded like at first, and that is effectively what a buffer will do. Justnick does some excellent videos on buffers, and so does Empress effects. Check out their demos and you'll see what I mean. Buffers are your friend. Not your enemy.
Nice review, very very nice. Only one thing, please do not put that much reverb next time. VS has great some great pedals.
Hey man, for your test, please test a new pedal with simple-coils and humbuckers for comparaison and without reberb or another effetcts because we don't have the real sounds and possibilities of this pedal. Thanks from France. clapton83340
