    Omg I love Japanese pickles. They really go together with the meals. I try to buy some and other times I make some at home too.

      Anytime you're in Kyoto or Arashiyama, I recommend you to try some tsukemono

    I'm making these things every week and eat them daily with miso soup and rice as breakfast. It's kind of hard to make them just right.

      @@RediscoverTours Exactly, it just gives me joy every day. Here in the Netherlands we have a popular comfort food, it's salt pickled herring. It's still 'raw' but it goes so well with rice. You should give it a try!

    I'm not a big fan of Umeboshi on it's own, but a small quantity with rice (like an onigiri) tastes great
