You will find the L12/2 will have much more detail than the NAP250. This amplifiers sound is quite an old-fashioned sound, like the Quad and other amplifiers of the day. When setting up the QI watch for crossover. I found the bias needs to be on the higher side of the suggested values or crossover will dominate the distortion. But these are very low cost, easy to build and tend to work first time. I use mine as my video editing amplifier, not really good enough for real HiFi listening.

I must admit I am pleasantly surprised with the L12-2. I kinda like the quad sound and can understand why it has a following of DIYers who build them into enclosures. It's all personal preference.
Have you tried the ESP 3A project? it has a very nice sound for a DIY project.

Another amp ! Very nice. I would have liked to have heard a demo sir. 😂 I've haven't built anything for months. I'm looking forward to building something new. Its probably still be awhile before I do.
My workshop is coming together slowly.
I plastered the wall, its painted, and the shelving is up admittedly not up properly.
I want to attach it with more bolts, and add some more shelves. It looks much better now with the fresh paint and new plaster.
I'm really getting inspired to do more plastering and more painting.
I've already done another wall and plastered the joint.
Over the next few days I'll add a few more coats of bog and then paint it.
I've already got the paint picked out .
I painted one wall which is a maybe a little too dark.
The next batch is lighter by 50%.
    Let's hope it looks okay.
The workshops covered in white dust from sanding.
Its going to be pain to clean up.
Anyway hopefully I have it repainted by late next week.

This has not much to do with a Naim NAP250 because the original has a regulated powersupply. If at all, these boards are maybe comparable with a NAP90 but only if you are going to use a decent transformer and capacitors, housing, wiring etc.

Thanks for the review, I was interested in these Chinese copies out of curiosity as a Naim 180 owner. Just a side comment, isn't it Naim pronounced like name?

@rail1505 I'm not sure of the pronunciation, although now you say it, 'name' sounds like it could be right.

I built a pair of these a while back and had getting on for 100mV dc offset on the outputs. I tried matching the input transistor pairs, but couldn't really get rid of the offset. Did you measure this dc offset on yours?

I did not. Later I shall take a look at that. Cheers for the heads-up.

I measured my kit and got 1mV on one channel and 4mV on the other.
