    Oh yes, I can solve it! Obviously it has to be negative (the only way for the result to be positive), so testing the more obvious numbers "-3" was easily found ✅️ (considering only real numbers, of course)

    This is at least the second video of yours that I've seen where you have gone to extraordinary lengths to get a wrong answer to a very simple problem. To be fair, I did see one video where you did get the right answer, but again went through a dozen complicated, unnecessary steps when you essentially had the answer in the third step.
    Edit: BTW, I don't know if your answers are wrong in this video. They're just certainly not the most obvious -- or real.

      What! Before coming to a conclusion about a given answer I usually do a lot of research and there's no way my answer can be wrong 😀😀

    altenative solutions:
    One:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    use polynomial division, also called short division (why none of the math cracks on YT knows this method?)
    x³ - x² + 36 = 0 has the solution x = -3 (found by inspection as (-3)³ -(-3)² = -36)
    (x³ - x² + 36) : (x+3) = x² -4x +12
    solve x² -4x +12 = 0 by the standard method.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Second:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Factorize the polynomial x³ - x² + 36 = (x² + ax +12)*(x+3). Find the missing a by comparing left and right site after unfacorizing it.

      @@Akoremmy I'm not that fast. It took me a minute and a half (in my head). But then, I haven't had algebra since 1969.
