I love the little old restaurant owner in the first story. I've known a few women like that over the course of my life. They are a treasure to the world and should be protected.
3 cheers to the owner of the cafe who threw out the entitled rich jerk. And another 3 cheers for the manager at the hotel who not onlystood up for his employee but threw the jerk and his group out of his hotel. That's very uncommon.

Last story I would've pressed charges.He had his phone snatched out of his hand,and was dragged around.That's assault,ans stealing.

I would have, too. And I would have taken my free whatever that was and yeeted it across the parking lot. Or maybe just dropped it and stomped on it. But after the coppers showed up, so as not to be accused of shoplifting it.
I would hate to see how they treat their employees. Grabbing them, taking their property, and they did it like it was normal to assault their employees.

@@Maninawig USA or not assault & battery are similar in most countries. The minute the manager laid hands on him, he had a right to have him arrested.
At the very least a formal complaint to the corporate offices was quite necessary.
Dealing with public, I go from 0 to 100 quick when someone says "Do you know who I am?"
My response is always the same, "I don't give a damn who you are.." and down hill from there.
" Do you know who I am?" "Yes. Someone I am about to continue to ignore. 😎

Great manager in the hotel/cafe story! The last one was satisfying at the end. Would have been better had the manager and supervisor gotten let go.

She should've said " Yes, I do work at the hotel. Yes,I'm supposed to offer you hospitality. But... That hospitality DOES NOT extend to the cafe. Now, will you please stop making demands and let my husband and I enjoy our date."
That last story, I would’ve sued both the manager and their boss for assault. That shit would not fly in the US.
Very disappointed there were no charges laid in the last story.
I'm always very suspicious of stories like the last one occurring in the UK. Employment laws in the UK are such that it is pretty much impossible to fire anyone on the spot. Any employer would have to go through a set disciplinary procedure before someone is fired.
most of the time these clowns do not react intelligently when they are pissed.. and those were pretty much prima donas with ragging self entitlement and bravado.
Willing to give the benefit of the doubt, the OP mentioned getting a GTX 770 which originally came out in 2013 so this might be an older story, were the laws still the same back then?

not in virginia, right-to-work/anti-union state. you can walk away anytime, they can fire you anytime, with no reason given by anyone.

Last story.... Once Boss started dragging him and stole his phone, OP should have kicked him in the jewels, dropped him to the floor and called the cops to report being assaulted.
Pro tip: It's not the belligerent old crone you have to worry about. When the smile leaves the face of a sweet little old lady, however, phrases like 'line of fire' become very important.

I worked at retail, several different stores at different times. I was working at Murphy's Mart, a department store, as a cashier. It was my day off and I was shopping at a completely different department store called "Hills". Two women, mother and daughter, came up to me and was wanting me to find a specific item. I told them nicely that I didn't work there at this store. They both got verbally volatile with me, demanding that I was to find this item for them. These women knew me from Murphy's Mart because they shopped at Murphy's Mart,too, so they thought I should help them at Hills. I let them know nicely that they would have to go to an Hill's employee, which wore maroon vest. These women started screaming and yelling like two wild butt-heads, calling me filthy names, threatening to have my fired from Murphy's mart for not helping them at Hill's. This is when I got mad and went hillbilly on them. An actual employee brought up two managers to deal with the situation. The butthead duo told their side, so I tried to tell my side. Before i could tell my version, manager 1 started yelling at me, cussing and threatening to fire me. I went hillbilly on him and let him that I was not one of their employees but a customer. He wouldn't have it. Manager 2 stepped in and told M1l that I was not their employee. M1 still wouldn't listen and kept firing me. I just left my cart full of merchandise right there and walked off. M1 wanted to know if I was going tl purchase the merchandise. Me, "No you moron. Since I don't work here and you're firing me, then you're firing me as a customer, so I can't buy this merchandise. I walked off and M1 realised that I did not work there and he could not apologize enough. I still didn't make the purchase. The 2 women tried to get me fired from Murphy's Mart for this incident at Hill's, but it didn't happen.

1: Moral of the Story Kiddies: Never Eff with sweet little old ladies, they will own your ass with their sweet no nonsense attitude.
2: Only Karens could pull off something so stupid as trying to buy things with a STOLEN Credit Card and bitch about it when they don't get what they want. Just like a Prison sentence, hope she has a GOOD time in lock up.
3: The expression on that Manager's and Supervisor's face was priceless, bet they'll learn to thing twice before pulling that crap again. OP should have press charges against them for this stunt, but I am sure his Brother would handle it, and he did get something out of it.

i have a smart mouth and i know it.. and it tends to answer before i can grab the parking brake. ive only ever had one person say "do you know who i am ?" to which i answered, "do i look like a care ?" turned out to be the CEO of a large company...

My favorite thing to say to a entitled customer who's going off and and not letting up is in a secretly sarcastic tone " you have my humblest of apologies," it usually shits them up relatively quickly lol.

many decades ago when i had hair down to my shoulders (male), i got one of those shoulder-grabs from behind. i had just gotten an aikido yellow belt from an extremely difficult west pacific dojo, about 6 months earlier. cue an extremely stunned store supervisor on his face in an aisle full of broken ragu and prego jars. i--or rather he--had cleared all the shelves on one side of the aisle. seems i strongly resembled my sister, as skinny as me, from behind. yes, he went to the hospital, a minor shoulder dislocation, and yes i pressed charges. i didn't like the idea of some fat scum like him maybe laying hands on my sister.

i wasn't a violent person as such. i was taught to avoid it. aikido was phys therapy mostly, as i had a very bad left leg. didn't want to include feel-sorry crap.
I am a 3-times black belt in 3 different styles. A yellow belt is one step removed from being a beginner. It is why my eyebrows went up. And you said you got yours 6 months ago, apparently meaning you gave up the classes or because with your leg, very slow to move up another belt color.
Don't need a belt if Arsehat isn't expecting it. A good stout backhand would do the job!

I expect more yelling at the idiots who assault a customer and tried to fire her in the last one. The last thing people like is a know it all who can't keep their hands off others. In America it bad enough that the cops are all too eager to jump to conclusions but when people who aren't cops do it everyone they work with looks bad.

The last one was good until the race card. It's used so much that I have to question it just about every time. It's actually really sad.Like the boy who cried wolf. If you think Smollett is in the minority you're dead wrong. Had it pulled on me more times than I can count. Luckily I have a great deal of character witnesses that always come to my defense.
Racism is real, but too many Smolletts make it rather hard to figure out what is real and what isn't. That card should never be used.
That last story. I get none of that should happen. His whole “I am confused why they were acting that way” is what gets me. He even said that most people say him and his brother look-alike. How is he confused that they thought that that was his brother? Is he that stupid? Why didn’t he just say at first I don’t work here my brother does. Instead he lets it go on to where she gets mad and the store manager also think it’s his brother thinks that he is being a jerk. he should just cleared it up with the supervisor.
My guess is, he's read so many similar stories here that he knew that wouldn't work.
But, having the brother there would.
I think at least part of the reason he didn't clear it up with the supervisor was because the situation escalated so quickly. Based on the story, he thought she was joking about a dress code for customers, laughed, and then the supervisor went from 5-500 and starts shaking. She grabs him to lead him off, he removes her hand and she runs off before he could explain anything to her. So he really had no time to clear it up. Side note: People say my sister and I look alike. To me, we don't look as much alike as people say since we have different fathers and she looks just like her sister on her dad's side. However, although I acknowledge that we do have a strong resemblance, if I go to the restaurant she manages when she's off, I don't expect someone to mistake me for her. Unless the person literally calls me by her name, my first thought/response would NOT be, "Oh, you have me confused with my sister." My initial reaction would be one of confusion.
Some of these "writers", like the one in the last story are so full of shit it's cringy.
