Sorry folks i'm on Team FL/Princess. With some flimsy proof and hear say, the FIL told the couple to divorce and the ML imprisoned his wife because he couldn't let her go. The princess had to slyly escape back to the palace. They didn't really investigate, she'll actually research and find out the truth. I'm not giving any spoilers as we knew this was coming. Empress Granny severely scolded hubby..FIL should have been scolded too for instigating this misery. They enjoyed the benefits of this imperial marriage but couldn't lift a finger to help her. This is crock! Instead of trying to kill him she should have thrown a divorce decree at his head. That family needs a rude wake up call and the Emperor should have gotten involved to scare them senseless.
