Here's a protip. I find that Black Mage's throws work pretty well for the early stages of All-Star mode, you can almost always guarantee a KO after a throw even from 0%. I only tested this with Ness and Sora so I'm not sure how effective this strategy is for other characters. I KO'd more often from a throw with Black Mage than with Sora.
