Great Sunday Shave Diwas. Video began with a beautiful nostalgic account which I myself experienced in person for my siblings. And it's comparison with today's scenario is indeed commendable. 👌
I acquired OC 70 upon Subodh Sir's request 1.5 months back. And it had transitioned my wet shaving to a new level. A go through razor now, this one turned out the most forgiving instrument I ever acquired.
Also, I recently tried Pearl's L55 Close Comb. Gave me a very close but an aggressive shave. Found a significant gap between the blade and base plate. I got some razor burn outta it.
Your content is class apart Diwas. Keep up the great work. Best Wishes. 👍❤️

Also I tried the oceanic blue soap by Pink woolf it has an excellent fragrance. However, my experience was that post shave I feel there is some irritation or dryness. I am tempted to try this soap. At the same time considering the Nivea shaving gel very confused because the soap last you really long

@Diwas ji.....hats off to the example, the logic and the comparision you gave to make people understand the advantage of using Indian wet shaving using DE safety razor. With your example, even a layman like me can conclude which is better now. Thanks again for sharing this....enjoyed your shaving....keep up the good shave. Last but not least.....NEVER STOP YOUR "BAK BAK"...it really gives additional motivation to people.

I tried The open comb butterfly pearl razor and found it very irritating to shave with it because of the scratching of the cone. However, this one sounds really interesting since it has a safety bar what do you have to say?

Hi Diwas, please try a side by side comparison between Pink Woolf OC 70 and Romer 7 CS-11 (R41 Tribute). Apparently, this razor by Romer also has a safety plate similar to OC70.
Available at Rs 289 in snapdeal.

There is one feedback I want to give to all manufacturers of 2 3 piece razors. The stud on the top cap is a weak link in manufacturing in the sense it starts to corrode first. The reason this happens is because to do chrome plating, the part has to be dipped in a tank of chromic acid and I am guessing this is done by tying a wire to the stud and then lowering it into the tank. So in the portion where the wire covers the threads, the plating is not done properly or thickness is less leading to the zinc being exposed. So maybe a different method of holding the top caps during the plating process might help.

Sir, can this razor be used for beginners? I shave on a daily basis. And I'm used to the MACH 3 safety blades. So this sort of an open comb razor is a bit scary. Is it safe for beginners to use or are there better double sided razors more suitable for beginners? Please let me know. Thank you.

One thing I would like Indian companies to do is bring in modern designs. By modern I mean contemporary like Muhle Hexagon or Hone Type 15. Almost all the razors or associated products are more traditional. Like from the British Raj. It would be nice to have some variety.

Open comb has a very big advantage of not wiping away entire leather on its way, but with thisrazor it will wipe away lather like a close comb. correct me if I am wrong. though it makes it less aggressive

Sir please tell how to prepare PW soap before shaving...whether i should add little drop of watwr into the soap and then swirl the brush on soap or add water and after sometime through that water and then start swirling of brush.....because your lather is good and lathery too...but whenever i am starting lathering but lather is good but i feel dryness in skin after added little water while shaving also i feel dryness in skin.i also rinse my face in facewash before shaving

    • @DiwasShaves

PW soaps are great, but many users say that it dries there skin. I would advise you then to use a good aftershave balm after your shave, or use PW ore shave oil.

Hi Diwas, Regards. Recently I shifted to wet shaving. As a beginner I was using pink Woolf DE Razor, recently I bought Parker 55SL-RG semi slant DE Razor. Is it more agressive than pink Woolf DE Razor? cause I am getting much Nicks and cuts using Parker and afraid to use it again.

    • @DiwasShaves
      @DiwasShaves  4 года назад +1

What I think is as you are beginner then you should start with mild safety razor like gillette sterling, etc. Practice for couple of months and then go for some other good razors.

Actually I am beginner in DE Razors. I have shaving experience for twenty years, but never attracted to DE Razors, Until recently when I saw your vlog and realise the gravity of DE Razors and Wet shaving. I have thoroughly watched most of your vlogs and desided to go for a less agressive razor like Bombay Shaving Company Razor for couple of months and then switch to Parker DE Razors, as you mentioned it in one of your vlog. Anyways... Congratulations for Completing 300 Subscribers... 👍👍👍

I am shocked to see the way you shave. Doing multiple passes over same spot without lather. Thats a shortcut for irritation. Thats not a good way to shave. How it will be different from multiple blades cartridges razor. Think it.
Do short gentle passes. Never do multiple passes without lather.
