Dear Jennifer ,Thank you for your reply I appreciate it .However ,yes I know that you must put a or an in front or any noun including professionals like teacher .I am a teacher is correct and I am English as a nationality , no article in front of adjective…Now adjective and noun together.I am an English teacher so English here is an adjective describing the noun teacher …In the case where you said I am an English teacher means you are an English National and I am sure you didn’t mean to say that because you are Canadian So we need two nouns together for example I am English teacher .English as a subject for teaching not nationality.Please check again and let me know Many thanks Karem

No, that's not correct. We always use articles with professions. "I am a teacher". Here "English" just describes "teacher". And you match the article to whatever word it's beside. You ALWAYS need the article.
