- Join me on a 6 months late to upload Fall Solo Camp on my 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Part Two coming soon where I go into detail about my gear and how I pack it. Don't worry, Part Two will be posted soon. This video was getting "too long" for the YT algorithm, so I just cut it into two parts. think smarter, not harder ;-)

Couldn't agree more! I am really a homebody as it is, wherever or however that home is. I try to be social for the benefit of my very social friends, though.

Nice video, just had to laugh at the woman plugging her ears and the guy on the phone, they probably really be annoyed at my Road King's exhaust. I am planning to do my first, well technically second moto camping off my bike, have check out your next video to learn about the bag.

this was cool. I was an environmental education major in college back in the day(early 90's). I have done a lot of camping and used to have a motorcycle. haven't had a motorcycle in 20 years and never did motorcycle camping but plan to do this year when i get a bike. this was a fun video.
It was an interesting transition from backpacking to motorcycle camping. Weight versus dimensions.

Keep some dryer lint with your ferro rod, lights easy and if you throw it in a zip-lock, it will always be dry and ready to start a camp fire.
I usually do keep multiple methods of starting a fire on me, but this was a super last minute trip and I forgot a lot of stuff.

That's a great campground. I've been there enough time to recognize it. My wife and I live about 4 miles from there, and it's one of our favorites. Delaware State Park is another great place that we love to camp (and it's close). So awesome to unplug after all the weekly ratrace and just go relax outside. The bug bites are worth it. :)

If you take a couple of garlic pills for a couple of days before you go camping you won't have to use bug spray. Anything that bites mosquitoes ticks and fleas don't like the garlic and will leave you alone. I'm one of those people that will get bit up by mosquitoes while nobody else even gets touched. I always hated wearing bug spray
Plus garlic is a natural antibiotic I take it whenever I get sick

It's pretty funny you say people freak out when you are starting or riding your bike have the same thing happen to me when I'm out or about, I live in nc so I love to going to the blue ridge parkway, they have several motorcycle specific campgrounds i love it especially in the fall time when the leafs changes color

Maybe? I think I'm coming around to a lot of other motorcycles I wouldn't have ever considered before. I love my Himalayan. But I also see the value in something like a V85TT or something bigger like that.

Yep! The nice thing is that we’re closed Monday/Tuesday so my days off are also when places are relatively uncrowded!
