Dear ES, Some of the coaches of long distance swimming do state that by larger body rotation to almost vertical position, drag is reduced (fish as an example is moving in vertical position). What do you think about that?
Hi Coach. Ah I'm having hard time on minimizing the body movement. I just recently started swimming with no coach just following some guide here in youtube.
May I say the demonstrator's kicking, with fins on, is a little over bending on the knees? I mean, if he kicks with less bending knees and higher frequency, his body would be more horizontal and the breathing would be easier, right?
At 1:55 you suggest the single arm freestyle drill, pulling through with other arm, but the video seems to show the same drill as previous drill. How is the second drill performed? Are you doing the full stroke with one arm, or just the pull through? Thanks for all the videos, considering a membership
you could use me as a perfect example for over rotating. It sounds to me working on the breathing is the key to improve it. I do however struggle with those single arm breathing drills :(
I used to have suicidal thoughts but now that I've been engaged in swimming, the thought of dying frightens me cause if I die I won't be able to swim, and I'm also taking good care of my diet and overall health cause if I get a cold I won't be able to swim lol 😆
Your videos are great, I have been watching them and improved my own swimming over the last 6 months. They are gold for swimmers trying to improve.

I wonder too!
thank you this very helpful, as my son prepares for a local competition at the legon sports directorate, Ghana

Thx a lot for great lesson.

Very helpful ! I love the breathing drill with fins which is very good for balance, rotation and for breathing behind the bow wave
the front kick drill helped me a lot! thanks!
excellent video. Thank you so much for that valuable advice!

Do you need fins for this drill?
Can a beginner that started 2 months ago do this drill without fins?
Hello when u say shoulders back for the posture it s like squezzing ur scapula thx for ur answer
could you please add subtitles. thanx 4 ur very helpful videos.
better roation, better stroke and kick together, if you have better body-core power
D L do you want to say that greater rotation is better?
Please, explain why is than Adam Ocean Walker teaching side swimming as a better way to swim
Very useful
well training
Swimming makes golf look easy
Tks
1:55 - is it okay for the legs to drop a bit?
thaaaaaaaaaaaaaks
I tried this drill, even when on the drill, i dont do it well, my hand under water going deep. I dont know how to even do the drill correctly
i think it pretty good
if you think that too much rotation kills the speed and the catch I invite you to go watch Salim Iles Freestyle

I love how you said "squeezing your bum cheeks."
0:36 The arm movement is pretty bad actually... Bad elbow positioning.
I think at that point he's showing what not to do, an example of someone over rotating.
those elbows are sinking
he swims face up...not good for his back or his body position
Breathing is a real problem.
1:00 keep your chest what?
"out"
