I'm assuming it probably COST more for Winnepeg Transit to have Digitized "Run Number/Route Boxes" in the left hand corner of the Windshield like other Transit Systems...not the first System I know that doesn't! Still, impressive Buses! :)
Winnipeg did trial several all-electric buses a couple of years ago, but ultimately Winnipeg has some of the longest and coldest winters in Southern Canada. This likely affected their decision to buy a fleet at the present time.
Too costly to just change over and New Flyer works with Manitoba Hydro to produce one of the electric busses. They are built and tested in Winnipeg. Winnipeg has an electric bus route and will likely build a Green Line for BRT one day but has to spend on building the lines and new stations. They have to use up and are replacing buses with electric. Winnipeg is lucky not to have the scrap hybrid from Nova Bus. New Flyer from Winnipeg are the best quality city buses and can and do use bio diesel fuel.
New Flyer buses made in Canada, WOW what a concept!
Nee flyer has plants all over North America. The plant is in Strathcona takes up about 2 blocks.
@@Highwaycoachdriver Transcona.
@@Highwaycoachdriverah yes, Nee Flyer

Not sure, but I think on the brt you can get in at the back door too
Those alarms at the RT stations are interesting. I can kinda infer as to why they are there but what’s the exact purpose of them?
Crosswalk warning alarms - "Caution, Bus approaching!"
is the 530 the 677 route? 17:50
Yeah, but the front sign was either very dim or not working at all.
677
They make Eco-friendly battery powered electric buses in Canada! Winnipeg needs to get with the program.
